JAR! Just got back today from ferrying our H47 back to Atwood, been out of town and away from DCS for awhile. Doing some Ag Spray training tomorrow in a Cessna 188. Good to come home to one of your training vids! R, Curveball
Thanks for the video. The descriptions for the top down view of a virtual Apache plus the Bob Up box were really useful in understanding what they are. Cheers
Okay, for the ones [WITHOUT TRACK IR] and [VR]! Before you can do this, you have to turn the APU on and give it time to come to life. Then you have to turn the brightness of the boresight up by turning up the "PRIMARY" knob, located on the "INTR LT" [Interior lights] panel, which is located on the back left panel next to your seat. To line up your boresight, you have to use your "RCtrl + RShift + NUMBER PAD directional arrows" (Example: to move your view inside the cockpit to the right to line up the boresight [BY DEFAULT SETTINGS], press "Right Control + Right Shift + NUM6") Note: NOT the numbers across the top of your keyboard, it has to be the number pad on your keyboard. If you don't have a number pad, you'll have to change that in your settings by searching "View Cockpit". Note that this is set as the default keybind configuration by the game. If you changed these settings it will be different. You can check by going to "View Cockpit" and looking for the settings "Cockpit Camera View Right", "...Left", "...Up", "...Down", "...Forward", "Backward". It doesn't matter where you set this inside the cockpit after you finish with the boresighting you weapons, this is only for shifting the camera view so you can line up and set your boresight. After this is done, you can easily reset the original "center" view inside the cockpit by pressing the keybind for center view. For me it's RShift + Num5. While inside your settings page, note what your keybind for center view is under "Center Camera View". Hope this helps.
Cool video, man! Good you managed to escape that ground fire, it can mess up your day from time to time. 😉👍🏻🍻 Also, why not use FLOLS when landing? LoLs! 😁😉🙋🏼♂️ Cheers! 🍻🍻
Hey Raygun! Yeah man a few of the guys are flying the heck out of it. I make it on for Friday missions- it’s an amazing sim. Would love to catch up with you, you still into DCS?
@@JAR-STINGERS - Glad to hear it brother. I’ve actually been into iRacing for a while, took a break from flight Sims. Im actually ready to get back into DCS. I’ve missed flying with you guys. Got some new Virpil gear, getting ready to set it all up. Would love to catch up with you soon. Good to see you’re putting out videos. You’re so good at it, always entertaining.
6:54 if u pause here if this was real life u and "cpg" dead "round thru cockpit" is avoid at all and cost all tho ur just showing us something this would be a instance for distance and suppression until u get closer ands more accurate but not "hang over"

There's a lot of classic McDonnell-Douglas DNA in this chopper
That makes a lot more sense now with that visualisation you put in!
Thanks Walter, it took me a while to figure out what the bob-up box was!
Would love to see more of this JAR! Thanks...Juice

Are we going to get carrier group SOPs for rotary now that the apache is out? 😉
Ha ha cheers Adam but probably not sorry.
Does the symbology select switch only change the HUD display or does it change the flight behavior too?
I believe it’s purely HUD display
Still using VR mate? Or just TrackIR for the video?
Yes still on the Rift S - just use Track IR for making videos as it looks a lot nicer.
I think I learned some things.
Thanks man!
Jar! It’s RayGun… How’s it going dude? How you digging the Apache?

Apaches are durable "for survive and move away to distance " only ....not for mud fighting like the "a10"
