Thank you for the video, need bit of correction (but I'm happy to be corrected if what's mentioned below is incorrect 🙏) With options, it's always unlimited profit OR limited loss To be clear, if share price drops to 1800, we don't need to exercise, we'll end up loosing our premium of 20k. On the other hand, we'll exercise only if its above 2100. Profit = exercise - premium To make a profit in options, the share price need to go more than premium amount, in this example its 200. As an example, if the price goes to 2200, upon exercising our options, though we'll get 10k, but we paid 20k as premium, hence profit = (10k - 20k) = -10k, so we lost 10k in spite share going up! So break even point is, share price needs to go above (share price +premium), in this example its 2300 (2100+200). As mentioned earlier, if its drops below 2100, you got choice not to exercise hence loss remains & can't be more than 20k. This needs to be corrected in the video 🙏

@@drabhishek4032 Yes, option buyer has to pay to small premium( 8-20k ) but option seller has to provide full amount (1L+) because of this money difference retailer prefer to buy options whereas big institutes sell them
Option sellers are not necessarily less in market, they are always equal, without sellers there won't be buyers. Buying and selling is simultaneous. People with enough money and wanting to limit losses in a relatively stable market go for option selling, they have limited profits but higher probability of keeping it. In general most people hedge as someone else commented. So they also need to sell as part of the strategy.
In case of options. Option holder always have the choice not to buy or sell. If he exersise this choice than the maximum loss will be equal to primium amount. Is that right??

The unlimited loss happens only if one has written (sold) the option, but ofcourse seasoned people and professionals use proper adjustments and hedging for that. The 30000 loss you mentioned is actually 50000 (20000 (premium) + 30000 (price move)) only and only if the option is exercised, otherwise the actual loss is limited to 20000. That's why it's called as option. Options aren't that scary as this video makes it seem.
I didn't get the 2100 and 2300 example... If he pays 20000 margin and gets 20000 profit... Won't it be a no profit no loss case? How is the profit 100%?

Hi Ankur, actually in options you can't lose more than the premium amount + brokerage and taxes. if it falls much below, the option premium value will go 0. If you buy 20,000 of option, you risk 20,000+brokerage and taxes. Not 30,000. Hope that helps
You are absolutely right. The beauty of options are you can minimize the losses unlike future. So if stock price goes below the strike price at expiry, the call option buyer don't have obligations to buy those Stocks and can pay only premium/token amount and goes off.
This is the most genuine unpopular opinion. Many influencers, experts will encourage you to pursue with F&O. But according to me in this case luck plays a major role than experience, knowledge, technical and fundamental analysis.

Few things to correct here...you can't lose more than the premium amount paid in options buying. So, in your example if you have paid 20k for buying call option, you can lose only 20k at the max (worst case scenario). This is the basic principle of options buying. However, the option seller (writer) can lose unlimited..
Sir as you say in the last part of the video that loss is more than 20K for how to buy the Call option but sir who buy the call option his risk is limited, not more than 20K because he paid only a premium amount for this contract and his return is unlimited yes this scenario happen if someone Write the call option not buy because the writer (Seller) has unlimited risk and limited rewards

Earlier i used to say..i don't trade in future and options...but don't have concrete answere to why......after watching your vedio....i got my answere to why......thnks..and I only believe in investing not trading.....same as ankur
The 30000 loss you mentioned is actually 50000 (20000 (premium) + 30000 (price move)) only and only if the option is exercised, otherwise the actual loss is limited to 20000. That's why it's called as option. Options aren't that scary as this video makes it seem.
Yes..you are right!!He didn't even mentioned this part..

Hello what is the best way to get started with bitcoin investment or Forex trade cos I have been making my personal research for a while now
As a beginner who don't understand how bitcoin trade really work and you really want to make profit from it, I will advise you to first start working with a professional broker
That is true you need an expert broker an account manager to make good profit from bitcoin trade
How can someone know a professional account manager at least trustworthy when legit ones are hard to find these days
My first investment with expert mister Nicholas Barron give me a profit of $13,500 and ever since then he has has the most reliable sincere broker I know
I can't believe I was able to have $30000 worth of Bitcoin in just one month and half of trading with expert Mr Nicholas Barron trading services. Come across some nice comments about him on UA-cam and I give it a shot. I don't believe in Bitcoin before
I have seen many videos about options and future..... But finally I got the entire concept... Thank you so much sir 👍👍👍
Never found a more lucid explanation. Sir, one aspect was missing. The explanation ended with the only the scenario of us taking delivery of the stocks at expiry. We may also dispose the options to limit our losses in case the movement goes against the expected odds.
Thanks sir, people don't listen to ordinary person like me when I warn them about F&O, Greed blinds them. I Hope after watching you, they may understand the risks. Thanks again.
You're helping me in achieving my goal of financial literacy this year. Thanks a lot.
Was buying the options..
Fortunately!!!!
I watched your video Thanks Alot it really helped me out!!!
Wonderful. I had no idea what futures and options were. Definitely never getting into it though
Thank you for your advice maine bhi aaj tak F&O me trade nahi kiya wanted to know but got a conviction call from you and decided jitna hai cash me karo ✌🏻
Correct me if I'm wrong, max loss on options call would still be 20k.
Thank you so much, after watching so many F&O videos so much time spent, I found this video which explained everything so simpler.

You can tell Ankur learnt a lot when he met his financial gurus!

Dear Ankur, I have been following you for a very long time and find your videos very encouraging and useful. They are generally pitched at the level of a lay man and are easy to interpret. After watching this video, I want to ask if you really do not trade in future and options. It seems very lucrative but I am extremely hesitant. What should I do? I find everyone around me going for this and I feel I am left behind...... Guide me pl. I am very tempted though
Sir which app or broker you'll recommend for future and options, do answer our this quires too.

Hi Ankur, actually in options you can't lose more than the premium amount + brokerage and taxes.
if it falls much below, the option premium value will go 0.
If you buy 20,000 of option, you risk 20,000+brokerage and taxes. Not 30,000.
Hope that helps
Very true. And also you should put stop loss to save yourself from higher losses.
100% agree with u , i don't know why but investors never want retailers to trade and in hindsight Investors always trade to hedge their portfolio.
You are absolutely right. The beauty of options are you can minimize the losses unlike future. So if stock price goes below the strike price at expiry, the call option buyer don't have obligations to buy those Stocks and can pay only premium/token amount and goes off.
But in option selling u may loose a lot
@@gemsfactz Stop loss is there to help you out.
This is the most genuine unpopular opinion.
Many influencers, experts will encourage you to pursue with F&O.
But according to me in this case luck plays a major role than experience, knowledge, technical and fundamental analysis.
The last Example(30k loss) for options is wrong. You only lose premium in options else there will be no difference between futures and options.
yeah it means u will lose ur invested amount and also premium u paid for buying options .
Most easiest way someone can learn futures & options trading

Kyuki agar yaha pe me pehle se 20k option fees de rha hu aur then stock k price increase hone se mujhe profit 20k milega toh at the end toh sab 0 hi ho gaya na
Yes You are right
You can withdraw your initial or invested 20k rs so total money you will get will be 40k rs
are yaar 20k toh advance pay kiye the ... baki amount toh baad mein invest hoga i.e. 1L-20k.
@@aditya_kanu Delivery not available in Option COntract you just get your difference amount at expiry like if you bought @ 20 and premium goes up to 50 your profit is 50-20=30 because 20 you already paid as a premium
Yes... I had the same doubt.
Hey I would like to correct one thing Mr Warikoo. In option, if you buy a one, your loss is limited to the premium you’ve paid. In your example case you don’t loose 30K but 20K. In that if you have a stop loss or see a trend changing or a trend not forming you can exit early too.

How do you trade... Kudos to you but I wish it was me, I'd love to start trading but it is too complex for me to understand

@@Lilyoregon that's better I need an expert for this, how do I get across to him

Few things to correct here...you can't lose more than the premium amount paid in options buying. So, in your example if you have paid 20k for buying call option, you can lose only 20k at the max (worst case scenario). This is the basic principle of options buying. However, the option seller (writer) can lose unlimited..
That google doc at end of the video was really useful as well
Sir as you say in the last part of the video that loss is more than 20K for how to buy the Call option but sir who buy the call option his risk is limited, not more than 20K because he paid only a premium amount for this contract and his return is unlimited yes this scenario happen if someone Write the call option not buy because the writer (Seller) has unlimited risk and limited rewards
Rightly said, F&O is like a drug.
No words for this type Genuine knowledge and information

he is wrong max loss in option buying is premium you paid and profit is unlimited ,while if you sell option then profit is premium while loss is unlimited

I didn't get one thing sir, If I bought Reliance CE @50 (lot size 250), my investment is 12500. If Reliance share is down by 200rs or 300rs then CE value down to zero and my loss is 12500. option value don't go below zero. So how can we lost more money then investment if our trade went bad?
Yes sir , You are correct. In Options buying the maximum loss is our premium paid. not multiple times.
But in option selling there will be multiple time loss if our trade goes extremely wrong
And why these youtubers are spreading this wrong knowledge I don't know
If they (UA-camrs) Don't know the proper knowledge, then why they are making videos
@@shashankolivkar1689 options selling is safe than options buying. It's just that option selling required large amount like 1.5-2 lakhs.
@@anjb9115 yes margin is required for that minimum 2 lakhs

From this video I got the idea now I can move further
Hoping that on this topic you will make more videos
Keep make videos like these and educate us.
For options if my loss was 30,000 and I had already invested in margin of 20,000 then maybe I have option to not to buy it and breach the contract and my loss will be 20,000 at max right??
Exactly, there's a slight misinformation in the video. In options buying you only lose the option's premium when market goes against you, not more than that.

Reliance ko aag lag gayi 😂
Simple and accurate explanation...Thanks Ankur..!
You need to be a keen credit manager and expert analyst to trade F&O, there is a risk management theory which caps the risk and leaves the upside open, no disrespect to ankur sir, but learn F&O from an actual trader, you will understand why F&O is only risky when done by an amateur and not a profsnal
it requires lot of focus on moving stock price and with the help of trailing stoploss you can make a good profit. the best way to trade options is banknifty scalping
