Guys, here's the thing. The more technical is the sport, the harder it is to enjoy it if you don't know what the fuck they are doing or trying to do. Grappling is one of the most technical sports there is, so it's normal to not enjoy a match of this level if you are a blue belt.
Great potential for a fight, but both a bit gunshy. Can't blame them. One mistake and it's over. Shit, not even a mistake. Just being a second behind at this level and it's over. In matches that will go to the judges, BE ON TOP!
These guys are amazing at jiu Jitsu there's no doubt about it , I'd like to seek them both work on their wrestling in the near future . Took Ty way too long to realize he can just blast double the takedown off poor posture
Jiu Jitsu use to be so much more sick. This whole leg attack no gi wave has neutered bjj to an almost unwatchable level by even most grappling enthusiasts. The sport is in a bad place.
he didn't win.... he was playing guard retention the whole time and attempted 2 measley subs whereas Tye was the aggresor, took him down, attempted a sub of his own, and nearly had Chen's back. Everyone dik riding Chen are just B-Team fans.
@@ezequielcavazos6252exactly. Even at K1 and Pride events it is silent as hell in the crowd but when a beautiful technique happens everyone applauds and cheers.
@@odinzraider591I love how this is somehow the narrative. The kid was an orange belt 5 years ago so he was clearly training since he was a small child. Not sure where this 5 years of training narrative stems from?

Chess game
@swoopingeagle3942 - Well said!
No need to be a blue belt, to enjoy this game. I’m a fresh white belt, and I did enjoy every second of it…
I’m a black belt . I hate watching . Watching to study the art is the only thing I watch for . Other than that , grappling is boring as fuk to watch
@@salahfattah4867 happy to hear that, gives me hope that one day non practioners will enjoy the sport we love
Just finished watching Kade Ruotolo vs Andrew Tackett at day 2 of CJI.....NOW THATS MATCH OF THE YEAR!!!!!!!
This is why we need high level commentators. Still really good shit Josef
Testing the waters for CJI, good stuff
Nice fight. Jozef is really good at defense but Tye did more offense so that's why he won
Guard retention class
For someone who grew up watching Marcelo Garcia in action,I feel sorry for those who enjoyed this match.
Explain?
Definately not match of the year in my opinion
Chen is high level specially his defense here, but Tye was a notch better all around.
Chen is a Black Belt 🥋 Regardless Of His Actual
Rank
Definitely cant wait to see how CJI plays out

yup top wins
Big rutolo look kinda wild flying knees to the face
Watch jozef train it seems like dropping a knee on his face is inevitable while trying to get into any entry
JOZEF HAD A MAT SANDWICH
There's very little meat in these gym mats.
Tye got the victory with one takedown?
What if we gave them a weapon?
😅
Won fair and square!
The ring blocking the camera doesn’t help
And a cameraman blocking the camera. You can't make this up.
And the fight blocking the ring because the camera its blocking the cameraman

Ruotolo DEC
Chen
Typical b team stall there way to decisions
U gotta do a tie breaker

I agree. At least I think rodriguez bros and ruotolo bros are trying to change that.
After watching Marcelo Garcia highlights… this was slow… 😅
They both whoop prime Marcelo tho
its highlights lol. of course slow moments wont be included
Nothing was decided.

Felt like a Gi match.
Harsh critique, but not wrong.
Click bate 😂 not the match up of the year dislike button 😂
Not match of the year lol
Damn, this is BOOOOOORING!!!!!
I really thought Josef won, only b/c he tried more than once to pull of a sub, while Tye spent most of his time trying to pass the guard
he didn't win.... he was playing guard retention the whole time and attempted 2 measley subs whereas Tye was the aggresor, took him down, attempted a sub of his own, and nearly had Chen's back. Everyone dik riding Chen are just B-Team fans.
You sound so stupid sorry
@@firehousehostel75 It is what it is with B-team fans. Kinda toxic. I know because I'm one.
@firehouse: bs😂
@@firehousehostel75 what sub did Tye attempt. He didn't even pass Chen's guard
This sport isn't good to watch.
Just like baseball. Fun to do but boring as fuck to watch
Boring af
Terrible standup

You must have tinnitus or similar or you're going insane hearing noises that aren't there. You should get some medical help before it gets worse!
B.S. match B.S. decision 😢
Mmmmmm boring match
chen did nothing B team sucks
Jozef has only been training for 5 years and took one of the best guys in the world at his weight to a decision.
Yeah ok warrior 😂😂 only taking on one of the best in the world.
Yet Tye could do nothing to his guard but got exposed to some leg entries
@@odinzraider591I love how this is somehow the narrative. The kid was an orange belt 5 years ago so he was clearly training since he was a small child. Not sure where this 5 years of training narrative stems from?
In fact in a gi match could be even victory for the guard retention
