Hello Lisa ....I just ran across your video ...I am very impressed with is video and will be checking out more of them ..I live in Saskatchewan by a Boreal Forest which have many natural plants that I have been harvesting ....chaga ....burdock.....Dandelion ...birch ...tamarack and many more.....all these herbs have made such an impact on my everyday life by taking them .....Labrador is going to be on my list this coming up summer....once again ...awesome video and i will be checking out more of your channel.
Great video, very well presented! I love Labrador Tea too, some of my fondest memories working with this plant was on a family vacation to Newfoundland back in 2018. It was a trip of a lifetime, and there was Labrador Tea growing almost everywhere! I enjoyed several cups during that trip. Good times indeed. 😊
no way...I was also in Newfoundland summer of 2018, it was my last trip. Since then I’ve pretty much hunkered down here. I also loved Newfoundland; we went because we could bring our dogs with us, it was incredible, and I think about it often…unfortunately I wasn’t into foraging back then so I didn’t gather anything…I guess have to go back 😉 I’m so happy you enjoyed the video, thank you very much for watching!
You have peaked my interest and I will be looking for and harvesting Labrador Tea. No doubt that it grows in my area. I know preferences differ and I don’t feel your videos are too long. One of the great things about UA-cam is the ability to fast forward and rewind. One of the first things I learned to do after getting our property was to light a fire using dry plant matter, feathered twigs or horse hoove mushrooms with a ferro rod. I try to not use matches now so I can stay in practice. Keep doing what you’re doing because you’re doing a great job.
Hi Lisa Thanks so much for the feedback and the kind words, I really appreciate it. When I decided to make a UA-cam channel, I did not expect to meet so many wonderful people through the comments. I love getting to know a little bit about others and their path. It’s a lovely aspect, especially since coming from the finance world, I don’t know very many people who see the woods the way I do, so it’s so nice to connect with like-minded people through here. Thank you for sharing a bit of your life. I have in my head to build 3 off grid cabins on the property, just like you 😊 Hope to hear from you again, and goodluck with your Labrador tea hunt! Cheers
Your shrimp of the woods video brought me to your channel. I'm a mushroom nerd so would like to say show me more on that but I've enjoyed watching all three videos now. Care for some constructive criticism? Just on UA-cam algorithm you kind of give too much information. You would know better than me where to make cuts but I think you'll get more viewers if you get to the "thing" a bit better. Only related because I'm commenting to a newer channel, care to make a video about why you're doing what you are? You're first video impressed me with that battery chain saw but I kind of want to know why you're cutting a trail. This video and the shrimp video showed me you really know the outdoors and a "why" could be fun to know.
Thanks for the comments Zach, I really appreciate it. I myself enjoy a good ~20min video with no ads but yeah...everyone around me is telling me to make them shorter. I had in my mind to make an intro video explaining how I got here, and why I'm doing what I'm doing, so it's good to know at least one person is interested😅, I will eventually post one. Hope you enjoy the new stuff coming up! Cheers
