I have to say in agreement what a wonderful soap, the lather keeps coming! I initially overlooked it in favor of more expensive soaps but now realise it's a must for every shave rotation.
I just shaved with Cella for the 1st time. Whao what a difference. Bye Bye Barbasol!!! I went all in with a Pre-Shave Oil, Alum Block, and Aftershave Balm. Amazing difference on my sensitive skin...
@@MarkSzoradyI shaved with cell yesterday first time..was wondering if bowl shave produces more lather ? Although I m satisfied with the way shown in video I wanted a thicker consistency
Funny you said you enjoy the lathering.... I'm old now....I remember watching my Grandfather lathering with his brush. I like you enjoy to prepare whip/lather, and apply with my brush. I have a heavy steel barb wire for a beard and when shaving often think of my Pepe-Pere (Grandfather). Shaving is an experience of men, not a task to preparing for the days work.
Oh yeah, Mark I took part of my break to watch and inspire myself by you, lol... Let me confess that seeing you lathering Cella Milano and its 1Kg brick you bought... Wow 🤣, about three months ago... oh boy, I had to smell that too and feel by myself that sleekness in Curitiba-Brazil 🇧🇷, and I also loved to get to know Cella near to Christmas 🎄, Thanks 2 U again Mark! Hi, Ander, I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the video. :) Cella is good stuff! Gret scent and really lathers a treat! Yes, the scnt really adds to the Christmas season for sure! However, I'm sure in Brazil the weather is more cooperative than it is for use here in Ohio. :) Thanks, again for the kind words. :)
Hi, David.:) Dr. Pepper? That's interesting as most find its scent similar to Christmas cookies.:) Then again, I couldn't say as I've not had a bottle of Dr. Pepper in years.:) Regardless, enjoy the wet shaving adventure!:)
Hi mark, I also love Cella but dislike the small container. Heres a helpful tip. Ive scooped out all my cella & placed it in a Stirling 6oz empty container. These containers are $3.10 for 6oz but do sell smaller containers. Fits perfect, still room for water to soak, best part it lathers faster & easier to the brush. I really hope this helps someone out as it did myself.
Richard, lately I've been bowl lathering more and more. Start with more soap than water...Add water little by little. Check out this recent Cella review form last month: ua-cam.com/video/aE8dNB_pZPM/v-deo.html

Hi Mark. Great video. Bought the Cella based on your recommendation. Love the All-Italian theme. Gonna copy it on Columbus Day, St Joseph’s Day, and St Anthony’s Day. So I guess I “need” to buy a Fatip. Your favorite?
Hi Mark. I'm fairly new to wet shaving and have enjoyed your videos. (I live a little North of Columbus.) I really like Cella too but I find it clogs my razor. I have a Vikings Blade Emperor Augustus and I'm using the 3 or 4 settings. Is it the Cella or the razor?

I have Cella for over a week now..whay a great smell and great leather..yes the tub is small. Just lather your tips of thebrush a little bit and continu in a bowl. You dont need much, its a lathering monster.

My pleasure.:) As viewer Patrick Eruimy pointed out, Cella can be scooped out and placed in a shaving bowl and then worked into a lather (if you prefer not doing a face lather). I tried this method this morning and it worked wonderfully well!:)
Absolutely no need to load the brush long with Cella. I bloom the soap and load the brush for 4 seconds and that will easily generate enough lather for a 3 pass shave.
Raymond, Cella Red is tallow based, Proraso is non-tallow. Both make great lathers. Cella Red has a almond cherry scent. Cella Green is non-tallow with a fresh aloe vera scent. Proraso can be had in a menthol/eucalyptus, Sandalwood, or a fresh scent. Entirely up to the individual user which factors are fit their shave Again, both make wonderful lathers.
@@raymondfoo9045 Perhaps at the mass-commercial level. Try an artisan soap like PAA or Stirling for some real contrast to the in lather, glide, and protection. I'm a big fan of PAA's formula CK-6. It's just almond, artificial cherry flavouring often uses almond oil as a cost effective substitute which is why everyone makes that mistake of mixing them up. But as our brain is basically tricking itself into believing something it doesn't really make a difference which scent it actually is as long as we associate something pleasant with it
I double-checked my Cella soap this morning. No color change as far as I can see. Mine was purchased on November 29, 2018. So, not yet a year old. Gave me a really nice close shave this morning with my Vulcan razor and a Cayenne Hot blade.:)
Absolutely! You can do this with Cella or just about any shave soap. Just scrape some off, smoosh/spread it into a scuttle or lathering bowl, and build your lather that way. I have some videos where I do exactly this.:)
Yes, the container is definitely not for larger brushes. I want to use my 30 mm Yaqi synthetic shave brush, but it's simply too big for the Cella container. Your solution is inspired! I may do some scooping myself!:)
Shaved with it this morning!:) A wonderful three-pass shave using an Edwin Jagger Barley razor, and Personna Blue (Israel) Blade. I also used a Semogue 830 boar brush. I still think I get more lather with shave soaps using a synthetic brush, but the boar did a capable job.:)
