    I would imagine you already have a good process for removing those broken studs, but I'm just going to throw this out there. I remove broken bolts and studs quite often with little difficulty. What I do is take a bolt and sharpen it like a pencil on the threaded end. I'll take the TIG machine and puddle the end of the stud and join that to the sharpened bolt, then quickly hit it with some PB Blaster while it's piping hot. They usually just back out after that. if not a second go takes care of 99% of the broken seized bolts and studs I've encountered. Thanks for putting out such great content as always.

      Pretty much how we do it! But we use a nut, weld the nut to the broken piece and turn it

    2:57 you mentioned the intakes have a slight float issue by what you see. What exactly are you noticing to signal a float issue?

    • @headgames
      @headgames  7 місяців тому +3

      The 45 degree angle on the valve gets beat in so there’s a ledge.

    • @highpsiguy4085

      @@headgames that makes sense. So is a ledge generally ALWAYS a sign of float? Or the only cause should I say

    • @headgames
      @headgames  7 місяців тому +4

      @@highpsiguy4085 always a sign. When the valve spring is controlled the valve won’t wear. It’s when the valve is pounded into the seat that it wears

      No bad intentions it's all good. I heard ls7 head dropping valves. Is this similar?

    • @headgames
      @headgames  7 місяців тому +2

      I didn't think it was a bad intention, no harm. I really did mess that up! Glad your a fan of matt and know what it's for!
      Not the same as the LS7. LS7 wears the guides out, wears the valve and then drops the valve. I have seen plenty of those but this is a first with the seat falling out and not being a catastrophic failure@@mrphiscal
