Just gonna interject here, light speed and relativistic speed is actually pretty consistent in the inFamous universe. For starters, yes, the move is flat out called light speed, but it's also just blatantly described as transforming his body into light. You can't really say that the power to turn into light to amp your speed doesn't make you as fast as light. It'd be one thing if he just glowed, but this is a direct speed amp correlating with light. Also while using this, Fetch can amp her speed even further with neon gas and can react just fine while running around the city at literal faster than light speeds. The only real arguments against light speed being as fast as light are gameplay related ones, stuff like it takes too long to outrun a car or run up a building. But those are just concessions for gameplay's sake, and game mechanics are perhaps the least reliable sources when it comes to scaling a character. Additionally even non-light related conduits have pulled off relativistic feats, such as Cole being able to dodge beams of electromagnetic radiation, which moves at light speed. And let's not forget that many of the neon powers are described straight up as being lasers or light beams, and Fetch and Delsin can dodge these beams pretty consistently. Personally I don't see where the debate comes in for speed in inFamous, it seems pretty open and shut, with naming, feats, statements, and scaling all backing it up. If it's because Delsin caught Fetch off guard, that's because A. he snuck up on her, and B. Delsin was already capable of relativistic reactions, shown as he could dodge her lasers when they first encountered one another.

no, Delsin can't run at the speed of light even if he uses the neon dash, he can't even break the sound barrier. When he uses the neon dash, his body transforms into neon GAS, not light, the reason why it glows when he activates the neon dash is because of the electricity that flows in it, and also, the reason why it's called "light speee" is because Sucker Punch named the dash because it glows, not because it lets Delsin and Fetch go at the speed of light, they just named it like that because it sounded cool and that's it
I'd say its actually a stalemate, due to how Delsins body works with being an embodiment of whatever element he has at the time, and Mercers hellish regen. Delsin can get health back from smoke stacks, neon signs, and tvs and such. Alex gets health back from consuming people, neither would actually be able to kill the other.

This isn't how that works. Alex feats and scale is significantly lower than Delsin First Delsin can absorb mass into energy by converting mass into energy. Atomizing Alex into particle cells and nullifying the virus. Delsin dodges and reacts to light, radio waves, and hypersonic missiles. Alex has never showed speed or reactions close to this. By canon Delsin one shot a mid size Island, superior to the nuke that killed Alex which was also the end tail not even the nexus of the blast. Delsin turns mass into energy. Alex is and absorb mass. Perfect for Delsin to allow Alex to touch him so that can convert him to energy and since Delsin has significantly better speed feats and reaction guess what happens? Bye Mercer. Delsin doesn't need to absorb to heal and in comics we get confirmed that Conduits after a while can produce whatever element or energy they manipulate. Game mechanics require constant absorbing but outside of that Del doesn't need to absorb unless he spams and spams and spams like an idiot. Delsin also beat Augustine who has 7 years of master of her powers and managed to shift tectonic plates to create Curdain Cay and move entire 7000 ton bridges. Yeah Alex ain't would be a early boss. I feel like you're giving Delsin a lot more credit than he deserves which isn't a bad thing but I definitely feel like if we're going off the canon good ending Alex stomps. Especially when you look at his true, extended list of canon abilities. Delsin could absolutely stand a chance with literally almost every conduits powers, and that could turn the tables. But at this point we've seen Mercer take over NYC, throw tanks with ease, run with 7ton cars doing front flips and just being an overpowered monster. He takes direct missile hits, and from the backlash of a nuke he ate a crow and was reborn. Delsin is way too outmatched and with the 4 powers he has, even at max potential he's still outclassed.

You have Delsin fight against the DUP, a super human military branch that was made to fight off Conduits who have super powers themselves, which can level multi city blocks. Even Smoke/Ash allows Delsin to move and react to Fetch and Eugene who use SoL attacks, and he can counter them. If Delsin execute a stronger attack by force and joules than the city nuke that nearly killed Alex, and who by luck recovered because a crow landed, Delsin one shots Alex. Delsin is significanlty more faster, and we know blast cores increase a Conduits power and physical enhancements. If he can land and tank the blow itself from the mid size island he nuked, he can tank anything Alex sends his way. Just because in game mechanics Alex is crazier physically doesnt mean thats how it works. both have regen, and both can absorb to increase the speed of regen, however, what will Alex do when he think he can grab Delsin, and not get atomized and converted to energy since Delsin can atomize and conver mass, which is Alex's weakness anyways. cmon man. Ya need to start really being unbiased and look at their feats and power scale properly. So by default Cole and Delsin are significantly faster. Reaction wise. Delsin speed wise as well. Delsi. Also took down Eugene who created a entire world. The argument if it's boundless dimension or not. Regardless Augustine has 7 years of experience, Fetch 4 and Eugene 5. Delsin Orbital Drop sank a Island. Alex barely covers multi city blocks.
3:40 the structure had several supports destroyed, Augustine was also doing damage to the structure and even if she wasn’t it took several of delsin’s most powerful attacks to destroy it. And in all likelihood it was Augustine that was doing the most damage since she’s the one who fucking built it in the first place Crazy that people think this is better then Cole one-shotting an aircraft carrier

I think delsin would win because his neon powers would make him faster and he can make people float and his radiant sweep will allow him to turn his body into pure energy and hover in the thin air desintigrating Alex when he uses his tendril devastater and the way I also see it is that I delsin has better advantage of using his smoke power because if they both fight and start destroying and blowing stuff up everywhere delsin could just absorb the smoke everywhere and has a better chance at using smoke and if Alex uses his spikes from the ground delsin would go into his orbital drop from and dive down on top of him blowing up and not saying this take him out instantly delsin has better special abilities then Alex does anyone think Delsin can win please tell me nicely
I think Delsin is really strong and versatile, but Alex has too many hax and is too much of an unrelenting force, I think Alex will eventually overcome or just Tank all of Delsins attacks to the point to where he could come up with a strategy.

Concrete has shown to mess with the durability of whatever it encases, making them more fragile as he threw augustine over a height most other conduct can easy walk away from if they fall and she broke her back and died. Neon has statis bubble which levitates his target in frozen time, allowing delsin to target his weak spots. Delsin is too powerfull and vertisile for alex to even stand a chance to come anywhere close to him.

Alex Mercer based on what the director said can run up to 360 miles, sure but his reaction is slower than both Cole and Delsins. This isnt even a contest. Alex Mercer got one shot by the ass of a nuke. Wasnt even in the epicenter, and by LUCK a crow landed on his dying toxins and he used it to heal, if not he was gonna die. Cole and Delsin should scale to each other based on how Core relays and Blast Shards work. Delsins Smoke Blast and missiles are hypersonic, and Delsin is faster than Cole who literally dodges Electricity which are 50 to 100% speed of light, and even radiation blast which are SoL. Alex has never dodged or showed he can dodged anything close to that, and at best is a high tier super sonic reactor. Video uses radio waves and data and light, Alex wont dodge or react to this. Neon is confirmed Light, Alex wont react to this Smoke clearly reacts fast enough to dodged turrets and even let Delsin react to Fetch and Eugene Light and Radio Wave attacks. Alex gets one shot period. Also Delsin regen is very likely better than Alex. He doesnt need to absorb mass and Delsin can also atomize mass which is what Alex is, and atomize into energy. Alex mercers powers are infinite, he can never run out of the ability to use his claws, hammerfist, tendrils for as long as he’s alive. I respectfully disagree with this verdict because I feel you aren’t really taking proper power scaling into account. Delsins basics attacks are capable of completely disintegrating humans and DUP troops into energy, which should put his Attack Potency at Large Mountain + which is far more than anything Alex mercer has survived even if you include his nuke feat which he didn’t even tank as he was reduced to just a few strands of the virus and needed biomass to heal. Delsin and Fetch do have light speed scaling and travel speed, it’s stated in game descriptions and by Delsin himself. He and Fetch are not manipulating neon gas which makes up 1% of the air we breath but instead “charged neon light” energy, which is very different so their speed scaling stands. Plus Delsin also has light speed scaling in video seeing as TV signals travel at light speed and Delsin uses those signals to travel both with his wings and from satellites. Based on the power-scaling I personally think Delsin wins easily as he’s just too fast and too powerful for Alex. If I missed out on anything lemme know cause I’m not the biggest fan of prototype and I only played the first game

Just gonna interject here, light speed and relativistic speed is actually pretty consistent in the inFamous universe. For starters, yes, the move is flat out called light speed, but it's also just blatantly described as transforming his body into light. You can't really say that the power to turn into light to amp your speed doesn't make you as fast as light. It'd be one thing if he just glowed, but this is a direct speed amp correlating with light. Also while using this, Fetch can amp her speed even further with neon gas and can react just fine while running around the city at literal faster than light speeds. The only real arguments against light speed being as fast as light are gameplay related ones, stuff like it takes too long to outrun a car or run up a building. But those are just concessions for gameplay's sake, and game mechanics are perhaps the least reliable sources when it comes to scaling a character. Additionally even non-light related conduits have pulled off relativistic feats, such as Cole being able to dodge beams of electromagnetic radiation, which moves at light speed. And let's not forget that many of the neon powers are described straight up as being lasers or light beams, and Fetch and Delsin can dodge these beams pretty consistently. Personally I don't see where the debate comes in for speed in inFamous, it seems pretty open and shut, with naming, feats, statements, and scaling all backing it up. If it's because Delsin caught Fetch off guard, that's because A. he snuck up on her, and B. Delsin was already capable of relativistic reactions, shown as he could dodge her lasers when they first encountered one another.

no, Delsin can't run at the speed of light even if he uses the neon dash, he can't even break the sound barrier. When he uses the neon dash, his body transforms into neon GAS, not light, the reason why it glows when he activates the neon dash is because of the electricity that flows in it, and also, the reason why it's called "light speee" is because Sucker Punch named the dash because it glows, not because it lets Delsin and Fetch go at the speed of light, they just named it like that because it sounded cool and that's it

I feel like you're giving Delsin a lot more credit than he deserves which isn't a bad thing but I definitely feel like if we're going off the canon good ending Alex stomps. Especially when you look at his true, extended list of canon abilities. Delsin could absolutely stand a chance with literally almost every conduits powers, and that could turn the tables. But at this point we've seen Mercer take over NYC, throw tanks with ease, run with 7ton cars doing front flips and just being an overpowered monster. He takes direct missile hits, and from the backlash of a nuke he ate a crow and was reborn. Delsin is way too outmatched and with the 4 powers he has, even at max potential he's still outclassed.

You have Delsin fight against the DUP, a super human military branch that was made to fight off Conduits who have super powers themselves, which can level multi city blocks. Even Smoke/Ash allows Delsin to move and react to Fetch and Eugene who use SoL attacks, and he can counter them. If Delsin execute a stronger attack by force and joules than the city nuke that nearly killed Alex, and who by luck recovered because a crow landed, Delsin one shots Alex. Delsin is significanlty more faster, and we know blast cores increase a Conduits power and physical enhancements. If he can land and tank the blow itself from the mid size island he nuked, he can tank anything Alex sends his way. Just because in game mechanics Alex is crazier physically doesnt mean thats how it works. both have regen, and both can absorb to increase the speed of regen, however, what will Alex do when he think he can grab Delsin, and not get atomized and converted to energy since Delsin can atomize and conver mass, which is Alex's weakness anyways. cmon man. Ya need to start really being unbiased and look at their feats and power scale properly. I think delsin would win because his neon powers would make him faster and he can make people float and his radiant sweep will allow him to turn his body into pure energy and hover in the thin air desintigrating Alex when he uses his tendril devastater and the way I also see it is that I delsin has better advantage of using his smoke power because if they both fight and start destroying and blowing stuff up everywhere delsin could just absorb the smoke everywhere and has a better chance at using smoke and if Alex uses his spikes from the ground delsin would go into his orbital drop from and dive down on top of him blowing up and not saying this take him out instantly delsin has better special abilities then Alex does anyone think Delsin can win please tell me nicely
I think Delsin is really strong and versatile, but Alex has too many hax and is too much of an unrelenting force, I think Alex will eventually overcome or just Tank all of Delsins attacks to the point to where he could come up with a strategy.

Delsin can just burn him using smoke, and even if that wont work then he can use video to seal alex up inside a videogame and keep him locked up in a prison where he is unable to escape from until the battery dies and so does mercer as the memory gets wiped by old age.
Concrete has shown to mess with the durability of whatever it encases, making them more fragile as he threw augustine over a height most other conduct can easy walk away from if they fall and she broke her back and died.
Neon has statis bubble which levitates his target in frozen time, allowing delsin to target his weak spots.
Delsin is too powerfull and vertisile for alex to even stand a chance to come anywhere close to him.
Unless Alex Mercer one shots a Island like Delsin did, with Orbital Drop which is a mid size island and reinforced by Augustine after he one shots it the first time, Alex Mercer AP and damage output means nothing. Lets not even put Neon which is armor piercing and has anti gravity feats, which would blitz Alex Mercer.
Alex Mercer based on what the director said can run up to 360 miles, sure but his reaction is slower than both Cole and Delsins. This isnt even a contest. Alex Mercer got one shot by the ass of a nuke. Wasnt even in the epicenter, and by LUCK a crow landed on his dying toxins and he used it to heal, if not he was gonna die. Cole and Delsin should scale to each other based on how Core relays and Blast Shards work. Delsins Smoke Blast and missiles are hypersonic, and Delsin is faster than Cole who literally dodges Electricity which are 50 to 100% speed of light, and even radiation blast which are SoL. Alex has never dodged or showed he can dodged anything close to that, and at best is a high tier super sonic reactor.
Video uses radio waves and data and light, Alex wont dodge or react to this.

Smoke clearly reacts fast enough to dodged turrets and even let Delsin react to Fetch and Eugene Light and Radio Wave attacks.
Alex gets one shot period. Also Delsin regen is very likely better than Alex. He doesnt need to absorb mass and Delsin can also atomize mass which is what Alex is, and atomize into energy. So the moment Alex tries to "absorb" Del, he would be converted into energy.
This isnt even a fair fight. Delsin OD literally one shot a mid size island, which is above a nuke.

So what’s stopping Delsin from using his ability to disintegrate people which mercer has no feat to suggest he will be able to resist? One good hit and mercer is gone. Btw he doesn’t need neon to disintegrate opponents he can do that with all powers.

Someone having better durability than another doesn’t mean they have the same resistance to hax. In this instance while mercer has better durability than both Delsin And Augustine, he doesn’t have resistance to his ability to transform matter into elements, which means that Delsin would most likely win without breaking a sweat because he’s a long range fighter and because mercer has no knowledge of his abilities he won’t be able to formulate a strategy against him.
Mercer would need better resistance to matter transmutation (which he will never have) to even suggest that he will be able to resist it.

Alex mercers powers are infinite, he can never run out of the ability to use his claws, hammerfist, tendrils for as long as he’s alive. Delsin has to drain objects to recharge his elemental abilities . Plus mercer is waay more durable.
Delsins only advantage is his powerful projectiles via concrete or video.
Other than that It’ll be a quick fight in mercers favorite .

Also, in comics Cole states that after a while he can generate his own electricity of course doest mean absorbing from out side sources isnt there as a option. Delsin can still kick, slap, and use his chain or whatever weapon he picks up, but it wouldnt matter. Orbital Drop one shots. How we know this? He one shot a island, which requires stronger power than a city nuke which btw the tail killed Alex not the epicenter. You think Alex can react to Neon which is light speed? I respectfully disagree with this verdict because I feel you aren’t really taking proper power scaling into account.
Delsins basics attacks are capable of completely disintegrating humans and DUP troops into energy, which should put his Attack Potency at Large Mountain + which is far more than anything Alex mercer has survived even if you include his nuke feat which he didn’t even tank as he was reduced to just a few strands of the virus and needed biomass to heal.
Delsin and Fetch do have light speed scaling and travel speed, it’s stated in game descriptions and by Delsin himself. He and Fetch are not manipulating neon gas which makes up 1% of the air we breath but instead “charged neon light” energy, which is very different so their speed scaling stands. Plus Delsin also has light speed scaling in video seeing as TV signals travel at light speed and Delsin uses those signals to travel both with his wings and from satellites.
Based on the power-scaling I personally think Delsin wins easily as he’s just too fast and too powerful for Alex.
