What I like about Greg he is about fishing. He is not always trying to sell me something. He gives you honest opinions regarding gear. His videos is why I'm going to start kayak fishing this year.
Greg is a huge reason why I got into kayak fishing. And agreed that he's not trying to sell you something. Sometimes I really have to search to try and figure out what exact gear he's using. Love his setup reviews, though.
Best part of a Blanchard drop day is being able to watch your vids with my coffee in the morning. That’s what life is all about my man. Literally the best channel on UA-cam without a doubt.
GB! You are the real MVP bro! I was one of the folks that requested the knot tutorial, it's very much appreciated that you pay attention to your comments and respond in an actual video! That's bad ass man. At least twice, I've watched my A-rig sail off like a paper airplane from my weak knots and will be adding this to my lines. Have been and will continue to sub and take notes while watching.
Thanks man! Do my best to try to address popular questions! This knot is legit man. I've had my a rig snagged up with 20# fluorocarbon and the jig hook straightened out before the knot broke!
@@GregBlanchardFishing I’m giving it a try no doubt. I know you know how it is spending time planning and setting up a rig only to get broken off the first cast, it’s like your soul is broken off for a brief moment lol. Keep chasing them high tides man those beasts are out there!
Up at 5am this morning looking for a video drop. Lol. Another quality video. I'll be out for first kayak trip of the year here in Illinois next weekend. Ice is gone. 😁
@Jared Malone I have fished 3 of the lakes a pyramid, only in a boat. Just started kayak fishing 3 years ago. There are alot of the small ponds that ibwant to hit out there this year with the kayak
Mannnn it must be so nice to fish all year round man. We are all itching up here in the northeast. Cant wait for spring spawn. Ahhhhhh gonna kill it this season. All are lakes and ponds are up so high from the winter. Cant wait. Keep keelin Greger love the content man!!
You are not kidding about the tides. We went out of Big Break yesterday and it was out going to low and we struggled big time. Threw everything but the kitchen sink and only managed 3 bites and 2 landed and buddy zeroed. My favorite is halfway through incoming to high. Glad to see you got on some fish. Tight Lines!
Mr. Blanchard, digging the videos of the delta. If you're up for an adventure, just south of Giusti's bridge on the Staten Island side is some excellent bass fishing. Small mouth. Used to regularly produce 3 plus pound smallies. Blue Fox vibrax. Catfish and Striper on the occasion. Tight lines.
I cant agree with you more about better fishing during high tides. Whether I am fishing the Delaware River or fishing for fluke(summer flounder) from shore, I have noticed that high tides produce much better! Great vid as always!
Nice day. Thanks for showing the knot. I'll try it next time. Sometimes the polymer knot is hard to tie on certain baits. One of these days i am going to have to learn how to jig fish. it looks like it pays off. Thanks again for taking me fishing with you.
Greg, Thanks for the knot lesson, I have seen Swindel’s video where he tied this knot. Your tutorial makes me want to use it. I am going to add this to my knots. I seem to only be able to remember two at a time. This is so similar to the Palomar my favorite knot. I think I can remember how to tie it when I am on the water. I even carry a waterproof book of knots in my bag, my problem is I never open it up when fishing, Bass Fever takes over.
Seriously love that knot. I started using it this past year when I started using fluorocarbon a lot more. I do four wraps for line with < 15 lb break strength rating. Some people call it the double San Diego jam for some reason, but it definitely isn't a real variation of that knot. The San Diego jam goes through the gap between the line at the hook eye before going through the upper loop. This would put a serious kink in fluorocarbon and make it a terrible knot for it. It works fine for braid to do it that way, though. This knot, whatever you want to call it, is great for avoiding any kinking or burning with the very "frictiony" fluorocarbon. But that friction means that our knots can be a little less complicated.
That was a nice day, sunny day and catching fishing! Yes, the tides make the fish bite turn on and off like a light switch! I caught a striper last week it was delish for dinner! Enjoyed the early vid drop, Greg!
Hey! Thanks for finally showing your knott! I've been wondering for a while what you tied. I thought you was just doing a doubled up cinch or improved cinch knott. Really appreciate the little things.
You are amazing! Four of us fished snodgrass slough area on Thur 3/4 for 5+ hours, we all got nada! Fished the same baits or similar to you in this video. Fished rising tide to high tide.
Really enjoyed this one! One of your best vids. Your discussion of the tide influence was great! When I learned to tie that knot it was called the San Diego jam knot. Use it a lot! Good luck this year!
Just a wonderful show Greg I appreciate it! As usual I was sitting here this morning watching your program as I always do and was thinking just what you were talking about, the Knot you use for your jig ! Thank you !
Greg really liked the over head drone footage of the Delta. Sometimes I think I prefer your Delta videos. Don't know, just seems more like natural wild fish. Like more an accomplishment. Don't get me wrong enjoy the Lake videos and surely the Tournaments. Same red lure eh? Right on had that lure for some years, haven't used it. Anyways loved the video! Wouldn't be against seeing another Striper video or two ;) P.S. yeah the LMB on that Jig was solid!
I don’t get the 8 people that gave you a thumbs down. Bunch of haters. Awesome video made me want to get out on the Delta and do some early morning fishing.
First two hours before or after high tide with a high tidal coefficient or major swing up or down always the best. If you can catch it first light or sundown it’s a guaranteed good time on the delta.
The Pallimar knot is the best!!! Ive never lost a fish or lure bc of it. So would it be safe to say, when its high tide go shallow? And when is low tide, fish deeper?!

God spring can't come fast enough up north. How is the new set of rods and reels? I ended up getting all Denali Lithium and Phenix rods but I like the look of those revo reels.
I saw an older video of yours testing a bixpy motor. I see you now use the torqeedo. what are the pros and cons of of a bixpy vs torqeedo trolling motor for a kayak?

"just the tip" 14:50. Ha! Had to call that out. Great net use btw! Great Vid. A++
Can’t wait to hit the delta again. Its been three years!!!!!!!
Man! I cant wait for the water temps to start rising! Tired of these 40° water temps... another killer video Greg! 🔥🔥🔥

Actually in O Fallon, IL. Just letting the water warm up a bit as I have no cold water gear. Lol

Every fish I lose is a 10 pounder. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.
Never resonated with statement so much.
lol
Yup,never lost one under 10 either

I love that JJ's stuff dude. You're right, out if the water it may not look like much, but in the water it makes a HUGE difference
Slept in a bit so I'm a little late but got all the essentials... breakfast , coffee & Blanchard video! Let the day begin.

You’re fishing my favorite bank-fishing site! You’re totally right about hitting it on both sides of high tide.
I always called that knot the Double San Diego Jam Knot.
Yeah that's the "official" name of it I was just gonna comment 😂
Thx for the tip on the floro knot will definitely have to give it a try!
I agree that knot is the best. Double San Diego Jam knot or back in the day we called it the Shaw knot
Thanks for the fishing updates! Love the beautiful scenery! Be safe and thanks again!!
Man I can't wait to get back in the yak. Have to say you were a big influence on me purchasing one. Absolutely love it. Nice fish. Thanks for videos!

Cant miss a Saturday early upload! Much support from Texas
Nice chunks Greg!! Glad I was up to catch it early. Tidal fisheries definitely are a different breed. Thank you Sir for the video.
Best time is high tide. It’s a struggle when the tide is really low. Awesome video Greg.
Thanks for showing that know. That was the first time I had actually seen it.

Thanks for showing that knot! I was wondering what you been using. Gonna try it

i've always used the fish n fool knot for every line, braid, mono and flouro.
Thanks for the knot tip Greg. Awsome fishing. Always get nervous when I tie a favorite or more expensive bait. Be safe bro..😁👍
Let’s get Greg too 100k subs..great fishing as always

Your video are always aesthetically pleasing and it seems like you make these videos effortlessly. ❤️
i think its pretty awesome that you use left and right hand reels!
Nice to see boaters checking on you out there instead of cutting you off, Great video as usual.

The morning high tide is the move, I’ve always fished the pm high tide and the bite isn’t so good. Keep up the awesome fishing vids 💪💪👍🎣
Thanks for the knot, I’m trying that out. I’ve always wanted to try fluorocarbon.

Lovin that intro music greg 👌🏼
Keep em coming, thanks for the great content!
I like the Palomar knot
Can you make a video showing how to clean and do maintenance on your reel?
Have you ever fished canal tide gates on outgoing tide? Fish stack up where the water is flowing out of the gate
Thanks for the knot demo! Thank you!
The Jimmy Houston? This is awesome. Please elaborate.
