  • In this video I will show how I change the front brake pads on a 2005 Honda VTX 1800R.
In this video I used stock OEM pads Honda part number 06455-MBT-612.
    Enjoy!

Great video!!! Just curious….can you use brake grease that you use on cars for this? I do my own car brakes and put some grease on the back of the pads much like you did here with the red stuff (forgot the name). Thanks

I just changed my first mc tire (w modified HF tire changer) after riding 30 years. 😊😎 righthand inside brake pad dislodged and sustained damage. on 1 mile ride home. bike shuddered as i applied brakes. Now Need new pads for certain. Rotor is ok. (Wish i watched this video prior to workin my bike.) Thank You for clearcut instructions. 🏁😀😊😎✔
looks like a gap between lefthand axel spacer and fork that doesnt make sense to me. Can it have lifted up and not set properly even though axel went through and bolt applied.??? No brake noise.
i filed slight ridge from damage. Getting new brakes tomorrow. Bike rolls smoothe and i can let go of handlebar while riding.

Is there room to add a shutoff valve in the fuel line so when removing gastank fuel does not spray everywhere??? Please demonstrate tank removal. 2004 vtx 1800 i have.😬 😊😎

I'm sure one could be added. I will add that video next time the tank comes off. I do have several videos coming up that will require removal of the tank so stay tuned. Thanks for watching.

@@funbro1 i had a friend remove it once. He moved too fast for me to see what he actually was disconecting under tank. Love thorough videos as learning tool. Thank you for all your hard/smart work. 😊😎🏁

This is my Dads old trick but works every time, cut ice cream stick 1/2 inch long, put on line top and bottom, use vice grips and pinching line flat, long pointed vice grips works best

How much travel should front brake lever have? Mine is extremely hard to push and at the end I get about 1 3/4" travel.

    • @funbro1

That seems like an excessive amount os travel, mine is at least 1/2 of that amount.
      Thanks for watching.

Why does nobody ever show how to put the bottom clip in?
