I've made 3 of these for different foliage. One thing that helps is conditioning them in mud baths and let them sit outside. They tend to blend more the rattier they get. I also added raffia grass to mix it up. The stuff is pretty cheap at any craft store.
I too ended up ordering a second hood, solid tan this time and only used brown, black and tan jute to use in late season when all the greenery is gone. Great advice with the mud bath, I'm gonna have to give that a try. Thanks.
