LOL! A "balmy" 38° AND raining. Perfect grilling weather. If you happen to be a polar bear..... Suddenly a whole new concept to explore! Smoking ground beef for use in normally ordinary ground beef dishes. I love it! A hickory smoked Sloppy Joe has to be a real treat!
I’ve smoked a lot of sloppy joes on the pellet grill, but this was friggin’ HANDS DOWN the best I’ve ever made- my fam is crazy about it!! Thanks for posting
Jason, I never even conceived of a ground meat mixture being smoked! What a great idea! Your sloppy Joses are obviously bursting with fabulous flavor! Way to go!!!
Holy Moly these were Good! Putting some smoke flavor on the ground beef takes sloppy Joes to an unprecedented flavor. Try it once like this and you wont go back to making them in a skillet....ever!
I can still remember the first time I had a "sloppy Joe" as a kid back in the late 1960's lol! I've loved them every since, but this is is kicked up big time compared to the Manwich my mom use to buy lol! Gonna give this a whirl, and thanks for sharing Jason!
I agree with you that in the right conditions 38 degrees in Denver can be balmy like it was after our last 2ft snow storm. I was in a hoodie snow blowing it was so warm in the Sun the day after lol. Smoked Sloppy Joe looks delicious but I am going to start off with a basic Sloppy Joe for my first video then the smoke is on the next time. Will it be the Traeger or the Oklahoma Joe's offset...decisions lol! Awesome and delicious looking Sloppy Joe's!
Jason, I tried this on my smoker a couple weeks ago and it was so good!! It is now my go to sloppy joe recipe! I hope to make it to Denver to try your BBQ! Love your videos!! Keep up the good work!
You're welcome. I don't have a smoker yet, but watching your videos encourages me to give it a try. One thing I'd like to see is smoking wild game. I used to hunt up in Craig, I wonder how mule deer and elk taste smoked?
Trying this today, burrito style. Thanks

The only thing that would make that better would be to have a layer of sloppy joe a beef patty in the middle and another layer of sloppy joe mix
Sounds good to me!
Beef broth instead of water.
