- Sky News' US correspondent, James Matthews, spoke exclusively to Iran's ambassador to the UN Amir Saeid Iravani - asking if Iran's attack on Israel was reckless and risked escalation of a wider war.
Mr Iravani said that Israel's promise of a significant response to Saturday's assault was "a threat, not an action".
There was widespread condemnation of Iran's attack at a United Nations Security Council meeting on Sunday afternoon.

The military airport in Negev was the target, 6-8 ballistic missiles hit their target in Negev & guess how many ballistic Iran has in it's arsenal? At least 3000 oh & guess what? They have hypersonic missiles and I think.. Nuclear warheads. It would (should) be in Israel's best interest to not escalate this but it's probably too late. We all know Israel's true colours.. They are a very reckless & a genocidal entity.
@@JDali88887 missles hit their targets, but the biggest L is the fact that Israel's cost of defense was 1.3 billion dollars, which is aprox. Twice as much as Iran's cost of attack. In a sense, they made a dent in the national budget and reduced Israel's air defense munitions by just enough to show the limits of the iron dome.

I'd like to hear your response toward a sworn enemy who funds and directs terror at your shared border. The Israelis took a pre-emptive strike to take out IRGC honchos detailed by the Ayatollah to ferry weapons across from Syria into Lebanon - the same dude was conducting a war meeting in their so-called consular office in Syria.
They keep repeating the number 300 drones and missiles. Only 175 drones were downed. They were basically told they would arrive and had 5hrs notice. Saying they intended great harm is disingenuous. It's not an escalation but a message of intent.

The smug response of the Iranian ambassador made me think that they are close to having a nuclear device and that this was a test to determine how much is needed as a distraction to successfully deliver one in the "next" attack.

If this were to be the case... the response is obvious. They would want to prevent it at all costs. If I were in Iran... The fact is that the IRGC invested so much of it's military funds on offensive weaponry like missiles and drones whereas Israel has invested in offensive and defensive weaponry like the iron dome for example!
