Alex is genuinely been a pleasure to work with. I’m a full time touring hardcore bassist and we’ve collaborated on a design to suit my needs properly. The feedback has been immensely positive with me peers and I’m ordering two more models as back ups. Thank you Alex, your work is incredible!
I ordered one of these and spoke to the CEO of the brand, Alex, one of the nicest dudes I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to. I told him I wanted to get a guitar that would suit me as I'm in a Mastodon cover band and Alex went through the process step by step with me and we ended up crafting the guitar of my dreams. The Royale is my favorite model by far. I HIGHLY reccomend this brand
wow that explorer\empress looks Metal AF
This is the best up and coming brand there is. I own 6 of these and love every single one of them like a child. Do yourself a favor and stop thinking about it, for the price you won’t find a guitar this quality. The owner and company are all solid guys who back their product 100% too.
Grzenia does have USA too but they do them as customs only. I talk to Alex sometimes and apparently they’re working out USA production models soon. I’ve got a USA custom and 2 of their Koreans and they’re great! He’s a super nice guy
Grzenia rules hard.
South Korea certainly manufactures really good quality instruments!
My Ironbird Legacy kicks ass
I love my Grzenia's! Alex is always great to talk with and will just have casual conversations with you. He makes time for people which i think is rare but maybe im wrong. Great quality especially for the price. I own a Royale and a Hussar and theyre my mains
Looks like the upcharge is due to the Nero having Seymour Duncan pickups, compound radius, richlite, and a longer scale length(in the explorer) and full thickness swamp ash over mahogany
I have one and they are one piece bodies and necks as well but richlite alone on a sub $2000 guitar is crazy to me. It’s an awesome guitar! Great build quality. Another upgrade is a roasted maple neck vs regular maple also
Yeah the richlite bothers me a bit. If Im paying that much I expect wood.
@@maykolllopez1585 Richlite is a more boutique and sustainable material than ebony. It provides longevity and you’re about 100% less likely to ever have issues with it. It’s far superior in just about every way
@@maykolllopez1585 to each his own. But richlite is amazing. And I consider it an upgrade.
Both of these look and sound great, cant wait to see the full videos
That Empress is the best unintentional Jesper Stromblad signature ever.
I actually got the last Excalibur from Grzenia which was the unaltered EXP shape. It's trans green burst and it's beautiful. My son has it now as he's an aspiring shredder himself.
Was checking these out myself, does it feel like Jackson compound radius neck? Thanks for featuring these guys :)
Hi Kyle huge fan of your channel, keep up the good work mate . Hello from Manchester, England.
The RD-style looks & sounds really, really good. Had my eye on a Dunable DE R2 (love my DE Cyclops) but the Grzenia looks to be a better value.
The 'not Explorer' head stock looks like lawsuit fuel and that makes me want it even more
p.s. I extra want the single pickup version from their website
Lawsuit fuel, nice!
These look great! That RD style model is SICK, Kyle.
The creepy stare during the intro was epic. 😂❤
That empress is sick. ❤
Kyle, are you gonna get a Soldano Astro 20 in? It seems like a do it ALL option.
Thanks for the content!
headstock is what makes it feel longer ! awesome guitars ! love your vids bro ! keep em coming !
It's a long scale I like the satin and maple neck solid and tight !!!🤟🤟
THANKS!
I did a very amateur review of the standard royale in green a while ago, and it's still one of my favorites. Insanely amazing and Alex is such a nice and genuine guy. I love his brand and I've been there since day one- you should definitely check out more when they release more!
Just got an Empress DABR a couple months ago and I fell in love with it instantly.
Looks badass. I want both!
Hmm really cool guitars and they fit my price ranges too. Will def check them out after I'm done paying some other axes off lol 😂
Really interesting guitars. They sound very good. I like the Empress Nero guitar. If this would have 27 or a longer scale length it would be perfect for me. Could you make a video with these guitars with the lowest tuning that still sound good? I know that they have the Jagerin 27 but the Empress Nero looks just better to me.
I haven't heard of this brand before and now I absolutely want to check it out. I'm subbed and this video is the reason. Cheers, keep it up!
Checked those at Namm a couple years back. So good
Reminds me of a guitar you should see in a Black Metal video. The Empress literally sounds richer and has has more low end character. Not bad.
Love the TGA shirt!
I own 2 of these @grzenia guitars, A Royale and a Hussar Nero. Cant complain these are sick fiddles..\../ neck profile is a Win!.
I wouldn't mind trying out one of those empress models.
Grzenia do the absolute best take on the RD shape I've seen, never heard a bad word about their quality either
@@KaiDown check out Dunable's RD...another great option
😂😂 the intro
Great brand. I purchased a custom shop Royale from them and it's amazing. For a custom it was also reasonably priced, very top notch quality.
that "Hussar" model looks interesting.
Huh, right on man. Yeah that guitar is sick.
What's the riff at 10:00?
Riff at 11.36 reminds me of Blacklist by Exodus. Nice geets 🤘
Okkkk I WOULD Rock that Explorer!!! P.s. I click LIKE on your videos before I even watch them as I KNOW your are going to Impress!! Ur track record is Solid...
Please have a look at the Bass Guitar I built last month 3:) RRvB loaded the video on YT check my page if Ur bored :)
Tell us about the venue Kyle.
Grzenia are great guitars! Too bad they don’t make more lefties
Is that the same factory that produces some of the Schecter guitars?
Don't threaten me with a good time. 0:10
I like both bodies. That said, that R&D looks stupid sick!
Pickup add to the cost SD
Man this was all fun and games until I hit their site and saw the Canadian prices. I'm out, peace. 😅
Have you ever ate at maphistos cafe? I hear its great.
Edit: but does it come with cheese? Because i really want to order the Royale! Oof thats hot!
I thought it was going to be a Hagstrom for a second.
I play a Goldburst Empress in my band Backlash. I have multiple Gibson explorers - Production, limited and custom shop models. The Grzenia is a bad son of a bitch for the money. No Joke.
So badass 👊🏼💀
Well this is a cool brand I didn’t know about. Is it me or is the toan in this video a little hollow compared to normal? Am I just imagining things?
Toan?
@@kyledadams lol sry tone. I’m too goofy to even take my own English seriously.
@@smeemusic lol fair enough
Dude is super busy right now so he’s probably wiped out.
That RD is gorgeous. I get the feeling if you threw the pickups out the other one into the RD Kyle might have a new baby.
Alex is a close friend. Dudes is super dope
That Soaked In Torment riff tho...
It looks like a Hagstrom and a Gibson😮
I was confused. Hi Point is a gun mfg. 😕
Dude I cannot believe that you picked up that royale and did not play ONE SINGLE GHOST RIFF!!! Hahaha joking!
Has anyone ever seen blue or red hardware. Which would look sick on this
Jack White powder coats his hardware
Great, another Explorer guitar to lust over. Thanks... Kyle. 🤨
Quit cutting to the chase and unbox! 😅 🤘
Awesome to see the channel growing. This channel deserves to be way bigger than it is. There are so many channels with 100's of thousands of subscribers that put out pure crap... yet Kyle puts out gold and doesn't get enough support.
Maybe I just spend too much time on UA-cam but these comments *have* to be bots at this point.
First time seeing one of your videos....3 minutes in before I even knew who the company was. I'll stick to Epiphone and swap pickups for an explorer....and I'd just buy a Dunable Cyclops(AMAZING craftsmanship and materials) but a Dunable if you want a Cyclops.....USA made and available through Chicago Music Exchange as well as others. Plus....Dunable is Sasha Dunable from Intronaut.
thanks for the engagement.
This is a pretty useless comment dude, clearly you’ve never played one of these. You’re comparing it to a 3k dollar USA guitar? These guitars cost half of a dunable dude and will sound and play just as good, prove me wrong.
@@txc123 I also compared it to an Epiphone.....how much are those? You can get a brand new Dunable for around $1200 shipped.....used market around 700-800. If you want the top end then sure...... you'll pay $3k. Didn't someone else in here comment that you could get one of these guitars in the video made in the USA? Which would be quite a bit more? Have you played a Dunable? And no I haven't played one of these. I've played and owned many guitars over the last 35 years. I've had mostly guitars less than $1000 new. I've had others that were more expensive.
I had the opportunity to play a Dunable Yeti a few years back. I went to go see Intronaut at a small club in Charlotte NC and talked to Sasha before the show and told him someday I'd like to check one of his guitars out. He invited me into the back room where the rest of the band was hanging out and handed me the Yeti he was playing that night. Absolutely one of the best guitars I've ever played....imo. Workmanship was gorgeous.......my brother has 3 Mayones guitars and I'd put this right with them no problem......and the Mayones are $3000-4500. I asked Sasha how much for one like the one he let me play and said about $1400.
So.......now that I proved you wrong what other questions do you have? Wanna talk amps too? We can do that too? My favorite amps out of ALL the amps I've played and owned over the years......Diezel Hagen(owned), Fryette Deliverance 120(owned), Laney GH50L(owned.....best sleeper amp no one pays attention to), Bogner Unerschall and XTC(played a bunch....friends owned)
So.....perfect example....that Laney costs nowhere near those other amps and hangs with them ALL day long and you can find them for 500-600 used.
I don't need expensive shit......I've tried and liked them and also I've found some inexpensive stuff that punches way over their pricetag. So I'm a big fan of spending less.....but not at the expense of feeling like I've settled. One of favorite guitars..... Epiphone Les Paul Custom with a Lundgren pickup in the bridge.....I'd take that over most new offerings from Gibson.
So.....did I say these guitars were junk? Nope. Did I say don't buy one? Nope. I merely pointed out that for me as someone stumbling across this video that I would've liked to know what the company was a little earlier......I was just about to click off the video when he finally gave the company name and then ended up watching the whole video. After watching the video I gave 2 additional options that I would guess might fall into an apples to apples comparison. Anyway.....do some homework
Bro you’re straight up a dork, I mean it whole heartedly. Grzenia is leagues above, and their USA line blow Dunable out of the water. I’m glad you prefer bad communication and questionable QC from both imports and USA, though!
@@zackarysmith2222 how much are there USA made ones? If they're more than 2500 I'll buy a Mayones. I'm sure I have WAY MORE experience with guitar gear then you.....I would GUARANTEE it. And I don't believe I was being disrespectful. But you wanna start by calling me a dork? Sounds like you've been really wanting to have "Alex" give you a reach around for some time now. Maybe read the other response to someone else I just posted too. I give a decent amount of info.
So Ive never given this thought before,
But no,
I don’t like watching things get unboxed ,
I do want to see what’s in the box,
But I have zero desire to see you open it.
What I find interesting, is that as popular as the format is,
I think most people probably feel the same way.
It’s like a cake with shitty frosting.
Holy SH!T!!!
* Hi Yaw ! That royal is cool. Looking for a bolt on neck non carved heavy body like that. I'm guessing the royal is a set neck? I like bolt on necks because they are easier to repair if it breaks. ~CaCawMint™
How long until Gibson takes them to court lol
Dude, can straight folks play these guitars? Asking for a friend
second guitar is a nightmare, it looks awfull....
lol what?
Kyle trying to be creepy come on I want to see you peek in my window its 3 floors up over 100 degrees outside in South Carolina today plus I have the most vicious guard dogs Chihuahuas 🤣
Lefties please do not even bother to watch this.
A little steep in price for a brand that has not been heard of
If you compare their specs to what’s on the market now it’s actually really fair. You not knowing about them doesn’t really devalue their product or what they offer. I have a few and they’re great! They were at NAMM one year and it’s all good stuff
It's actually a really good deal not just on paper, but knowing it was built in a prestigious factory as well. You also have to keep in mind that this dude see's knew guitars ALL the time. He probably has high expectations/standards.
Nothing but junk!!!
Harmonics wow !
And when you break the neck off you can try to play hockey with this thing. Is it not wonderful? But sounds much better than the first one.
