    I have dlivrd, my first order was $20. Avg is about $22/order. Once i had an $86 order. Yes, $20 is a low payout for catering. Dlivrd wont take orders without a tip.

    • @YourDriverMike
      @YourDriverMike  2 місяці тому +5

      Averaging $22/order (while not their huge $35/order claim) is still solid assuming the mileage is ~$2. For example my numbers have been huge on DeliverThat, like $3 a mile or more. I've only done a few shifts but looking forward to more.

      @@YourDriverMike it depends. Yes looking just at numbers, youd be correct. BUT a lot of catering orders go to doctors offices, hospitals where you cant find parking, then take numerous trips in/out of the facility to brong everything in whoch takes time, then time to set up. Its not a simple “drop off” like doordash etc. So even $22/hr may be good, depending where the catering droppff is, how many floors up do ya have to go, how many trips back/forth to car do ya need to do; all adds up. Ya got to pay attention to how much the cateriing food order is too.

    Anything over 10miles is a no. Also most Auntie Anne's locations are in malls so you have to factor in amount of time walking through to them parking, and other delays because of long lines at the mall as well

    The app has a pretty bad rating. The reviews (3.1) are mostly complaining about them stealing your tips, and how the app functions. Last time I didn't take the reviews seriously I got burned so a hard pass for me!

    In the Las Vegas area the most catering orders I have done in a single day was 4. Dlivrd does pay well if you have a vehicle large enough to handle orders over $1000, the highest single delivery I have done paid about $300. Right now I am on about 5 different catering apps and I try to take at least 1 catering order a day. The problem Ellen will have is the orders are pretty hard to get in her area of the city. Most of the orders tend to be about a half hour drive from her area.

      I think it depends on location. If you're in a larger city you'll see pretty good orders. You also won't see many orders when first start out, they need to see if you can handle larger orders. You also have to try to reach elite or emerald status before you really start seeing more volume. It's definitely a filler app. DeliverThat has more volume, but you also have to work towards becoming an preferred driver than an elite driver.

    Delivered works this way the more you take the more they give you you start off we’re getting like one a day and then they feed you to a day and then you can get more the more the more confident they are that you can do the work the more the feature And then there’s also where are you get on Emerald which is the top-tier you get access early access to deliveries you can write wrote your own deliveries once you get on that

    For me they range from $20 to $35. They are usually only a few miles but it takes me 6+ miles to get to the power strip to pickup. All good so far, BUT, from home door back to home door it's always an hour or a tad over. The percentage of food total is horrible. I now only accept them for $30+. I did have one that was $90, but that one because the actual customer was NOT a pharma rep (they are limited on how much they can tip), it was by the actual office and was an $850 order. Hope it helps.

No biggie.

    I can tell you as a medical sales rep there's nothing worse than when you've been asked to host a lunch you place the order at least a week in advance..
    You wanted to arrive a half hour before you need it and every single time it arrives 2 hours late!!
    That's why that woman had attitude. She just had to endure everyone in the room glaring at her because they were ready and they're starving and they want to eat lunch and it wasn't there..
    So walk in their confidence ask them if they need help and keep it moving.

    • @jeffw1267

      This may seem silly... but why not pick up the order yourself? Even better: get something you can pick up the day before, then heat it up in your own oven and bring it to the office early.
      You're in sales, and to look professional you have to have your stuff together.

    • @TheKarnophage
      @TheKarnophage 2 місяці тому +4

      The Catering apps do not want the driver to arrive at the pick-up no more then 10 minutes early. It is same for the dropping off to the customer. How the restaurant handles the order is out of the drivers control. I have had to wait up to 45 minutes while the restaurants finishes up a catering order.

      @@YourDriverMike $35 is too high, $27 average is what I make with dlivrd knowing that exceptions occur and got one day a $118 (delivering and setting up) for less than 30min active time from Noodles and Company to a Mercy Hospital.. the majority of orders I get are in the $20s for a few miles! It’s always better than doordash/ ubereats..

      20% orders: $30s
      15% orders: $40s
      5% orders: > $40..
      Now if you always cherry pick it’s clear that you can have 100% > $40, but I love the interactions with professionals, they let you know where to set up and leave you alone..
