    One problem for people at a more beginner level is that it's very difficult to find stuff to listen to that's both at least somewhat comprehensible, _and_ interesting. And nothing is interesting that you can only understand 10% of.

    Gracias como siempre por las sugerencias. La próxima semana voy a México por dos meses. …mi oportunidad para la inmersión. Es que, muchas veces cuando hablo español, ellos responden en inglés. Una meta mío es que me responden en español. Jaja. Por cierto, ese peinado té queda muy bien. O sea, te ves hermosa.

    Hey I want to ask something plz reply..
    ¿Está bien usted? is this sentence correct?

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 роки тому

      ¡Hola! Thanks for your question. It's more common to hear it like this: ¿está usted bien? But usually this will sound quite formal and even serious. "¿Estás bien?" or, in countries where they use "usted" informally, "¿está bien?" would be more common. I hope this helps! =)=)=)

      @@MauraSpringSpanish Thank you very much for replying.☺Actually I kind of don't understand the placement of subject in Spanish sentence structure.. So it would be great if u could just make a video on subject placement especially in interrogative sentences🙂.

    Why is it "Lo pienso y te digo" and not "Lo pensaré y te deciré" as we are speaking about the future?

    • @MauraSpringSpanish
      @MauraSpringSpanish 2 роки тому +3

      Well, in gramatical terms you should use the Spanish present indicative (pienso, digo) when you're referring to a non-specific time. We do this quite a lot. For example you could hear things like: ahora te digo, en un rato te digo. Or even with other verbs like: ya te llamo, ahora te cuento. All of these examples refer to a near future but they use the present indicative tense. Kind of like what happens in English with programmed schedules: the movies STARTS at 8pm (la película EMPIEZA a las 8pm). I hope this helps! =)=)=)

      Is it incorrect to say 'lo pensaré', then? (without a specific time in the future in mind)

    Actually, we didn't really learn like you've described...
    For the first year, we just listened... the second year, we repeated mostly thingz related to what we needed... Not much more than this. Even the third year, the level of complication is minimal. Having worked with five year olds for many years, I can also tell you that most are still learning basics...
    So, I think you might want to adjust your suggestions and go with the focus on input. This is clearly how we learned our first language... Telling languages learners that they need to USE the language that they're learning right away is setting them up for failure or discouragement at the least...
    Just LISTEN is probably a much better suggestion!

      As adults we already have an understanding of how a language works. We are not starting anew as as infants. I often argue with people that say we should learn Spanish as we learned English as children that I have no interest in speaking Spanish as a three year old. Most adults can learn useful Spanish, Spanish that can be USED for specific applications, in a matter of hours. How to order a meal, hire at taxi, buy a bus ticket, that sort of thing. I can't teach a three year old how to hail and hire a taxi, but I can teach a willing adult how to do it in a matter of minutes.

    Hello, 🌻🌼🌷May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, and His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Also, can I share Isaiah 53:5 " But HE was WOUNDED For our TRANSGRESSIONS, he was BRUISED for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His STRIPES we are HEALED."
    God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin.Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
