@@Not_aHorse thank you for saying what needs to be said. HK fans are kinda insufferable, they're also toxic to anything that even remotely looks like it
After a bit of digging, I found out that the artificer slugcat can't ascend in karma, and that in order to to get past karma gates, it needs a creautre that can ascend, usually being a corpseof said creature. This is why he starts out with really bad reputation for all creatures with a reputation system, because creatures with a reputation system are smart enough to gain karma and he needs to kill one and uses its body to get past a karma gate. Luckily, the artificer can travel with other slugcats to bypass karma gates. I have a slight theory as to why the artificer can't ascend, namely, the little red thing that travels with him. I think that the little red thing is similar to a mark of communication, however, instead of allowing your brain to ascend it such a way that you can understand higher beings, it gives the artificer an affinity for bombs, allowing him to be immune to explosive forces, and granting him the ability to produce explosive weaponry. This however, comes at a cost, for he loses to ability to ascend, and it is now entirely binded in the primal struggle that locks him in the cycle, preventing access from karma entirely. This is just heavy speculation from bits and pieces I've gathered, but I believe that it is a plausible theory. Edit : spelling
Artificer looks like a mad slugcat. Probably no one likes him in that world. And at the end you make a huge bomb that you drop into the Void and reveal that it was all fake and all creatures that entered it were getting slowly consumed while living in illusion. So in the end Artificer was not mad, he was the only genius in the world.
@@aatroxtheworldender933 Spoiler: first off, the artificer is a she due to the cutscene given in the story showing WHY the Artificer hates Scavengers (Scavengers killed her young) plus Five-pebbles calls her a female title. Second off: The Artificer has low Karma and cannot ascend due to being bound to the mortal plane with the need for revenge against the Scavengers. A being cannot ascend if it’s weighed down with mortal obsessions. Thirdly: the little robot has nothing to do with the low Karma, it’s actually a Citizen ID drone that’s bound to Five-Pebbles sky city, thus making you a citizen and Five-pebbles with acknowledge you as such and being nice to you.

I got a theory for saint's timeline. (Spoiler alert for the end game??) Saint may be the last slugcat at the rain world time line. This is when 5P is dead perhaps for a while. Making all of 5Ps rain world a cold world that is a desperate need for food in the time line. Saint is most likely a evolved slugcat who is best made for the cold, however, saint cannot be outside for long, as you see in the trailer, saints colors seem more pale and white in some scenes. Sant may also be the closest slugcat to the karma system with well reputation, saint may have a different ending comparing to the other slugcats. Something about getting a 10 karma as saint may do something. In terms of other creatures in saints time, they may have either gone extinct or adapted to the cold, you may see orange lizards in outskirts is because there are some indoor rooms that gives off the last remaining heat. Not only that, you see in the newest trailer that instead of rain, there is a icey, snowy storm that rains down heavier than the rain 5P gives. Most likely more floods, more cold watered areas that if you fall into it, you may freeze to death.
If I recall correctly, I remember coming by something for Saint while digging into this update. Apparently, the Saint's balance very fragile, what this means in game is that one death resets all of your karma. Just thought it might be interesting
My theory for the static shaded is that 5P is gone and his factory is highly electrical now and is shinning throughout Shaded Issues: Spiders are slowly getting used to the light so no instant aoe kill
The Artificer can explode on command, well to air jump in the original mod if I remember right. Explosions send objects away, the "parry" appears to be doing just that. I'm not sure where you get all the claims you make for "Difficulty" setting when it lists speeds, which makes sense in Rainworld. The game being slower means it is easier to line up throws or dodge spears. Fast makes it incredibly difficult. This sounds minor but remember with MULTIPLE PEOPLE this is very important for not blocking throws or saving someone captured by X.
I have a theory for the karmectables, since you lose the ability to passage after using all the achievements, you might be able to find these to restore that passage, so if you only had wanderer achievement, used the passage, then find that symbol you can passage using the wanderer achievement again
