Exactly what I have been looking for, thanks very much for creating this outstanding content! I lived in Little Rock from 1996 - 2005. When I was in Arkansas I knew someone who was learning to fly and he was taking lessons in the Pine Bluff area. The Pine Bluff airport looks like a great place to practice!

Great video as always. I think this is the best overall flight instructional video for learning to fly in a simulator and for the real world, primarily due to the briefing instructions that are easy to understand and then the actual demonstration in the simulator. The information provided seems to go along with the typical POH for a C-172, subject to the specific model being flown. The instructions for both the standard 6-pack and the G-1000 in one comparison video is very beneficial. The lesson was taught in real world format as a typical flight instructor would do, except from my experience, in the real world too little time is spent going over the functions of each gauge and instrument. In a fast-paced world of getting from the discovery flight to the final check ride, I believe many new private pilots have learned to fly and thus are able to pass the check ride, but probably are not as well versed and knowledgeable about each and every instrument being used. Very comprehensive and yet simple to understand due to the instruction format. Thank you and please continue with your flight instructional videos!

Glad you continue to enjoy the content, D Hill - and thank you again for your kind words.
The method I use is typically how instruction should be conducted in the real world - explanation, demonstration, and practice on the part of the student - though I do try to ground my instruction in the fact that flying MSFS is not exactly the same is flying in real life, and giving everyone the "gouge" on how it works in MSFS.

Would you consider doing a checkout series on the grand caravan? Granted, it’s an advanced aircraft (turboprop) but your incredible ability to teach would make it an invaluable and tremendously fun series for us to graduate from the piston cessna to the “big boys”. Cheers!

@apipovic87, Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for wathcing!
I eventually plan to do a checkout series on most of the aircraft in MSFS, including the Grand Caravan. I'll probably work my way through the piston singles and light twins first - so it may take me a little while to get there. (We'll also have to see when MSFS 2024 comes out, and what aircraft types they include and discard with that iteration.)

@Alpha Hotel Flight Simulator Training, thanks for your videos and sharing your knowledge, I'm really enjoying watching them. I was wondering if you were interested in giving some online coaching every now and then?

Thanks Julian - glad you are enjoying the content, and thanks for watching!
Hadn't really contemplated doing coaching/instruction online. Don't really know how I would do it, or if I would have time - but it's something to think about.

      Thank you for your reply.
I can help with the "How" 🙂 Many are using "Your Control", a free app that can be downloaded from GitHub (github.com/Sequal32/yourcontrols).
Your Control is an app that allows you to shared your cockpit in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. In addition, we can have a zoom or equivalent session on a secondary device where we can share our screens - e.g. a chart.
Please do let me know if you are interested, in the meantime I will continue to watch your UA-cam tutorials 🙂

Hi, perfect video for me, as I'm moving on from C152 to C172 in real life just next week, with 100FH logged.
One question: in the G1000 would you leave the standby battery armed after you have turned on the master and avionics?

Do you have any tutorials with mixture rich at high altitude airports ? Can you also do a tutorial on Bonanza using the propeller and mixture tutorial ? Thank you !

      @AlphaHotelFlightSimulation  2 роки тому +1

Calinutza33 - I'm actually working on tutorial for mountain flying that I plan to release next week. It will include a segment on leaning the mixture at high altitude airports.
I plan to do a segment on using variable pitch/constant speed propellers, and a checkout video for the Bonanza, but I don't know what the time frame on that will be yet.
      Thanks for watching!

Hello, I've been looking for basic manuvering and take off and landings and circuits for a piper 28 warrior II but can't seem to find anything, wondering if you can do a slide or a video on it. Thanks 👍

I don't currently own any of the PA-28 mods, do I don't currently have any plans to do a video on that. I will keep it on the radar, though.
