Mannn so many videos coming out I’m watching this like a Netflix series. Keep them coming Joe and Lori ❤
You are so very awesome! We have more coming.
These changes actually look really good.
Yes, very nicely done for the 2025 model year. I like how they replaced the tablet-style center display.
@@LouieGMDesign I’d say the same it was ugly before but now it seems better.
I don’t understand why people dislike the front. It grew on me quickly.
Looks damn good. That rear end is beautiful. Also, I'm really happy that we're still getting a V6 as well.
For $80K Maybe it's better to explore other brands
Thank you for all of your segments. Whenever I need to know about vehicles, i tune to your segments for all the information I need. Thanks. Greetings from Reading Pennsylvania
Lovin the front grille …..and the rear end. Love a nice rear end Joe. Happy it has some Twinkie holders 👍
I like the way you put that Tom!
Car looks sweet. Wanted to upgrade from my 2013 Explorer but the 2020 didn’t do it for me. The exterior and interior styling of the 2020 Explorer redesign didn’t convince me.
I would prefer a Hershey Kiss holder, but hey, gotta be flexible I suppose!
I love it (I’m more in the Active or ST line bracket), but one change I don’t like is the removal of second row floor storage/cupholder deal. My 2020 had it and it was between the two second row captains chairs and was great for road trips for rear passengers for their food and drinks and even a purse, their phones etc. I even liked using it when getting takeout as it was a great place to put the food so it didn’t move around while driving back home.
Joe and Lori and Steve keep up the good work real true and I love the video 👍
You got it my friend!
Appreciate if by the end of your videos you can highlight the key differences with other trim levels so we can have insights on which’s version to target.
I really like this trim, it reminds me and gives me hints of the 2016 explorer my favorite look of the explorer
I just purchased the 2024 Ford Explorer ST in color white.
Joe that would be Happy Gilmore miss you chubbs Peterson! Great review as always you’re the man!
You know your stuff Luke! Thanks for letting me share it with you!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Raiti ... looks like a chromed-up & gussied-up Explorer ST w/21" Street Pack (no red calipers), but with a way better interior.
Not to mention, just picked up an ST a few weeks back, as spec'd ... for the Mrs., of course. 😉 '16 SHO still a sleeper.
A hard badge in the middle of your back - brilliant.
Rim rant: I remember when 15 inch rims looked large, then 17 was insane and really filled the wheel wells. Then the sizes just climbed and really looked good. It was jewellery for cars. Now, manufacturers provide 21 inch rims but the problem is, they don't look that large. Why you might ask? Because they keep increasing the size of the wheel wells! WTF! JUST STOP!! What's the point of increasing the wheel size if you're just going to increase the wheel well size?? I do understand that it comes down to suspension and ride quality but it just looks horrible. IMO.
This is such a great statement.
These 21inch rims needed to be 24inch no lie
They dont stand out at all they look so small
You don't live where there's snow and ice do you - wheel wells get packed with that crap and causes headaches as it is - I agree we don't need 20's 21's and 22's
This looks fantastic. Are there options for the interior color? That light interior might be difficult to keep clean.
I gotta admit that Explorer looks amazing
I am so glad that you ate liking this one.
Amazing review Joe.
This thing looks amazing
Happy Gilmore (3/10) Best Movie Quote - Just Tap It In (1996)Fantastic job!
Yeah those wheel arches need to be painted if thats a platinum trim
I really like the upgrades 🔥 Ive driven a few fords and they definitely make fun to drive vehicles.
Love the front and interior plus the features
Awesome cars-all of them...! Happy Valentine's Day!!💖🤗🚙
Nice suv 👌🏾 love that Interior 🤍
They really brought in some higher materials.
15:09 I love the Explorer and the upgrades. Still have my 2013. But there’s been A LOT of issues with the Explorer line recently. The question is will it be more reliable? Or will you still have to fight for an appointment to get a factory problem fixed?
Having a head up display has been a must for me ever since I had my XSE Camry back in 2015.
The Nautilus doesn't have a head up display, but it does have a 48' screen. I am deciding between the 24 Nautilus. The 24 TX 500h FSPORT Lexus & the 24 Grand Highlander. or dare I say waiting for the newly designed 2025 Highlander Hybrid Sport.
Thanx for doing all the explorer trims joe and for the great came work lori👍👏
Nice car love the interior….with 60k…we have a lot of choice…the MDX , infinity Q60, BMW X5 and the new one Genesis GV70?
Once again I enjoyed your review. However, I'm gonna have to zonk where you said NY has better pizza than Chicago. 🙂
LOL you are awesome!
Comparing New York and Chicago Pizza is like comparing Apples to Oranges. They are different but both good.
Love everything about it except no heads up display. 😫
Yeah, That's a ZONK!! But Ford has this priced right vs the New Mazda CX-90 /CX-70 models. Premium Plus Turbo S is about $61K vs the new Explorer Platinum at $56K (although Joe said a key word....Starting at $56K!!).
Nice vehicle.....they will sell. Thanks Joe and Lori.
The Platinum trim is very nice but I do not like the moon roof or the rotary dial shifter. Glass roof allows a great amount of heat into the vehicle. I love the handle shifter much better than rotary dial. Everyone has their preferences.
Thank you for the review.
Joe is hilarious! Love watching his videos.
I actually like the new refresh. It does remind me of the Chrysler pacifica minivan. It had a "cute" front face before they refreshed it with a more aggressive design. Currently looking at the Active trim level.
I can't wait to bring that trim to you.
I really like what they did with the new infotainment system and reminds me of the Pivi Pro on my Land Rover Defender. I have the 2023 Explorer XLT and the infotainment is just awful and looks like something from the early 2000's. Really happy to see they finally updated it!
I still drive my 2002 Ford Expl...love it.
Question? I have 3 Cane Corsos, do the center seats lower as well?
Yes of course & can't wait to test drive this.
Oh I bet you can’t
I have a 21 Platinum. Love it. Very disappointed they’re not offering this Platinum in blue..
Why remove the rear wiper? That’s needed on vehicles with a more vertical window.
lmaoo “just a tap. lil tappy tap!” happy gilmore is the name of the movie! i want my free twinkie😂😂😂😂😂😂
Always look forward to these! Does Ford still have the hands-free liftgate feature where you just kick your foot under the rear bumper to open the door? I LOVED that feature on my Ford Escape when I had one.
Joe, I understand why you don't like the rear wiper, but if they did tuck it under the rear spoiler to clean things up, wouldn't it be a real pain to change out the wiper once it wears out? Your videos are great, but every time I hear you talk about that rear wiper, I can't help to think about how much harder it would be to change the wiper blade.
I fully agree with you about the rear wiper. I love mine and it nice when I lift it up, the dust falls off the blade.Joe has a hang up about this. Really tired of Joe talking about the Twinkies. How about Little Debbie's? I love my 2020 Interior better than the 2025, I wish Ford would also come back with the Dealer Car Brochures?
lmfaooo yo who is this guy🤣 ima deff subscribe. he had me dying with the twinkies and big chews. respect my brother. keep up the good work💯
Does it have massaging front seats like the 2021 platinum version??
Joe where does this rank in terms of mid size SUVs it's so hard to choose one now
They need to put back the foot opening of the rear gate and the power fold and flip of the second row seats like the 2021 platum had
Thanks
Dale

New thoughts about the redesign of the infotainment system?
I really like it! Much improved for sure!
One wonders how to use both an abacus and back scratcher at the same time.
I may have to trade in my 2022 Explorer for this bad boy! I like how the touchscreen is much much better! you can play games on it its so good
Oh wow that is awesome!
I actually had a nice Pearl Explorer with the black appearance package, it got totaled early January 😢
I am so sorry to hear about that. I hope you are okay.
@@RaitisRides Appreciate that, Joe. The man upstairs was definitely with me.
I dislike contrast stitching imo. I find it a bit tacky especially if its red
My fave thing about ford is that they thought of what the people want and I love the phone shelves in all their cars and SUVS
Amazing car!
Thanks for letting me bring it to you
Perfect 👍🏿.
I am so glad that you think so.
I absolutely love those flashy wheels because they said they had to use the dark alloy wheel which we do not want it. All because we chose the platinum. Why is that?
Hermosa SUV!!
Even as a Ford fan as of late, I have to say I'm very surprised at how good this interior is. Ford's really taking it up a notch.
I would never think of buying a Ford but this Ford SUV has changed and stolen my heart.❤❤❤
RIP Chubs! Happy Gilmore reference!
So sad they’re not putting these headlights on all trims
Looks beautiful..❤❤
I like the black wheel arches.
Just Tap - it’s the Happy Gilmour scene.
But a quick question to Lory lady: how do you control & survive on Joe’s jokes?
Great team you are @Raiti’s Ride❤
The change is nice. The no HUD is definitely a big miss on ford’s end. But, overall it’s nice. Appreciate the videos
What is HUD?
ON POINT Q/A MAZDA CX90 VS FORD EXLORER AWD V6 PLATINUM TRIM
Hey Raitis, when will you take a trip to review the Ford Everest?
I think Ford did the best restyling of the front on the Platinum. None of the interior colors really appeal to me. I wish there was a black option.
That would look really good.
@@RaitisRides I had a 16 Platinum with the black Nirvana leather interior and it was very nice. I had ordered one in late 2015 with white interior because black was job #2. I changed my mind before it arrived and ordered an Expedition Platinum instead. I didn't like it too well, mostly because the trans would gear hunt like crazy going up steep grades. Later in the year, I was looking around at my Ford dealer and they had an Explorer Platinum in the showroom with black interior. 3 hours later, I was on my way home with it. Turned out to be completely trouble free. I'd definitely buy another.
I hate the gloss center console. Keys, Stanley's, and cell phones will scratch it to hell.
Nice review.
I know right! Many automakers have that just for aesthetics but they aren’t too practical. Matte finish all the way
Didn't show us how he fits in the 3rd row 😂 This model's front grille is ripped from the Ford Territory made in China. Looks better than the previous one.
Love this guy
A much better car than the 2020-23's. Excited to see one in person and see how they hold up!
I wish Ford used the same digital display as the Mustang Dark Horse.
I don't believe having larger rims (21") is an advantage. When you get larger rims you get smaller sidewall tires which means your more susceptible to damaging rims if you hot a pothole or something else in the road, compared to 18' or even 20" rims that will give a Little more rubber to the road surface. What do you think ?
I saw this design way back in 2022 as a 2023 Chinese model. When the honeycomb grill has the full led strip. And what's missing is the E X P L O R E badge on the front..
Holy smokes, it looks like the China division/designers pulled out all the stops with this iteration, and that of the Lincoln Nautilus and Aviator!! The exterior design rivals any of the foreign deals. Thankfully we’ll see the Lincolns stateside……..
I have four issues
1. Interior still too bland color wise. The browns are showing up and look good.
2. Ecoboost engines love to pop the coil packs and takes a while for the code to clear.
3. How much did Ford improve the 10 speed? They had problems earlier.
4. Put a light bar on it and you can pull people over.
The movie: Happy Gilmore
Not concerned about Fix Or Repair Daily (FORD) quality control issues?
Nice job. But, looked at Acura MDX yesterday which blows this away...
Joe I would love to see the cop version, of this brand new explorer
I have a 2020 Explorer ST. 11 recalls and counting, Multiple problems with cameras and sensors. Ford never gives a loaner when in for repair. I just replaced my 08 Escape hybrid with a 2024 CX-90 and saved $20k. Mazda always provides a free loaner, even when it was my fault.
It looks really good, and I would get one, it just needs one thing…a Toyota engine.
I have a 2020 Platinum with a Sandstone interior which I love. The only two big differences I see is the 13" H display and the Fog lights on the 2025. I do wish Ford put under the hood like the Lincoln self holding Hood struts/shocks instead of the manual holding prop level rod. Also no under the hood light like cars use to have. I would advise anyone to buy the Ford Extended Warranty with a 0 delectable. In less than 4 years I have had my Explorer I have replaced (4) batteries. (3) under warranty. Not happy about that with Ford. The cars uses a lot of electrical. As far as recalls. It's a way of life with any Vehicles. Some more that other's. I do love my 2020 Metallic Blue Platinum very much, As my car just turned 48,000 miles I will be buying (4) new tires. I was told to only expect 40,000 mile on the Firellis it came with. Doing well.
Fantastic
The title has me rolling.😂💀
Would you recommend this for going to and from jail?
Happy Gilmore!!
You nailed it!
SO IS A CHIRRO DIFFERENT FROM A CHURRO? i just got some Siete Churro chips.
Love your sense of humor!!! Not a fan of the light two tone colors on the door panels. Seems like it’d be a nightmare to keep clean, especially if you have kids. 😊
I do really like the Explorer but it has been so full of issues lately that I think I won’t buy one. Hope Ford can work to fix the common problems of previous models.
Funny how this interior is nicer than anything Lincoln had 7-8 years ago lol Ford and interiors in general have come a long way I guess for 56 g’s it better look that good
This is so very true but just wait for what Lincoln is coming with.
Lincoln continental is beautiful inside.
the 2025 Ford Explorer Platinum is really nice. But does it handle as good as the ST
All the black plastic panels should be painted white as well and it would look even better.
Alright Joe let’s see if this Ford Explorer will deliver
Let’s do this
Now this right here, I really am shocked. The last Gen interior was really lackluster and left so much to desire…but now I see ford hit the nail on the update throughout.
“I just hope the reliability is on par,”
The grille is nice
Back to the future. I want my Twinkie now.
Spare tire rant: You had the trunk open, how much trouble would it have been to explain the spare tire mythology rather than packaged junk food. I really like your reviews, but in the age of disappearing spare tires, we need that information.
Do any vehicles these days come with a spare tire??
forgot to mention hands free liftgate close, 360 camera view, and heated steering wheel
