Roy, one second starts an attack in the middle of the field, the next second he is running into spaces in the box to shoot. I miss these little things so much in our attack these days.
I know. He broke his legs at the start of this season and still came back with 7 goals 6 in PL, 1 in CL QF vs Porto. So in this season he won PL which gave him back-to-back PL's, scored 2 vs teams in the top4 (away to Arsenal & Liverpool) he won the FAcup the year before that. The likes of Berbaflop didn't achieve any of that in his whole ManUtd career. Only 1 goal vs a top5 team in domestic football in 4 years, no back-to-back PL's, no CL knockout goals and if we fast forward just 2 years after 1997 Cole wins CL which Berba didn't do either. Further to that, winning THE treble PL FAcup CL when Berba only won PL with LeagueCup once and worse than that the other 3 seasons including trophyless final season.
He is.... verily underrated. and I hate the word underrated. Often overlooked by England but scoring goals wherever he goes. Has incredible flexibility. Could run with the ball, dribble, score overhead/bicycle kicks... and he's one of the top scorers ever in the Premier League.
@@FootkerSnooballErm pretty sure Berbatov got a hatrick against Liverpool. Sure, Cole had a far better career at Man Utd than Berbatov, but that's only because Cole's spell was fantastic. Why all the hate for Berbatov? He didn't reach the heights people hoped for, but he still did well. Certainly not a flop
@@carrauntoohil86 I specifically said "Top5 team" in domestic major competitions. I'm judging the teams on where they finished in the season in question and Liverpool finished 6th in 2010/11 when he scored hatrick at home vs them and even if you think that's a bit pedantic they averaged 7th for 4 years from 2009/10 to the season after Berba left 2012/13 (7th, 6th, 8th, 7th) some Berba fans pretend he won ManUtd the league in 2010/11 (by scoring in 11 games in all major competitions?? And this was his best season at ManUtd!) and I would've preferred him doing better the season earlier because that year could've been the record 4 in a row. He only needed to score 1 in 2009/10 vs Chelsea or the following week at EwoodPark but he cost us the record 4 PL's in a row that year (and many other trophies to be honest) he could've scored 50+ the next season it wasn't really going to make up for it but he still was never important for ManUtd. ManUtd would've sold him by the end of 2009/10 if a big club was willing to pay anything like what ManUtd had paid and even Spurs didn't need him by then. He was also the reason Tevez left and ManUtd would've been so much more successful specifically from 2009/10 to 2011/12 had they had Tevez instead of Berbatov and signing him was the gradual start of a great team going downhill and there were many horrible moments in the seasons Berbatov played for ManUtd. Having to see Chelsea win 3 FAcups with ManCity getting the other 1 (Berbatov singlehandedly cost ManUtd at least 2 FAcups with his lame pen vs Everton FAcup SF 2009 and in the virtual final 2011 vs City as winner beats Stoke ManUtd had great record vs Stoke were the only team who'd beaten them every time since they joined PL a few years earlier with massive goal difference almost like ManUtd's record vs Wigan, he had missed sitters at 0-0). He was really bad at coming on as sub if your team need a goal but not good enough starter. He did poorly in ChampionsLeague only scoring in THREE CL games in his ManUtd career (ZERO in knockouts) and went 3 whole years without a CL goal from late 2008 to late 2011. Played the full game vs 3rd tier Leeds 2009/10 FAcup at OldTrafford 0-1 defeat, ManUtd had 2 horrible PL nothing margin title losses I've already spoken about 09/10 lost by 1 point to Chelsea with bad decisions against us but he still had a chance to score against them at 1-2 down for 2-2 which would've kept ManUtd above Chelsea that was bad enough but the ManCity one 2011/12 another one because ManUtd took zero pts off the eventual winner that's why I point out his lack of goals vs top teams because it costs your team title's and not only the manner but it started City off they almost didn't win which would've damaged them mentally and possibly wouldn't have quite had the dominance they have now and Berbatov just didn't do enough in these seasons and it's also an extra insult that he still seems to think he's some kind of ManUtd legend and arrogant about himself when I personally thought he was crap at ManUtd. I know he had talant but that makes his failures even worse and he cost many ManUtd legends an FAcup winners medal before they retired and the likes of RioFerdinand obviously not that as bluntly as me but still publicly says similar that he could've done much better. Plus I thought he would be a good fit at ManUtd when he was about to sign I thought he could be like Cantona and he only is with his arrogance but Cantona actually is/was a big game player and ManUtd legend. Also Chelsea were no where near as consistent as ManUtd in Berbatov's ManUtd years and 2009/10 to 2011/12 Chelsea accumulated 33pts less than ManUtd which wasn't the slightest bit flattering and yet in that same period Chelsea still win no less PL title's than ManUtd, but Chelsea also win 2 FAcups to zero and a ChampionsLeague title to zero when again ManUtd had better CL record and performances. Also if Berba was a success at ManUtd people wouldn't always have to mention the hatrick vs weak Liverpool & 5 vs Blackburn. Look at someone like AndyCole, he did all that stuff 5 in 1 game, hatricks (including away hatricks which is much harder) but you could think of loads of other things you could bring up about him you don't have to talk about his 5 in 1 game etc...you talk about a variety of things you have a choice with successful ManUtd players where as you don't when trying to think of Berba's highlights.
Unfortunately, United’s victory was marred by controversy between Ian Wright and Peter Schmeichel. Wright lunged dangerously at Schmeichel and was already on a booking, was extremely lucky not to get sent off. After the final whistle, the pair had skirmishes and had to be restrained by the police. The Great Dane was furious about the challenge from Wright and the Arsenal forward accused Schmeichel of making a racist comment at him in reference to the corresponding fixture at United 1-0 win at OT.
Everything is iconic about it... the kits, the players, the stadium... United fan and i hated them with passion but looking back they were the right reasons. All feels plastic now. Cunty move by Wright though. Great player, mind.
Highbury was a great football stadium. In amongst the terraced houses, fans right on top of the pitch. One stand is a grade 2 listed building after all which is why it still stands today. The Emirates is soulless by comparison. United deserved winners on this night, even if they had to ride a little bit of a storm second half
I thought you English fans celebrated such actions calling it manly. Or are you a Manchester United fan? If you are I'm sure if it was Roy Keane doing it on Lukic you'd be celebrating it🤷🏻♂️ hypocrisy
Rpy Keane is better then Messi and Ronaldo in terms of what he brings to the team. But only a football man will understand that. He is 11 men on the pitch and of messi and Ronaldos are a bonus but they are just a luxury yiu can't win games with 11 of them but you can wih 11 Keane's and hes playing with the worst haircut known to men that is quite unbelievably fashion now!!
Just shows that ian Wright is a racist! He is always talking about racism whilst being the biggest racism in punditry ive seen. There is footage where he is really very racist towards roy Keane, just coz Keane has a different accent! Should be taken off air and put in prison for that tackle!
This is why Wright never played for England as he was to emotional and could ne er do it on big games but he tried to blame racism 😂😂 when everyone loved him but if someone doesn't its racism 😂 what a clown and keane knows it
God yeah! Shouting and being determined doesn't make you a great player, he was called donkey for a reason. Keane could play and also inspire the other players, not so much here as young

Remember watching this one live on Sky, loved Ole as a striker back then. Came in as a total unknown and was superb from the off
So lucky and privileged to be a Manchester United supporter. ❤ #GlazersOutNow
Loved backing Andy Cole, he ended up winning it all.

Glory days. Everyone is so young 😢
What a finisher Ole was.
Cole?
I believe this was a mid week game. In the good old days of watching in teletext lol and then match of the day later.

Keane in his drinking rock n roll styke days!

Wright did that because Schmiechal racially abused him in the same game.

Ian Wright ,what a baby

How was it onside?, the player who was off touches it before Wright rifles home.
