Igor Roma schreef speciaal voor de pianobroers Lucas en Arthur Jussen de unieke 'Amsterdam Medley', vol bekende Amsterdamse melodieën. De toppianisten spelen de medley tijdens de 37e editie van het Prinsengrachtconcert, gevolgd door de fameuze uitsmijter 'Aan de Amsterdamse grachten' met sopraan Laetitia Gerards en violist Daniel Lozakovich.

THIS WAS ABSOLUTE PURE BEAUTY...to watch, to listen, and to experience. I happened to be staying at the Pulitzer when this occurred and the concert was enchanting and heartfelt. The whole performance was gorgeous and incredible but the way all Amsterdammers came together at the end, singing this beautiful song and waving flags...it was a sight like no other. It gave me goose bumps, brought tears to my eyes and I'm so grateful for this video so that I may watch it over and over. Thank you!

This is even more enjoyable to watch than it is to listen to. The incredible chemistry between Lucas and Arthur, which is always there is even stronger in this performance - they are clearly just plain having a lot of fun playing together, grinning all the way through the piece. But beyond that, the chemistry between the brothers and the audience is so heartwarming. They are working hard to please their audience - the audience adores them, and the brothers are drinking in the energy of the audience. Everyone is loving the moment. What a beautiful performance, what a special moment in time. BRAVO. Wish i could have been there.

In a 1992 Amsterdam outdoor concert men wore coat and tie. In 2018 men wore coat but no tie, and some w/o even a coat.

Sorry,dit stuk mag wat meer recht,recht aan uitgevoerd worden.Klassieke inslag er aan toevoegen is mooi,en
de broers spelen geweldig.Pianistische hoogstandjes zijn mooi,maar het stuk wordt teveel overstemd.Viool
en zang maken het er niet beter op.Voor mij geen geslaagde versie.Maar ach,het is maar een mening.

Eric Jansen helemaal mee eens , ze speelde echt fantasties maar het nummer Amsterdamse grachten mocht meer naar voren komen/ beter te horen worden vanuit de piano's.
Ze speelde er maar door heen met bij geluidjes!

Je hebt gelijk Eric, de broers spelen idd geweldig en zijn twee van m'n favoriete pianisten, maar de Amsterdamse Grachten van gisteravond met violist Pekka Kuusisto was 1000 keer leuker!

Oh for Gods sake...this was pure and utter entertainment .I've never watched one of their videos...and I watched most of them where Lucas and Arthur had so much fun and the audience LOVED IT....go take a cold bath
