Amanda Bynes torpedoed her own career and let's not forget she is the one that decided to get mix up in drugs/alcohol. Yes, the movie industry can be rough for child actors to make the transition into movies/tv after they have grown up, but that is just the nature of any acting job. Some people find success as child actors while others find success has adult actors. Now there are some who were successful child actors that become successful adult actors. The key is strike while you're hot and take it as far as you can, because look at all the actors that are in the SAG of which only less than 1% actually work full time as an actor/actress. It was Amanda's own self-destructive behavior that ended her career prematurely, and she cannot blame that on the industry. Poor choices are what got her where she is today. This society is full of excuses and casting blame instead of taking responsibility for one's own actions.
I sort of thought of Kenan and Kel as the All That equivalent to Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi from the original SNL cast. Maybe it's because Kenan and Kel left All That a year before Season 6 (the final season of the original run from 1994-2000) just like how Aykroyd and Belushi left the year prior to the final season (Season 5 from 1979-80) of SNL with the original core.
I sort of consider Lisa Foiles to be the Eddie Murphy of All That in that she was undoubtedly, the best thing that they had going for themselves during the first extensive rebuilding period in the show's history.
It's crazy that we all acknowledge that the entertainment industry usually harms kids in some way but when they get a little older and start having problems we act like its all their fault or like they deserve it because they experience success. Shameful.
@billy6464 Hell no! Ain't no way kel was a kid kevin hart. I think u mean more like a kid martin lawrence since some of his funny dances are some what like martin
After watching Sloans in depth details on Dan Schneider and what he did to Amanda I see now how she is the way she is today. She deserved better than that. Schneider messed her up so bad and she even lived with him. I hope she gets help and can come back to us
I had 2 kids during the hey day of All That! I would sit with them and watch the show cuz even as an adult (25ish) it was very entertaining. I remember when they introduced Amanda and she was hilarious. I was exposed to a lot of Nick from around 1994 thru 2010ish cuz honestly I didn't care for much else that was on the tube in those days. Pete and Pete sticks in my mind as an outstanding example of creativity and overall giving kids a great alternative to most shows geared towards selling merchandise but lacking the substance that helps young minds grow creatively and allows them to view the content on their own terms instead of treating them like sheep, reducing their humanity to a ratings calculation and labeling them a consumer.
