At 0:32 the music's MMX inspiration is worn on its sleeve haha, I love that

Funny Story about the trailer music! Had to completely redo the music 2 times. 1st track sounded dark and scary like Super Metroid. After talkin with Shep he wanted more MMX vibes. Like more badass and cool rather than fearful. Makes total sense.
So I remade it with character’s main theme and boss themes. Very trance like. Still a little too dark sounding, so redid it a final time to get this beat out. We even considered using older tracks I premade for the game if we couldn’t custom make something for the trailer well enough.
But yeah this beat takes huge inspo from MM Zero style guitars and bass. MMBN synths and grooves. Perfect Control melee combo vid style intro.
Shep was inspired specifically by a MMZ4 track. Straight Ahead! I loved the guitars so drew a lot from that.
MMX2 is my fav so I am inspired by it. Shep’s fav is MMX4.
