There's got to be great comedic potential with goblins giving letters to a bird to randomly find you in a cave somewhere instead of just saying something to your face, and also putting gifts in there like food and not knowing how long its going to be until you get it...
I can't get over how consistently great all the artwork for Isle Goblin is. From the big stuff like that new intro to small things like the item sprites. You've just really nailed the art style. Can't wait to see more!
I can't believe you've managed to complete so much while also having a full time job, with only a small team??? What??? And the quality is so consistently good on the game AND the videos. These little goblins are always the highlight of my day ❤
It feels like you're cheating. How? How can you, a solo indie dev, make such a large and beautiful game? I understand that it's technically possible, but the amount of dedication you're showing for this project... you terrify me.
It was genuinely your devlogs that got me into making my own Devlog videos for my own indie game. I keep on coming back when I need inspiration. The game might not be my vibe but the videos keep me hooked! Rooting for you!
This project gives off such a quality vibe in every single aspect. I don't really play games anymore but I'm still excited to see this one. The Steam video was honestly one of the best I've ever seen and wishlisting was immediate. I hope you'll balance it so it's equally fun to play single and multiplayer.
your dedication to listening to your viewers is amazing. i feel like big game developers aren’t really able to connect with their customers that well and also often don’t want to. it’s refreshing to have someone build an amazing looking game that is almost community built.
I find it so impressive that you make me incredibly excited for the game release AND on top of that I just enjoy watching your videos with the quirky illustrations and humor so much.
is there a zoom in zoom out feature? Thats something that terraria has that makes the game WAY MORE immersive and satisfying. Its as if u control the eyes of ur character, PLEASE ADD!
Love your design philosophy of making the game fun before filling it with a bunch of stuff. Definitely going to buy it at launch and probably for my sister as well.
Im loving the progress so far!! I'll wishlist isle goblins today to help others reach your game, the quality and commitment you have to the community thus far is a true gem in game dev :)
That opening looks awesome. It conveys the premisse pretty concisely. Good job! I can't wait to play this game! I've been following this channel for close to a year now, and I am loving it.
Can't wait for the demo! I have been following this project for over a year and love the little drawings you include in the videos. The algorithm does not do you justice man!
Been following your progress updates for the past few months and I absolutely love this. I especially got excited seeing the desert goblin tribe it just adds so much to the world. Gameplay looks awesome, artwork is incredible and super polished. So excited to see the coming updates keep up the amazing work!!!
The intro cutscene looks awesome! One suggestion - the art flashes by really fast when you're seeing it for the first time, perhaps fading out the boss slides so the eye has more time to take it in would help it feel more natural! Otherwise looks super good!
love the art as always! makes me watch every single video, keep up the good work don't let the burnout reach you man just finish one task at a time I know it can feel daunting with the "little game" you have but just make sure to enjoy whatever you are doing and don't feel pressured by the testing to rush things, work as you see fit and take care of your mental health
I really hope you put those humans in their place. Been following for 11 months now. Always impressed from one engineer to another. Will definitely support by buying it. I honestly relate mostly to your dry but witty humor and love that it shines through into aspects of your game. I've shared about this to many people asking about games. Best thing I've seen being made.
So impressive how this whole game is coming together. I am a video game developer myself so I really know how much work goes into all the aspects of a game. Wish you the best of luck in your development and I am definitely gonna buy the game once its out!
Ive been following casually on reddit for a while, and it's crazy to see how far you've come! like, felt like yesterday and you've got something impressive here! You're doing the thing! I'd go so far to say that you're an inspiration for other folks getting into this work.
This is looking so good! I love how you're creating the systems and mechanics to make sense in the world as a goblin. I feel it'll really add to the immersion and give more reason for the player. Also love the way you edit these videos to be so easy to understand and watch!
Can’t believe how much this little game about goblins has developed! Congratulations, you really have come so far! Not just as a developer, but as a creator. These videos are always a treat, and I for one can’t wait to play the game for myself
Hey, hoping this helps the algorithm. This is one of my favorite projects to follow. I'm working on my own project so this is really inspiring me to keep going. Good luck on the testing and release
I just recently found you and your game and I already love it and can't wait for it to come out! It's amazing how you as a single dev are able to create such a good looking game with so much thought and love for detail!
your videos really got me in to making games, i'm studying programing for a month now and did a couple of small games but whenever i get stuck or my motivation gets pretty low to do it i watch your videos and the motivation gets back again, really, thanks for share your progression and new stuffy you're implemeting in your game, looking foward to play it in the future
I'm a huge fan of pixel art and that cutscene was so well done! From experience animating something that isn't a short attack or some kind of movement can be really difficult. The shading also looks amazing!
watching your art get progressively better is so awesome. Really inspires to work daily to get to a similar level. Can't wait for Isle Goblin's release! (Wishlisted, liked, subscribed, glazed duh)
Its so cool ur making ur own game, i've literally played every single roguelite on steam and when im in the shower or in the car to work im always fantasizing about making the game I want to play wishing u mad success
I've been watching since the nearly the first video about the project. It's amazing to see how it's changed, improved, and focused its vision over time.
when you described the game at the start I was instantly HYPED!! The game sounds awesome and the graphics are beautiful, and I happen to love both Terraria AND Stardew. Looking forward to the playtest!
It's so cool watching this project grow!! I've been watching since the second video you put out on this and seeing how it evolves and how you to about these things is really valuable to me!! I've grown pretty attached to this
I love your Game! It‘s just WoW!! I am also an Indie Dev at 15 years old and working on my own Game. I just love to see how your Game is coming out so far.
This game looks so promising, and the intro just blew me away! Honestly, I'll have to keep myself from watching all of your videos at once to not get too impatient lmao. But yeah, it looks really enjoyable! Take your time and we'll have an indie masterpiece in a couple of years ;)
This is the second update I've watched, and it looks great. It must be hard to devolope a game while also working your job, but it has come out great. Wish you the best :)
this looks like it has a lot of potential, i would love to see the game having alot of achievements to collect, even easy ones or rare cosmetics u could get from bosses or something like it that it would give the game alot of replayability and keep players hooked for longer
This has come so far from where it began, in just over a year and a half! I hope that you're very proud of your progress, because it truly is amazing to see ❤
I'm looking forward to this coming out! It seems so fun! NPC idea, crashed alien ship that needs X to get repaired and go back home. Could be fun world building
Hey I know I’m a little late to this one, but I just have to say I love your game so far and have had it wish listed for months at this point. As a gamer just remember to leave stuff to do once you unlock the turtles, other wise you may not have a reason to come back!!! Thanks for sticking to it and can’t wait to play.
So happy that the UA-cam algorithm suddenly decided that i should be here! I agree, thank you UA-cam algorithm for that. Super cute game, looking forward to playing it when it comes out, in the meantime I'm looking forward to more devlogs.
The opening cutscene looks great! Been following this game through the TikTok updates until I realised you had a UA-cam and have been subscribed ever since. I think it would be cool if the different villages of goblins were different types of goblins as to not just be the same as the one you create for some more variety. Some of these variants could be hobgoblins or bugbears or shown by a distinct colour.
Just stumbled upon this, game look super interesting and cute, wishlisted and will be keeping an eye on it for sure. Just one thing I'll say, don't worry about "copying" other games, we improve because we build on what has been done and make it better, Corekeeper and Necesse (and Terraria.. Starbound etc.) all have similar aspects and that's a good thing, they still feel distinct. I think giving them a play would be a good thing. also: I love that intro, looks so good!
amazing job on the game! speaking of jobs, my boss said “dress for the job you want, not for the job you have.” So I went in as Batman. I also love anything goblin, and there arn't many goblin games so thank you for this.
Love the Polish you've added to the game (not the language lol) .. it must've been the hardest part and a massive grind but the Game looks GREAT! And the Intro adds such a professional touch :) Loving your Work Sir!
I'm so excited for the full release of this game. As a Terraria, Neccesse and many pixel games enjoyer. This game looks like it has promise. Definitely going to play this with my brother when it comes out.
first time I'm watching a video from your channel and it's amazing, it's a mix of an animating channel and gamedev my 2 favorite genres. A very fun watch
God I just love the art of both the video and the game! I'm hoping eventually I can reach that kind of talent. I've been improving recently so keep doing what you do and it'll inspire others as well!
Always nice to see Isle Goblin continue to grow at a steady pace! Really motivates me to keep going with my own projects, even when tired from work. Keep at it
This the first video of yours I’ve seen. In the past few months I’ve been working on my own goblin indie game as well. (I started making it before I saw this I swear) I hope I can get as much success as you did. Amazing job. You gained a new subscriber ❤
Add orc camp which will send attack waves to your village till you find camp and kill the leader, simple but give the world some life to it,some extras ,1- you can build golems to defend the village. 2-there are friendly blackSmith orc will arrive after waves end. Love the game ❤.
Love how the indie game industry of 2024/2025 is turning out! Isle Goblin is one of my favourite games of all time
I'm glad for the fall of triple A
wish it was on switch
@@Taidhg-v5m maybe one day! fingers crossed.
Same, Can’t wait, hope it explodes like stardew valley
Lol
Intro cut scene is way better. I can understand the basis for the bosses and such. It's really perfect art and music for the game too.
Yeah man it was really intense tooo
There's got to be great comedic potential with goblins giving letters to a bird to randomly find you in a cave somewhere instead of just saying something to your face, and also putting gifts in there like food and not knowing how long its going to be until you get it...
A quest should be to find a really perfect sword, then put it in the river and rub it against a rock to make it jagged and rusty… a true goblin sword
😂
I can't get over how consistently great all the artwork for Isle Goblin is. From the big stuff like that new intro to small things like the item sprites. You've just really nailed the art style. Can't wait to see more!
Another amazing devlog! Hope it gets the recognition it deserves! Thank you so much for the shout-out as well ❤

It was genuinely your devlogs that got me into making my own Devlog videos for my own indie game. I keep on coming back when I need inspiration. The game might not be my vibe but the videos keep me hooked! Rooting for you!
Same here! It also made me understand how much work devlogs are to make…hence why I only have two so far on my channel. 😅
This project gives off such a quality vibe in every single aspect. I don't really play games anymore but I'm still excited to see this one. love the love comments talking about how do they love the love that you put into your lovely game!
The devlog got me excited, the cutscene made me wishlist
