Good trade n thanks. Ive traded NVDA since $120. On hot days, it has a tendency to run hard at the close. Today was a little diff as the stock ran hard near noon then I got out then it weakened towards eod but still closed up $7.63. Good stuff n thks.
Man the attention to detail with this setup is A1. Great how Mike gave us a gem by mentioning the use of options activity to add more edge. Thanks guys.
I’ve been watching these videos for weeks and I just now looked down and realized I’m watching a video from three years ago. But in any case I agree that was excellent trading in an analysis. I agree mostly with the part where he said he is selling into strength Because that’s my trading style. I also buy into weakness. It’s a difficult skill to master because if you don’t do it in the right place you get crushed on the other end of the spectrum. I was watching a beginning trader last night that was being coached by one of the other traders, and they both seemed lost I can’t remember what stock he was trading, but it seems such an odd choice as if he was on his way to the office and saw a discount tire shop and decided he was going to trade discount tire stock when he got to the office. In any case, it had dropped a full ATR and he was looking to sell it on a retracement although he did not use the word retracement he sold it when it pulled back maybe 10%. My first question for this trader would’ve been how do you come up with support and resistance levels? these two traders look so lost and I’m wondering if they’ve ever heard of 61.8%. Also never looking to the left on the chart is like only looking to the right every time you cross the street that’s straight looked like it could’ve been a huge winner, if he would’ve just waited for the retracement. It looked like his cell order stopped the retracement dead and its tracks. I can look at a chart and see where 61.8% will be located and I could see to the left. there were two resistance areas right at that point, so I’m always hearing that we should write in an email and tell you what we think and this is the first time I’ve had opportunity. I don’t know if anyone will see this so I will try to copy and paste it into an email for you. I mainly trade the tape and I can trade tape alone, without any other assistance or indicators once again, it’s not an easy skill of master, but it can be done if you understand the Ebben flow of the market trade, which is the ES futures. The main thing to understand about the tape which I’ve never heard anyone mention is The starting and stopping. That being said strictly from table alone I meant anticipating this year in 2024 beginning of a market when the ES reaches 6000. Maybe 6021 for the ultimate top. And then look out below because plan on holding a whole shopping basket of puts hopefully I can get the January 25 a decent price. So much for copying this post because it won’t copy I will rewrite the whole thing from memory.
The rvol and atr scanner is exactly I need. I’ve always found that atr moves are much better than % moves and the good clean follow through often happens in lower % gains.
Another great trader to watch in action.Learned heaps .Hey Mike! Is there a possibility to get the great scalper Mr swang. to make a video for us to watch? That would be something!
Wow, such a calm detailed, soon to be sophisticated trader with strong analytical skills and excellent use of technology.👏 Hey, can we see some women from SMB
I feel like I would trade this similarly in some ways. I personally use a 9ema to judge how strong the momentum is in a breakout, 21ema would be used more for an intraday swing setup however i do like to take profits and re bid with tier 1 again like this trader does, not sure if he manages all his breakouts this way. I feel like im more in control of the trade that way while also taking profts while they are there. Very good technicals on this trade and a very straight forward approach. Im curious if this trader looks at rsi at all or if it plays any roll in his breakout setup? I enjoyed Mike's suggestion about using this setup and 1st pullback as a way for an intraday swing, I myself am trying to find ways to improve on my breakouts and this is probably the best way to ultimately capture more of an uptrend instead of essentially starting from scratch with tier 1 again..thanks for the insight
Good commentary on using the options pricing leading up to earnings. Near term expected move, open interest and volume for the the OTM/ATM calls and option time & sales in the day(s) leading up helps to provide a confidence for the initial size needed at open on this trade. I like to combine stock trades like this with a bull put strategy and/or ATM combo option trade (buy calls/sell puts in the near term expiration) and hedge gains or take off size as I go during periods of consolidation.
Great homework was done. I also use the same strategy for Earning days, but I also keep in mind dividend days for reversal patterns, sell offs and etc.
Hey Mike, this trader is on some real Jedi type of stuff. Very impressive, very calm, he is confident going into the trade, using his technology to gain some real edge going into the trade as well. This guy, Shark, Ryan, Merritt and Killer(Matt) on a team? It would send other firms and Wall Street into cardiac arrest. Just sayin.
@@smbcapital you know it. But what I like was the Tech to Improve charts and Tech for Historical Data. That?!?! I need in my life right now. I swear I heard me say in my Golem voice "I wants it, my Precious."
Fantastic SMB video as always👏👏👏 I guess isn't just me who would love to see the same analytical vide from Shark to see how someone who is the best in this field approach a stock to trade.
🧡💛💚💙 Great guidance Mikey. How long do stock traders usually prepare for a stock like this? Is it 1 hour or so? I am curious because in Bitcoin we have to go to sleep and wake up being very aware of the entire macro scope + levels (since its 24/7)
Most traders already know the game plan when they see something since they are constantly planning and doing these playbooks. A newer trader may take longer to plan a trade out but that time spent will pay off later when things become automatic. When something trades 24/7 like bitcoin you need to have a plan in place for the worst case scenario especially when there is fear in other markets.
@SMB Capital Hi guys, Are there any traders that trade WTI Crude Oil? would love to see how they approach it and if they utilise RVOL, VWAP, EMAs etc along with breaking down fundamentals. thanks for all of the content

good points Mike - and nice using the ema. Shark likes to use a 5day ma to judge when a stock might be too extended.

Ummm this guy is a "new" trader??? lol fooled me... awesome job haha
Is he a Trader or a Surgeon....
New traders always want to force themselves to trade a setup without knowing the market condition.
