You've obviously never hunted high fence deer. I'm talking about a two to three thousand acre or bigger enclosure, I'm not talking about a canned hunt where the deer is running around in 5 ac enclosure and you basically just pay to kill it
Just a note for the future, use both arms. Push the bow out *whilst* pulling the string back. All at once, one motion. For a forward draw, you need to turn your torso forwards, and pull back using it along with your arm. If you're trying to simply draw over your torso, you'll have almost no power in your arm to perform the draw.
If someone is strong enough to use 92lb bow, why not? I have a hoyt VTM 80# and can draw effortlessly. I can shoot 100 arrows out of it in one training session without any pressure. When I shoot, I don't need to care about wind because I shoot heavier arrows yet they still fly faster then other people's. You gain accuracy with higher draw weight.
@@sovietrepublic38 not at all the point I’m making. Something I will never understand. Guys will pull 26/27/28 inches and think throwing on 80lb limbs are gonna take them to the promised land. A thing about these compound bows is that once you pass a certain threshold, the pull becomes close to nothing. It's that initial tug that you gotta get past.

This feels insignificant after watching that guy who uses a 165 pound long bow. 😂
I got a 90lb (30in draw length) apa king cobra myself, the thing is a beast. I once shot an arrow when my bow was untuned and it penetrated through my house wall(through a fat baseboard, drywall, OSB, and stucko) using a field point. I want the new apa 100# bow now.
Still cant kill a deer
You don't need that shit. Mines at 60lbs and shoots 80 yards no problem. Old ass browning bow with new strings and cables
@Willy bman can't kill a deer?? Bro u gotta be trolling, that thing can kill two bucks in a row lol.
@Willy bman also if ur talking about my skill bro then ur wrong. This is my first bow and I can consistently shoot bullseye ay 20 yards. For a beginner that's not bad at all. Btw I ain't gonna be hunting untill I can shoot up to 60-70yards consistently
@@willybman3723That's rite. Don't have to use the late$t and greate$t every year to make meat or hang another one on the wall either. Unless that's what you're into. I been shootin a Jennings carbon extreme since it was the newest one out there. So long I can't recall what year I got it.
Imagine having a baby watching him grow for 20 years then seeing do this proud dad for sure
Try drawing from the down position instead of up in the air. You’ll use more of your back to open up your chest and arms on the draw.
Oh yeah thstd awesome, give him the bow Cam, it's only fair. He kinda felt it Goin Cam, now he's a beast as well😂
- Start low _(aimed at ground)_
- Lock the elbow of your stabilization arm. _(left)_
- Swing the bow up, elbow staying locked, use your back and shoulder muscles together of your drawing arm. _(right)_
- Twist your upper body towards the direction of your drawing arm _(right),_ using your shoulder and back of your stabilization arm to push the bow forward.
Once you get this series of movements down, as they basically all flow into one movement, you'll find it vastly easier to draw heavier bows. Much heavier bows. You are engaging every major muscle group in your upper body by doing this.
About time🤣
WOW that thing fires smooth and fast.
Ive had my last two bows set at 85 😆 my boys witch are both bigger than me dont play with it...😆 they both have bows but won't crank em up...
This was great to watch. Thanks...
Don't you have the pull up record?
92 pounds?! That’s insane
40 Kgs, it is a legit weight.
Joe Gibbs of England shoots a 240 pound Warbow, have you ever seen him here on youtube?.
I have been waiting for this day. Thinking to myself, "The dude can do 4000+ pull-ups in a day, I bet he will be pulling his dad's bow back soon."
Here it is! Congrats man. Love it.
Dad’s smirky stare down makes this even better.
Nice job. Your dad looked happy when you drawn the bow. I hope the bow is now yours
I did this in High School. After a day of shooting, BARELY being able to draw back my friend’s dad’s bow, I was sore for half a week! Felt like I’d been stabbed in the back with a Bow-ie knife. 😉
What the new generation doesn’t understand is sometimes it takes an insult rather than pity to motivate someone into success.
Gold doesnt start off pretty, it must be put through fire. Stay manly gents 💪🏾🧔🏾♂️
Yeah, right arsehole. Make you feel better ya prick?
Back in the day our archers in England used to pull 185 pound war bows. The king made it mandatory that every man and son would train with a bow at least once a week for a full day, some people took it a lot further and trained many times a week.
I was rooting for bro super glad
The secret is to wear pants that fit.. let that hammer loose homie.. whole new world
🗣yeah, try pulling that bow back when you been sitting 🪑 there for 2 hours in freezing 🥶 weather and along comes Mr. Big Buck of a lifetime 🏹🦌🤠
Try making a sentence without emojis, then you can talk.
That's what I said he would never get it pulled back at 70 lbs freezing cold led alone at 92 lbs that's probably his iq Aswell
Now let’s see it without the release, fingers on string 😁
Need that 90 lbs on those high fence hunts.
You've obviously never hunted high fence deer. I'm talking about a two to three thousand acre or bigger enclosure, I'm not talking about a canned hunt where the deer is running around in 5 ac enclosure and you basically just pay to kill it
@@cericson3426 you’re right. I haven’t. Because I’m an actual hunter.
That form is wild😂👏👏
Just a note for the future, use both arms. Push the bow out *whilst* pulling the string back. All at once, one motion. For a forward draw, you need to turn your torso forwards, and pull back using it along with your arm. If you're trying to simply draw over your torso, you'll have almost no power in your arm to perform the draw.
Literally zero necessity for 92 pounds on a compound bow.
As I have said before and I’ll say again, this is fucking silly.
There zero necessity for 90% of what humans do. Turns out we like cool shit
I’m all for going above and beyond in power with just about any sport/hobby/etc. archery is the one thing where the curve of draw weight/draw length has a STEEP drop off and below marginal difference for those that feel the need to crank up the weight. Something I will never understand. Guys will pull 26/27/28 inches and think throwing on 80lb limbs are gonna take them to the promised land. I shoot 30.5 inch and at 73lbs on my 11 year old monster, I’ll go toe to toe IBO with any clown that shoots 80/90/100lb on any bow of their choosing.
There is exactly zero reason to have a bow with a 92 lb draw
Reminds me of those wannabe macho truck driver guys that put a ninety pound clutch in their Peterbilt trying to be tough. All they're doing is wearing out their knee faster. 🙄
I'm 6'6 and 260 so I have a bow with an 88 lb drawback
@@hunterwilliams7059big guy wants a cookie or something😂
@afishy1465 I mean a regular bow feels like a kids toy to me. if ur serious abt the cookie I'm down
Plenty of reasons. More weight means more energy. More energy means longer ranges you can shoot and also bigger game. Yes for most applications this is overkill but Hanes isn’t in situations most people are in.
That’s like a 40kg dumbbell row, which is actually a significant weight, wouldn’t have guess it would be that much.
This comment section is hilarious 😂 Half of the comments are ”92# is ridiculous ego lifting and way too much”, and the other half is ”92# is nothing, my two year old niece can draw that in her sleep” 😂😂😂
My guy can do 1k pull ups, but struggles to pull his dads bow😂 Thats dad strength 😂😂
that dad look cool as hell😂 swaggy type vibes
Proud dad right there.😅😂
Little stronger than you think, right Little buddy.
Don’t fell bad, your dad is one of the baddest dudes on the planet!
Not a bow, a machine
These are easy. Try old school stuff. You'll really appreciate their strengths.
Dad is strong asf 😂
You'll get there eventually dude, it's mainly shoulder strength. Keep training for a steady draw and hold.
Good God man. You can't even make it all the way thru a 10 second video before scrolling down to the comments and spewing nonsense. You might wanna get some treatment for your severe ADHD.
Go back and watch the entire clip. He did pull it all the way back on the second try there bud. Congrats on having the attention span of a gnat.
You’re also pulling with all shoulder since your arm is up like that. Draw with your arm down so your back is engaged too. It’s a lot easier than trying to strong arm it
Cams son ain’t no joke either 😂😂😂 and he had a tuff time damn…
“ I kinda felt it goin “ 😢😂😂😂
And now imagine having to draw a 150-180lbs bow while on the battlefield with screaming blood and dead bodies around you
A thing about these compound bows is that once you pass a certain threshold, the pull becomes close to nothing. It's that initial tug that you gotta get past.
Dads be strong as hell
The cool thing about large cams for those that don’t know, once you power through it’s almost easy to hold draw
1st attempt compared to attempt 2 was so different 💀
Notice that Dad got out of the way before his boy went for it the second time.....
Smart move Father!😊
I’m pretty sure Cam standing there to his left caused him to fail the first attempt 😂
Bows are sick, cool hobby
Dad looked like thor when cap picked up the hammer
Honestly to avoid injury, I prefer not even trying to pull up to 70lbs let alone 100lbs. 55 to 65lbs is pretty solid imo, effortlessly effective.
You could tell the kid seriously pulled a muscle. 😂
With modern cams and limb action, these intense draw weights are all about bragging rights.. you can take a moose at 55-60 lbs draw weight on modern bows..
I’ve only drawn a 90lb once and I hated it so much, you don’t even feel secure at lock out
The arrow simply dissapeared 💀
My shoulder would pop
