- Chancellor of the exchequer Rachel Reeves has expressed her pride after being announced as the first-ever woman to hold the position.
Ms Reeves said that becoming Britain’s first female chancellor feels like “smashing one of the last glass ceilings in politics”.

Labour are incredibly behind on glass ceilings compared to Conservatives, Greens and Lib Dems as they’ve never elected a female leader of the party. Even UKIP had a female leader for about 10 mins 😂 could Reeves be a future Labour Leader? I suppose it all depends on how she does as Chancellor.
