At first glance I thought that it's a collection based mostly on Shalimar editions and then my breath stopped when I realized that there were bottles of Liu, Vega and, - oh my God, I still cannot believe it- Bouquet De Faunes. Really? I have seen only a bottle of this in the International Perfume museum in Grasse. But the final stroke came when I saw the ultimate fragrance, the dream of my dreams, the most precious juice I have ever smelled (and I own only few drops). Djedi! Seriously now, have you ever thought of renting a safety deposit box? congratulations again!
OMG!!! Now, THAT is impresive! I hope you are going to review or compare some of those gems in the near future. Definetly, I need to re-play this video!

What an awesome Guerlain collection you have there! I need to know how you decorated the bees in gold on the L'huere de nuit bottle?! It looks amazing! I am totally loving all of your Shalimar bottles, the Queen of Guerlain ;)
AW thanks Ami!, it's nothing compared your's tho but I am quite proud of it...I am trying to add more to it. Was bidding on a Sous Le Vent bottle the other day but the auction ended and i got out bidded last minute while i was driving on a high way!! how horrid!
waritwarit man i think you are a perfect target for fakes:-) ..i know how hard it is to buy vintage perfume on ebay! There are not so many and most of them are dirty water!...your habit rouge cologne does it smell even unopened? Because it has to!

I'm really thinking about purchasing a bottle of Shalimar for myself just based off of all of the reviews I've read about it. Never smelled it before. Is it suitable for men?
Hey Trev, Definitely Shalimar can be worn by men as it is a pretty smoky and leathery oriental vanilla - to be honest some mens fragrances on today's market smells so much sweeter than Shalimar actually is... I think this is something that a man in a suit on a cold day could defnitely pull off EASILY!
Where are you located? EDP should still be available unless you live in certain countries in Asia or South America where lighter scents sells better...you can only get EDP online then. When i went to Asia for a holiday the guerlain counters did not have a lot of choice available due to the hot climate there people don't really buy scents like Shalimar original therefore isnt available.

I live in Florida and I bought it in 2008, I loved it and I didn't think they will discontinue EDP now they came up with EDT it's almost the same but I love strong scents. now they have My insolence. not like the original at all. the original has brownish juice,the new one is pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thats very strange, you should be able to get that easily in Florida! cheaper than it is in Australia too. Perhaps if you cannot find any at retailers your best bet is to try online :)
Its unfortunately not available where I live....I have smelt it once briefly in Paris...I actually really liked it but cannot recall exactly how each notes smelt....i remember it being creamy, sweet and just divinely delicious....unfortuantely i ran out of budget and couldnt buy it!
Tsao kao vintage guerlain??lol are you suuure??? Jezus you are a perfekt target to buy such a fakes and lies, did you ever see price of a real vintage bottle...i dont think asians bought so much of guerlain in the past to have so many vinatges waiting for you only at such great prices lol
I got it for about $40, the seller was only selling the bottle the perfume in it is just a trace , doesn't mean anything.....I am just lucky that a few drops came along with the bottle. Oh and Tsao-kao was not an asian exclusive, it was available in france and proabably the US too.. just because the name is asian and the scent was asian inspired, doesn't mean it's only available in asia. ;)
