Konosuba never fails to live to expectations... It's been like 8 years since I read this nivel and I still vividly remember each scene... Though sadly quite a bit has to be left out to fit anime time... Seeing these guys acting and expressions makes it so much better than the actual novel...

Supplementary info/LN changes (Long comment warning, also, watch out for people spoiling/hinting spoilers in the comments without warning. People are getting really aggressive with them, for some reason.)
The LN says Kazuma’s exact Lvl: 17, which is still less than Aqua’s, when she revealed it in S1E9 (Lvl 21.) 4:32 - Kazuma was actually buffed by Aqua in the LN and this was still his third death, unlike the anime (his skills don’t deal damage, except for Drain Touch’s drain and that’s generally one target.) 5:36 - ‘It’s time to S-S-S-S-Steal!’ This LN gives more info on the divine relics, that people can use them besides the specific person, but it’ll be toned down and that Eris warns that reincarnated people might be hunted for these items. A cut gag where Darkness threw his corpse to a corner for safety, but a monster started to drag him away, so they tied him to a heavy object (also he was revived later and not immediately, because Aqua was lazy and didn’t want to revive him again if he died again.) 7:21 - Crimson Demons are just Demons in name, closer to super soldiers like Captain America, but with Magic, as shown in the movie. 11:24 - Kazuma tried again in the LN, but nothing happened except it glowing again. 11:57 - The anime downplays him, because he already knew it was a relic in the LN, but remembered the mission after Aqua was brought up.
Megumin foreshadowed the punch and her watching from the side, after saying that she would look after Iris, so she was fine with Iris getting punched. Claire, the second bi woman who’s a lolicon in this series, with Cecily from KonoBakuen being the first and now you know why Claire is so overprotective/strict and loyal with Iris (they also buffed Claire in the anime, because in the LN, Kazuma monologues that he prefers Claire’s body, but Darkness is more well endowed and the bath illustration shows this.) Kazuma monologues that he thought it was cruel that Eris swapped Iris and him back, so it’s clearer that Kazuma was getting punched and Megumin was on Kazuma’s back, instead of standing around (though, they made her do JoJo Part 4 Josuke’s pose at 17:03 , so I don’t mind it.) 17:52 - Iris is a competitor for Kazuma, to Megumin. 19:01 - Nope, the notes are in the afterlife. Since Claire’s house and full name hasn’t been mentioned by now, she’s from house Symphonia (the houses are counterparts, with Dustiness being the Shield, Symphonia being the Sword, and both support Iris’s family/Kingdom: Belzerg), so her full name is Claire Field Symphonia. 11:19 and 15:22 are similar to Alice’s in Combatants’ anime. 20:48 - Important, because lolicon and the criminal are two different words in JP and are treated as such (one is the ‘forfeit all possessions to the cat’ meme and the other is ‘fbi open up.’)

You know, considering how in the first episode, Kazuma was described as "above average intelligence", episodes like this make me seriously wonder what "average intelligence" looks like in this world.

If you remember back to the Sylvia movie or the Legend of Crimson Demon movie, the clan was actually "manufactured" by the same Japanese guy who invented the Destroyer. What Megumin considered tattoo on every Crimson Demon people's body is actually a bar code... So they're not the same demon race as the enemy Kazuma is facing in this world.

There is no way the switching effect did not end exactly in the moment the seductive music in the bath ended and when the bar brawl began. So Iris was then naked with the two blondes and Kazuma was back in his body to get a (very deserved) beating. 🤣

Loved all of the shenanigans when he switched with iris. Cant believe people think kazuma is a pedoneet, he clearly stated he is into older woman with nice curves during episode 9 of season 1. Yet some people though he would lust over Iris.
he even said he was going into the bath for Darkness and Claire he doesnt find Iris attractive just cute, he even made a joke about her in his body and not doing anything with it, which is also why he said he didnt wanna go in the bath at first because he'd smell of soap and give away he was naked in her body
He still has the complex, though. In this LN’s chapter, he even admits that he likes Iris and the first scene of Iris and Kazuma leaving Megumin out is a bit different and Iris is sad seeing his denial, causing him to respond differently. He also says that Megumin is a loli, yet Iris is 2 years younger than her. He also stated that he wanted a little step sister and an older one, in the first Season, so he wants both.

They even did this for KonoBakuen spoilers and considering they didn’t get the context right, I’m half certain a bunch of the people spoiling didn’t read the LNs, just heard others spoiling and spreading it as a ‘fun fact you don’t know about Konosuba.’ I remember a UA-cam video did this when S1/2 released, but it was just LN spoilers disguised as ‘fun facts.’
