    Thank you for another very inspirational video! Cant wait until I can get a proper watchmakers lathe. My current is to big for this kind of work. Maby possible, but would be very cumbersome.

    Great video. Putting some soap on it will reduce the scale when hardening.

    brilliant video. I own a lathe machine but the motor does not have a control speed. it seems to run at low-speed RPM. Does this make it harder to cut at low RPM? What kind gravers that you have?

      It doesn't make it harder to cut, but may take more time. You may be able to vary the speed slightly with the different sized pulleys in the headstock. When the steel is in the soft state, I'll likely use a tool steel graver, but in the hardened/tempered state, such as when I cut the slot for the set lever, I'll use a carbide graver.
