9 May, European Unity Day: a goal yet to be achieved. Why 9 May? Why this celebration? Why Europe?
Dedicated to boys and girls between primary and secondary school. Dedicated to a friend: Antonella Bucchioni.
It's also dedicated to all adult citizens, so that they can rediscover the desire to grasp what's essential and rediscover the profound meaning of a political project that is as vital as it is stifled today by the dual prevarication of neo-liberal pro-Atlantic Europeanism and neo-sovereignist anti-American Euroscepticism. Europe needs to rediscover itself, to become a Republic, decentralised but unitary, founded on popular sovereignty but of a people of individuals and peoples.
