    How Do I Get Involved?
    1. Check out the Project Dress A Girl Announcement video on September 1 for the fun details on the event and follow me and all of the Influencers on UA-cam who will be sharing the details of their makes.
    2. Decide which pattern you want to make, gather your label and supplies, and put those superpowers to work.
    3. Post your finished dress on Instagram using #ProjectDressAGirl and tag me @marisewsforcurves.
    4. Send your dress in for donation.
    You can send it to one of the participating ambassadors or directly to
    Mari de Jesus
    P.O. Box 404
    Gaithersburg, MD 20884 USA
    Labels found here: www.dressagirlaroundtheworld....
    Dress Guidelines: * Use sturdy premium cottons, quilters cotton that can hold up to washing. If you can see your hand through it then don’t use it. * Pockets are strongly suggested * Avoid fasteners such as zippers and buttons (unless you’ve checked with your ambassador and they accept them)..Think Ties and Elastic. * Pick a pattern that is forgiving in size, nothing form fitting. * Modesty is key! The dress should be at the knee or longer. * Finish all raw edges. * Attach a label to the front of the dress.

    Thank you so much, I got so much information from you. I found tutorials I could follow. So much appreciated I just wanted to try to do this and I was a bit lost. Thank you again. Sometimes I need a bit more to get the confidence to try something I haven’t done in such a long time!

    This is a great cause! What pattern and fabric is the top you’re wearing?

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  Рік тому

      I made it with french terry fabric and its mccalls 8107 and I did a pattern review on it...ua-cam.com/video/B2WkSDLcSd8/v-deo.html the pattern is a dress but I just cut it short for the top.

    The pattern code no longer works. I am making dresses for 2023, I have 11 made, I am tired of making the pillowcase dresses, would like another pattern for variety

    Thank you. So seams have to be serged?

    • @SimplyDelilah
      @SimplyDelilah  Рік тому

      hi, the seems don't have to be serged, you can also zigzag them...the idea is to make sure all the seams are strong and sturdy and we want to eliminate fraying.
