Hear me out, i’m a splatoon player (since splatoon 1) and when i played the beta of this game, i actually enjoyed it I hope this game doesn’t die, it has a lot of potential
The songs sound much better than Splatoon 2 and 3 it got the same funk The first Splatoon songs had but not the same fun weirdness of instruments. But I'd wish Nintendo would really work on making better funky, grunge, weird, experimental music again like Splatoon Wii U

Enjoyed playing this during the beta. Completed all challenges and did basically everything the game has to offer. Had one game where someone left the match, which made it a 3v4. That game was extremely one sided so that sucks. If they can do something to prevent that, it would be nice. More gamemode variety of course. Another thing that would be nice is a good ranked mode. With a good competitive ranking system, this game would be leagues better. I know it's a beta though so i imagine the full game will have all these features. The game also needs a voicechat because the amount of times i saw teammates run into a 1v3 situation is absolutely bonkers. The music was great. So was the movement for the most part. At times it did get hectic dodging enemy foam, while trying to shoot the enemy. If they could improve aiming or find aome way for the player to more accurately guess where they are shooting, it would be very appreciated. Lastly the specials for some characters tended to overlap. Im certain that 2 or 3 characters have some type of foam wall ability, same with a sliding penguin. Not necessarily an issue but some more diversity in movests would be appreciated. Basically a solid game with a lot of potential. Especially enjoyed playing tonix (easily one of the best, if not the best character in the game)

The gameplay also looks pretty distinged from splatoon i just think its gonna take some time before people are good enough to show off the differences. Excited to see where this game goes and if it can rival splatoon
As a massive Splatoon fan, there's some charm here. Even after hearing developers utilized AI to create this game which... honestly I hate, they might have something here if it's treated correctly.
The game is fun and the soundtrack pretty bumpin'! My only gripe however, is the horrid motion controls which sometimes work but until they left and right motion inverts or the camera pans upwards/downwards. Other than that, looks promising

This feels super clunky and unpolished. There's a lot of potential but, at least from what I can tell in the video, it seems like it's hard to know exactly where your ink goes and it looks hard to paint your feet quickly. I can't tell much about how the game feels to play simply because I haven't played it, but it just looks kinda hard to control your player and hard to maneuver quickly when in combat, especially with piles of foam creating mountains too steep to scale. I like this, the soundtrack is cool and there's a nice aesthetic, it just needs a lot more work before it's a game that I think could rival splatoon.
The movement to me just looks like splatoon movement played by someone who isn't good at splatoon. I think no one is good enough at this game to really capitalise off the movement abilities so I think it'll take some time before the movement starts to look good
It's basically Persona 5 style, with the cel-shaded anime skins from FN and the mechanics of Splatoon. I give it a year tops before it's abandoned by the devs.

1. Splatoon wouldn't be Splatoon if players shoot foam. It's like saying if the game stayed with the rabbit concept, even if it didn't make sense for rabbits to shoot and swim through ink. 2. Having normal guns in Foamstars is literally Fortnite, dude. You can have all these cool, cartoony, anime-looking characters in a battlefield, and giving them a normal, automatic gun means a lack of originality. Sure, Foamstars is a loose clone of Splatoon, but at least it's having its own identity rather than copying notes from Nintendo.
