@@Endoe.McKronic What about those games? I said it's ONE of the most convincing. And there's nothing lazy about it! Making 3D polygons convincingly look like hand drawn art is easier said than done
*I'm extremely hyped for this. It seems like Shadow The Hedgehog if Sonic Team knew what they were doing with the concept of a high speed momentum based shooter.*
Buy this game. Absolutely one of my favorite games of the year. The only downside to this game is due to some baked-in mechanics, multiplayer doesn’t seem to be a possibility, but it more than makes up for that by being nearly perfect in every other regard.
This reminds me of a game I once loved as a kid 20+ years ago called Jet Set Radio. You 80s and 90s babies probably know what I'm talking about. Thanks for the info!
I've been waiting months for this, ever since I saw the teaser trailer I fell in love with the movement, vibes and visuals.. Looks solid! Aug 16th can't come soon enough!
My only gripe is with the apparent dependency on the slowmotion. Bullet time is cool and all, but if you need to be using it all the time to hit stuff (even with autoaim) it feels kinda redundant and you wonder if the developers could have worked the speed, camera or level design of the game in a different way to allow the shooting aspect to better integrate with the movement. I feel that if the gameplay allowed the player to gracioulsy clear the level of enemies while skating without breaking the natural flow of the movement (or make the slowmotion a reward for some successful action, like in Platinum games), this concept would be closer to reaching its full potential.
@@Shawn-ge9tx i had one, sold it last month for 700. Went back to my ps4 and the only difference is loading times.. gives me time to go get some coffee or grab a snack.
I feel like this would be a little cooler as a rogue like with some random elements but it still looks like a ton of fun imma get it tomorrow and honestly I already love it from the gameplay and art style and I really hope this game more attention so we can get a sequel soon
@@ELTRIZOMIK Oh no, its an old Super Nintendo (SNES) game, where you are thrown into a game-show stadium and gunning hordes of enemies. PS, its got that The Running Man feel (- very classic Arnold Schwarzenegger film 😅)
Idk, looks like it could get old really fast. I'll need to see more. I think my major concerns are the auto aiming and the lack of enemy variety. Also hope the environments become more complex but he says it's the fourth level so It's not even a tutorial level so idk. Cautiously optimistic for the moment.
Yeah it looks like it would get boring I think it would have been More interesting and challenging if the enemy AI was on skates. But the art style is amazing if the music is amazing I might still enjoy it.
Almost every game is repetitive after 20min the trick is to make it feel fresh every 30 seconds. Thus the great thing about games is we usually find out if we like the loop only when we play it.
Looks nice - cell shading looks really convincingly "handdrawn" But movement is very jerky and does not feel like physics exist in this world :/ Smoother movement and transitions between poses and some resemblance of physics effects and I am sold ...
This does look fun - but I want it to be priced accordingly. This doesn't appear to offer a great amount of content and I'll likely be burnt out by the end to consider replaying it. Guess I'll see soon.
I dont know man. The idea behind the game seems cool. But it doesnt seem there was put too much love into it. The flats are too spacey, the graphics are PS3 and even tho shes moving the whole time the game looks kinda static.
If this game doesn't try and take more money from me after I've already bought it.. And we get to unlock the cool stuff by just playing the video game.. I can already tell I'll be pleased with the game. -- Microtransactions are an absolute plague. Boosters, skins, in-game currency purchasable with real world money.. It's been a cancer on this industry. I despise what it's done to gaming companies..
Looks pretty underwhelming to me. The idea of shooting enemies while doing spinny flips and tricks seems kinda dumb. But I guess everybody draws the line for suspension of disbelieve at a different point^^
My biggest issue is how momentum can seemingly be instantly lost and then just as quickly built up in a new direction. It's a bit jarring to see knowing how skates work
You're right, there isn't a single skateboard to be seen. And since we're talking about what's not in this game, I'll add there seems to be a general lack of polish. I'd like to see this get delayed
how is that generic? how many skating games do we get a year? And how many of those are shooters? Most of the time to create something new its just the combination of a bunch of already existing things
One thing you can't deny - this is definitely one of the most convincing "hand drawn" 3D graphics ever seen. Just beautiful work
What about wet
What about borderlands? Jet set Radio? And a PS2 race game called: Auto Modellista!! All had same cartoon style graphics. It's called being lazy!!

Try Severed Steel 😉

That's what I was thinking as well
I feel like this game is a great mix of Tony Hawk/Jet Set Radio movement and the shooting gallery of the game Wet (2009 game). This looks fun.
I'll be honest, that was the fastest 7 minutes of my life. This looks so cool and I'm lowkey craving more. Cant wait!
Such a cool concept....feels like my friend Pedro but 3D
Nah it's Max Payne on rollerskates. Which is an awesome idea
@showbizonastick she showed me the clip....thanks for your being a nice hker for my father, hope your s is fine 😭🤭
Jet set radio/matrix vibes... RAD
I really wish they bring that game back. Nostalgia unlocked.
I literally thought the same thing
@@LordZevv Theres a spiritual successor coming out where the soundtrack is even being done by the same guy.
reminds me so much of Jet Set Radio
But with guns.
Sad we didn’t get a third game

Jet Set Radio the gritty years.

I can see the rollerball inspiration, especially with the level being titled houston mall
So basically tony hawk meets the matrix with an 80s aesthetic... take my wallet.
Nailed it on the head. It has a Jet Set Radio feel as well
I could see the No-Hit communities having a blast with this. 😎
I like games like this, casual games where you have to take down enemies, not having to kill other players.
I'm very glad it's singleplayer
I agree.
I am really looking forward to this game. We definitely need more skate games!

This is truly one of the games ever made. The part where they said "It's skating time" was inspirational.

the graphics are like a cartoon, that's cool 😮✨
Makes me want a Quicksilver game based on the version from the X-MEN movies
Does look cool but could also get repetitive pretty quickly. Kinda had enough of it after just watching this short gameplay.
IMHO, the autoaim takes out so much fun out of this
I guess you can turn it off like in most games
It's kind of a necessity in a fast paced game like this in consoles. I can see it being optional, specially if it comes to PC.
This looks sick
I’m getting ps2 Sony level creativity vibes from this
Never knew they still did PlayStation underground.
Tony hawks meets Sunset Overdrive ❤️🔥
