What is the importance of drying the decorations? I see the alternatives you’ve said as well as dry time but was curious as to why it’s important to do this step? Also “just the light on” like I don’t even have to warm the oven up then turn off and use that warmth? Just making sure lol.
Well, the fondant will be floppy if you don’t dry it so the tail and the head won’t stand up on their own. Drying them, firms them up. As for the oven option, the light emits enough heat to slowly dry it for a period of time. Usually overnight does the trick. You really don’t want to add too much heat as it will melt the fondant as it is sugar. Also, when you heat it, it will remain soft until it has fully cooled so it is best to let it cool fully before handling.
There are a few different variables. If you just air dry it, it will probably take a full day maybe two depending on the humidity. If you add tylos powder that will reduce your drying time substantially and if you add a small amount of heat (in your oven with just the light on) that will reduce your drying time even more. Hope this was helpful 😃
No I don't sorry, I actually drew them up myself. You could always try tracing the turkeys head right off your computer screen though. I do that on my laptop sometimes. 😊

Thanks for the love 💞
How many hrs would the decoration need to dry if i don’t have a dehydrator ?

Cute! If I dont have a dehydrator, can I just let it air dry at room temperature
for several hours?
Yep. Just needs time.
how did u stick the fondant together :)
With just a little bit of water. Just enough to make it tacky and not slimy
@@TheRobynsNest thank you loved the video by the way !!
Do you have a link or something for the templates you used?
