- One of the best free mods for DCS is the UH-60 Blackhawk mod. It gives you the ability to fly one of the most iconic logistics helicopters ever. It doesn't have any armerments but is very fun to fly troops into combat. In this video I flew ground forces into combat with the Blackhawk using a RotorOps generated mission. Hope you enjoy!

On multiplayer once I loaded a bunch of infantry into my Mi-8, carefully flew below the radar all the way to the enemy's airfield undetected and managed to set it down on the runway and deploy the troops. So now all the enemy players on the tarmac going through their start up procedures are getting lit up by AK fire and there's nothing any of them can do about it. Apparenly their discord channel was just a bunch of people screaming 😂

The flight model isn't bad. I think all the inaccuracies are based on helicopter flight models. All sims I've flown (XP, MSFS, DCS) get the trading altitude for airspeed or vice versa using pitch wrong and they enter vortex ring state way too easy. So, it takes quite a while to slow down. But overall it's outstanding. About as good as the official Army simulator I used to fly...minus the motion and accurate cockpit.

nice video. I like the UH-60 and its variants. The tippy landing is common. I use about minus 35-40 curves on the cyclic for better feel. Tried the MH-60R from Tanuki 44? Sonar, torps, hellfires, lasers, divers and rescue downed pilots day or night, dry or in the water. UFB-unbelievable.

That would be nice but from what I understand it is either very hard or not possible without access to the DCS Core code
"Snak Pak" on youtube, apperently thats his callsign, and wouldnt say why lol, he's a real Blackhawk pilot. he says the mods flight model is like 90% accurate. the yaw isn't quiet the same or some small issues. hes got a bunch of youtube videos/tutorials. maybe it was the autopilot or something that wasnt quite the same. great vids for anyone who wants to learn tips and see the real thing fly it. its also not a modern heli at all, just has more systems.

@@Wolfe351 I have the armed one too. It is easy to fly it just doesn't fell realistic. O fcourse i have never flown a blackhawk so I wouldn't know.

Since I haven’t flown it irl, I can’t comment but the flight model is inaccurate so the speed could be different as well
@@dcs_one How do you know the flight model is inaccurate? ‘Snakpak’ is a real UH-60 instructor pilot and thinks the mod is very good. This is why the Gazelle got such a bad name..armchair sim pilots with no irl experience.

I think rotorops uses CTLD for troop transport same as 4YA I think
