You walk amongst the greatest of men.
A great man is not measured by wealth or power but by how he helps others achieve great thing's through the pain of his own body. Many would never see these wonderful places, but through you're own pain, you bring these great places to the homes of many people.
    😀👍

Bloody hell! What can be achieved in a day? You are a great example of what can be done if you get off your ass and do it. Fantastic footage. Beautiful edited. You did paradise justice. On more than one occasion the look on your face, drifting in silence amongst the dinosaurs, said it all! Cheers to those that had the foresight to fight for it!

Hi Rob, l have only now been introduced to you and your video trips via my good friends in south Tassy. I live in Central Victoria on a 56 acre registered Sanctuary. I purchased this land to give back, protect and expand the extraordinary ammount of endemic flora and fauna on this connected corridor.
I purchased Olegus book during the Gordon below Franklin protests when visiting Tasmania to assist ground zero protests . I was 21. Ever since l have been in love with Tasmanias wilderness experiencing rivers, landscapes and beaches as l am a part time Aboriginal anthropologist. Your shared experiences are inspirational and l thank you very much for the detail and time allowed in your videos to simply absorb at length mother nature at her natural and rare best.

It brought back some old memories.
We live in a topsy turvy world that this masterpiece only gets 25k views
    Three things really stand out
That you could get such quality footage in that difficult country.
That you could bushwhack in from the Gordon lake through that terrain.
    That you managed it alone.
    Class act
Some great research to back it all up as well

Sadly i had just left tassie for the mainland just prior to lake pedder blowing up, but i did spend 3 days up there camping on the beach and bush walking before i left. I remember many trips as a kid up through the high country and power stations.
(They would make a good subject matter for a vid) Poatena was one of my favourites, and in fact family friends bought it after it closed.
I was seven when the fires went through the west coast in 67. Looking back i believe it was due to early weather modification experiments, and for all we know linked in some way to lake pedder much like martin bryant was central to our consfication of guns.
We lived near the last town before the hellyer, yolla and were on our way down the murchison to hobart to visit relatives.
I remember coming into a huge cutting where possibly 30-50 cars had gathered to shelter, with 4 or 5 fire trucks spraying us down with water. I clearly remember lifting my head from under the blancket just when the fire jumped the cutting. The roaring heatwave, smoke and debri flying every where was truly frightening, but for the fire trucks spraying us i was sure we would go up in smoke. When it passed and roared down the valley, the erie smokey quietness was astoundingly sinister. I think we got a very lucky break that day.

I love your work and the effort you put into sharing this amazing unseen landscape with us. However, listen the music absolutely killed this one for me. I go out to the 'back of beyond' to escape into nature - and that encompasses all that it has to offer including the sounds of footsteps, water, insects, birds. You guys have such great birdlife and it is a treat. I would much rather listen to that any day. If I want to listen to great music, I can do that anywhere. Such a shame.
