I have followed the maqam mastery progran and these unravelling taqsims videos are useful to open paths and continue training. Thanks a lot !

Hello can you briefly explain what is different between Maqam Hussaini and Maqam Bayati? I've heard that Hussaini emphasises the 5th degree and also that the 5th degree is treated as a note of tension that should resolve to the 4th degree but beyond that I can't find much information about it and can't tell the difference with my ears besides acknowledging that examples in Hussaini do include a lot of the 4th and 5th. Would be awesome if you could help out

These new videos of unravelling taqsims are excellent. Might i suggest you write more in details what is happening, like the transitions between ajnas for example. Cheers.

Please make a video explaining how Maqam modulation works 👐 no need to be super in depth of course, just to know what comes after what, how do you know which to play in relation to the other etc

there is a Dashti transposed maqam in Persian which is exactly Maqam Hussaini!
