Yeah those tiers really depend on who you’ve ran into in ranked, who you play, what your region tends to lean towards. So many factors that some characters tend to go up and down those tiers slightly
I think cloak and dagger will become S-tier whenever players get better at ult tracking. You can deny lots of ultimates with dark teleportation. Until that awareness among players improves, A-tier.
I think when people get better at reading impactful projectiles that are ultimates or CCs, Cpt America will rise up the tier lists. Everyone knows he needs a bit more dmg without having to rely on the Thor team-up, because Thor/Cap frontline in 2-2-2 isn't good, but in 3 tank comps it works. Basically the team-up helps Cap, but not the team comp balance. If Cap just gets a few slight buffs that are more quality of life, plus people get better at reflecting projectiles, he'll be super strong. When he's running at a Luna or Mantis, if he predicts well, he can reflect their CC, potentially back into them. Groot, Magneto, Iron Man ults, etc; all getting reflected. That reflect has huge potential. Last week, not in a ranked game, I deflected 2 Iron Man ults right back at him, and he died from it both times lol. Imagine if I was better at it, and angled my shield downwards towards the rest of his team, and killed most of his team with his own ultimate. If I were to buff Cap, these are the 7 things I would do: 1) Lower the 1 sec cooldown between dropping and raising the shield to .75 or .5 sec. 1 sec feels a bit clunky. Maybe shave 50 HP off his shield and/or increase the shield recharge time to justify this change, because obviously it makes reading and reacting to high impact projectiles easier. 2) Make his shield reflect not be as random, but reflect it where the crosshair is, maybe giving it a 15% error deviation, and that can be as random as it gets, so that reflecting can have more intentionality and skill ceiling. 3) Give him a dedicated melee button when he has shield throw charges. The reason why is because when he hits someone twice, the next 4 attacks will be ranged, but maybe he doesn't want to waste those 4 charges just yet. Like when he starts punching Dr Strange, he'll hit him twice, and then Strange puts his shield up, and Cap cannot melee through the shield anymore, because he's throwing projectiles now. All they need to do is make it to when Cap has the 4 throw charges, that pressing melee instead of left click, does a normal melee. It's not just for Dr Strange, but a lot of times you are sticking to people, and you don't need to waste your ranged attacks yet. Also, add 4 seconds more to his charge timer. Honestly, why does he even need a timer on it? 4) Helping his dmg output by giving all of his dmg abilities 10-15 more dmg would go a long way. 5) Give settings options to narrow down the target sensitivity of his shield throw right click and his shield throw left click charges, because sometimes I want to throw past an enemy, and they just suck in the shield and tank it when I could have finished off a low HP target behind or to the side of them. It's annoying. 6) Buff his ultimate. His knockback in his ultimate is kinda weak. Enemies should be knocked back twice as far. Cpt America's abilities feel like the cooldowns are a tad bit too long, and just having them on lower cooldowns, only during his ult, would go a long way. Also, the flag trail behind him is too skinny...lets actually be able to appreciate the American flag; make the colors more visible. It would be easier for players, enemies and allies, to see the trail and play around it. Buff the flag, buff patriotism, buff America lol. 7) Give Liberty Rush a mini-stun. I understand why they may have chosen not to do this originally, but if they don't give Cpt America a mini stun on a shield bash, who else in the Marvel Universe is more deserving of one? It can be a .1 sec mini stun so it isn't too oppressive, but can allow Cpt America the ability to cancel some ability animations for a bit more outplay potential. Half of these are just quality of life changes, some are straight up buffs, but all of them would make Cpt America much better without making him broken.
As a loki main, i Can tell you that char is real good. Prob highest dps out of all the healers, and mayb even aoe healing, his shift makes every1 on his team unkillable against alot of ults, best healer for surviving dive except jeff. And the best thing is his flexability with his ult, can get a defensive healer ult, a dps ult like hela for zoning. Looking at the meta he is good into all the other top tier char except hawk/hela and they are allways banned pretty much
Whether Wolverine or Spider-Man is better is purely a question of who you want to assassinate and who is possible to assassinate. If you need to take out the Supports on the other team, Spider-Man is better. If that's impossible or if taking out the Tanks is more valuable, then Wolverine is better.
Magik sees a lot of high Elo play because her escapes make her a menace in the backlines and with her ult at top .1% players is a penta kill waiting to happen. If you have the skill to play her perfectly she's easily a top 5 overall character, pretty much the only Melee that is. Penni is at the very least A tier and S tier on certain capture point maps and defend the payload maps, If you don't have a Penni on your team and your other team does you just lose and it feels awful. She is also frequently used as an alternative to the players Main Vanguard (like if Strange gets banned) because she's so practiced for those maps. Venom sees a lot of high Elo play because of his spiderman/Penni teamup ability and the fact he is so tanky and can shake up backlines when played properly. I wouldn't claim he's S tier or anything but I do see him in more games than hulk because his disruptiveness in team play. Storm is Trash tier, she's a flier that has less damage output and worse skills than ironman/starlord. She needs a rework as much if not more than Blackwidow. (how they didn't give storm a chain lightning ability that allowed you to build up stacks you could pop for additional damage i'll never know... that seems so obvious and would be a good anti clump mechanic). I support your views on Namor and Wolverine. Namor is seeing some high elo play because i believe his ult can pierce Luna's ult if you get a perfect hit (like you have an Eye of Agamotto set up). I've only played a few Wolverines (most favor Black panther, Spiderman, or Moonknight for that sort of dps skirmisher role) and each wolverine player was extremely scary. If you run into someone who mains him they are so hard to counter because so few i've run into play him, most just aren't used to what he can do. Other than that it's a solid list.
Highest dps output in the support roster goes to adam spamming lmb+rmb together And even then pretty much any support that can crit beats loki in DPS even with 2 clones up, single target at least lmfao

Here’s the issues with Loki and I used to main him. He’s extremely good in pubs and low elo rank because people don’t hard focus his decoys. However in higher ranks people will just destroy his decoys so fast he’s only 1/3 as useful. The way he is built is in such a way that his healing and damage aren’t great unless you have your other two decoys. I will say tho when all three are up you’ll be securing kills left and right
im gonna have to disagree with moonknight you can put his cross thing in some really clever spots and can output damage to their entire team because of the ricoche mechanic, not to mention his alt which can do incredible damage plus he can glide grapple hook and double jump. Penni is definitely S or A, On any map you are playing Defense and most of the capture points she's EXTREME S tier so much so that if you DON'T have one on your team and the other team does they are statistically favored to win (regardless if its ranked or not). On the offensive side of payload and 1 or 2 of the capture points that had a lot of terrain that moves and destroys her webs/mines she's A tier at best, maybe even B tier on a few sections that really don't favor an area denial game. At the very least, she's definitely better on average than Hulk.

What’s the secret to not eating pavement as Thor? His shields are weak and he hits hard with his F but he can’t have the shields and damage making him easy to catch out. I don’t do well playing as him but I also never have an issue fight off Thors. In fact I find them easy picks half the time.
Storm is interesting when paired with thor, she has a one shot on squishy, and if played with good position her damange E can hard countrr dive, as a tank main shes my go to dps, and i have hard carryied games plat-damiond but she requires so much map and position knowledge to actually become useful
Pushing for grand master solo q hopefully, I got diamond with Hela alone mainly, she is so stacked like you said, for Diamond its been tough solo q, I been using black panther and doing good but man its tough solo
I would highly recommend learning someone other than Hela as she gets banned in 99% of games in Diamond and above! Panthers definitely a good pick! If you want someone similar to Hela, Namor is pretty strong!
Im much lower ranked, but my experience from cod and Halo is that the middle and upper middle ranks are a nightmare. The swings you get in teammates are crazy, and the games are frustrating because you’re often losing for bizarre reasons. When you get towards the higher ranks though it evens out. Everyone knows what they’re doing at those levels and you can even compete with full parties.

Im praying you dont throw Wolverine on the bottom tier, ive finally figured out how to use him and hes so much fun and pretty consistent at just maintaining a steady stream of kills. If youre playing him right, you "shouldnt" die ever, especially if you have even one Specialist. I think what people do wrong with him is playing him like Venom or Hulk. Theyre expecting to be able to jump into the enemies, attract all the enemy fire and deal massive damage and still walk away. When in reality he needs to lurk around and hide behind cover and ambush Vanguard and Specialists (and if you get really good, you become a great counter for Iron Fist, Hawk Eye, Black Widow. But you gotta watch out for Spiderman, Psylocke and Scarlet Witch, they can just out speed you or out dps you unless you get the drop on them or theyre pre-weakened Edit: Okay phew, B-Tier, thank god. Interesting for Black Widow to be the D-Tier but it makes sense. I guess her usefulness is sort of skill based, how good are you at landing headshots.... Although it IS super weird her headshots dont insta-kill anything. Id understand Vanguard and maybe a few other heroes to be able to withstand the headshot but the fact that everyone can take a 50° cal to the dome is surprising to say the least. Must be shooting nerf darts or something.
Widowmaker in Overwatch is exactly the reason why Black Widow shouldn’t have a one shot. It is a similar situation as Hela currently. The game becomes a gamble on who has the better Hela, or in this case, Black Widow. The last thing this game needs is another server admin character
In the highest lobbies most three stacks are playing Hulk, Strange, Iron Man. Hulk specialists are hard to kill and create so much space for their team to get picks
I legit think Hawk is top A tier over S tier, he's map dependent and he's projectile over hitscan. He can be annoying but he's manageable. Just fix him to where he can't build charge behind cover and he'd be just fine
I’m assuming they don’t want to restrict players who are just getting into ranked as low elo don’t have as many heroes in their arsenal so if you’ve been practicing a hero in QP only for it to get banned in ranked is a bit disheartening. Outside of that, bans in every rank would be interesting
I genuinely don’t get the seasonal damage buff. I feel like people must be misunderstanding it cause it doesn’t really make sense why everyone is just getting damage buffs just for a season? Especially for my boy spidey he’s gonna be SO ASS if he does even less damage

as a jeff main Id say you can throw em in D. Heals are good but nothing special. take an absurd amount of dmg because you only eat headshots (passive helps but your still taking the most dmg in the game). fin mode is good for climbing walls and getting around but generally as an escape tool it doesnt help all to much, the hitboxes and amount of aoe allow you to be hit so easily and with no burst movement you can easily be dashed at and killed anyway by most duelists. and as far as his ult it is soooo situational, if im not within 15 meters of a ledge its useless, if I grab less than half the team its very likely ill be killed then again my ult is useless, I feel his ult is generally just a gimmick for funny clips not actually viable for most situations. in general he excels at nothing, there is nothing jeff does that another character doesnt do better :/
S is reserved for must bans. Characters who people can pop off with on their first time playing without much knowledge. Psylocke I don’t think fits that but she is definitely A++
i feel like you really underestimated groot tbh. many groot players don't really utilize their walls for the bonus health and extra damage but when they do he becomes so powerful. groot is easily the 2nd best tank imo.
Adam is S tier. Comparing him to rocket is crazy. Rocket and iron man fighting for worst hero in the game. If you gonna bring up rocket teamup adams is so much more impactful than your bd punisher not having to press R. I get it I loved guardian of the galaxy as a kid too. Luna, mantis, and adam. S tier supports. Hela, Hawkeye, and Psylocke. S tier dps. Psylocke is right up there. She is OP. Hard to argue that.
Easily Thor. can bully your way to the backline plus has high damage to contest the DPS . only problem is that his ult is doo doo and TBH Venom is just worse Hulk . Both are Dive tanks that create space plus his Ult does do good damage Hulk can basicly Clap and most character get chuncked or die

The thing with all three of them is the team comp you’re facing. Wolverine into comps with 2 or more Vanguards, especially without a Mag, is A tier, outside of that yeah he’s aggressively mid. I am talking in GM btw, lower elo might be different
People are sleeping on penny, if u have even one healer for used on you, and u are seeting your website and mines, u are unkillable, and u can move very swiftly with that web pull she has i dominate with her, can one v one almost any character and can counter almost all annoying ults and flanker, spylock or iron fist are easy prey as I web the shirt out of them and do crazy damage before they can even get to me
I think groot is low a tier. His bomb does a good amount of damage and is on a low cooldown. His ult is really good, and his walls are great. I dont think thor is better than groot at all. I think groot is definitely steonger at capturing points rather than pushing a payload though
Groot I think is a lot more map dependant than Thor which is the main reason I think he’s worse. Thor also has better peel and burst damage which is super important in the current meta. But yeah Groot ult is a million times better so on some maps he jumps up to A tier imo
Listen.. Loki just isn’t c tier . I’ve had stupid games looking like Russ with triple doubles over here 15k dmg and 18k healing. The amount of opportunities to flip the script bc you can turn into anyone and instantly have their ult is op. Especially when you go invisible and hunt the one you want. The clones to if you position them right to do 3 times the damage or on domination position the clones to cover the whole site when using the immortality ability. You need to dive into Loki and rethink your opinion dawg. Moral of the story.. Loki is low A and high A or S when Luna/mantis is on the field.
Hulk next to Magneto? That’s just propaganda. Actually think about that for a second. You’re comparing the most optimal style of play that Hulk demands, constantly moving, constantly needing to bail out of 1v1s, low MELEE damage to Magneto. Just stand still, shoot, and absorb all incoming damage.

Rocket takes the cake for me as being the least fun character to play. 90% of your gameplay is holding right click and finding out where to position yourself. Even with Rocket teamup I can't justify taking him over Luna or Mantis. Sure his healing is consistent, and the res is helpful but it is such a bore to hold right click the entire game as you just run away after being dove.
There’s an argument to put him in B depending on if your opponent is running a dive composition or if there’s a Luna in the game (which in high elo she’s banned a lot) but outside of that, hes not worth running
Disrespecting magik and a few others the only thing I could agree with is hela, mantis, and doctor strange is S-tier and black widow depending on how you use her because I seen people do crazy numbers with her
How can Jeff not be S tier just for his ult? It's not that rare that you can swallow 3+ heroes with him, and in some maps, that just mean you trade for 3 of their team, effectively winning that engage, and probably the game.
As you get up into the high elo lobbies, you rarely ever get more than 2 in your ult unless it’s combo’d with someone else. Cloak’s invis also makes it useless. The only thing Jeff is good at doing is not dying

I’ve probably seen a total of 1 good magik player in GM / Top 500. Everyone else just ints and swaps off 😂 She might be good in more organized play but after she got nerfed she’s kinda meh now

Sucks playing a healer and getting hit by the blind because during those few seconds you can't heal it can be detrimental

All three imo are map dependent. On some maps Groot is SO good, same with Peni tbh. Hulk’s team up with Iron Man / Strange is just insane rn

I’ve seen Peni go crazy when she’s well supported. Just doesn’t seem to die and wracks up loads of damage.
Penni is literally S tier. Every single game there is a penni
Penni is definitely S or A, On any map you are playing Defense and most of the capture points she's EXTREME S tier so much so that if you DON'T have one on your team and the other team does they are statistically favored to win (regardless if its ranked or not).
On the offensive side of payload and 1 or 2 of the capture points that had a lot of terrain that moves and destroys her webs/mines she's A tier at best, maybe even B tier on a few sections that really don't favor an area denial game.
At the very least, she's definitely better on average than Hulk.

@@jerrygergich9250 Well not useless but definitely not S tier... probably a B tier pusher just because if you run into a team that stalls the cart you can set up there quickly and get a hold your team can attack around (there are better pushers and better heroes though)
What’s the secret to not eating pavement as Thor? His shields are weak and he hits hard with his F but he can’t have the shields and damage making him easy to catch out. I don’t do well playing as him but I also never have an issue fight off Thors. In fact I find them easy picks half the time.
Storm is interesting when paired with thor, she has a one shot on squishy, and if played with good position her damange E can hard countrr dive, as a tank main shes my go to dps, and i have hard carryied games plat-damiond but she requires so much map and position knowledge to actually become useful
Pushing for grand master solo q hopefully, I got diamond with Hela alone mainly, she is so stacked like you said, for Diamond its been tough solo q, I been using black panther and doing good but man its tough solo
I would highly recommend learning someone other than Hela as she gets banned in 99% of games in Diamond and above! Panthers definitely a good pick! If you want someone similar to Hela, Namor is pretty strong!
Im much lower ranked, but my experience from cod and Halo is that the middle and upper middle ranks are a nightmare. The swings you get in teammates are crazy, and the games are frustrating because you’re often losing for bizarre reasons. When you get towards the higher ranks though it evens out. Everyone knows what they’re doing at those levels and you can even compete with full parties.

Im praying you dont throw Wolverine on the bottom tier, ive finally figured out how to use him and hes so much fun and pretty consistent at just maintaining a steady stream of kills. If youre playing him right, you "shouldnt" die ever, especially if you have even one Specialist.
I think what people do wrong with him is playing him like Venom or Hulk. Theyre expecting to be able to jump into the enemies, attract all the enemy fire and deal massive damage and still walk away. When in reality he needs to lurk around and hide behind cover and ambush Vanguard and Specialists (and if you get really good, you become a great counter for Iron Fist, Hawk Eye, Black Widow. But you gotta watch out for Spiderman, Psylocke and Scarlet Witch, they can just out speed you or out dps you unless you get the drop on them or theyre pre-weakened
Edit: Okay phew, B-Tier, thank god. Interesting for Black Widow to be the D-Tier but it makes sense. I guess her usefulness is sort of skill based, how good are you at landing headshots.... Although it IS super weird her headshots dont insta-kill anything. Id understand Vanguard and maybe a few other heroes to be able to withstand the headshot but the fact that everyone can take a 50° cal to the dome is surprising to say the least. Must be shooting nerf darts or something.
Widowmaker in Overwatch is exactly the reason why Black Widow shouldn’t have a one shot. It is a similar situation as Hela currently. The game becomes a gamble on who has the better Hela, or in this case, Black Widow. The last thing this game needs is another server admin character

In the highest lobbies most three stacks are playing Hulk, Strange, Iron Man. Hulk specialists are hard to kill and create so much space for their team to get picks

I legit think Hawk is top A tier over S tier, he's map dependent and he's projectile over hitscan. He can be annoying but he's manageable. Just fix him to where he can't build charge behind cover and he'd be just fine

I’m assuming they don’t want to restrict players who are just getting into ranked as low elo don’t have as many heroes in their arsenal so if you’ve been practicing a hero in QP only for it to get banned in ranked is a bit disheartening. Outside of that, bans in every rank would be interesting

I genuinely don’t get the seasonal damage buff. I feel like people must be misunderstanding it cause it doesn’t really make sense why everyone is just getting damage buffs just for a season?

as a jeff main Id say you can throw em in D. Heals are good but nothing special. take an absurd amount of dmg because you only eat headshots (passive helps but your still taking the most dmg in the game). fin mode is good for climbing walls and getting around but generally as an escape tool it doesnt help all to much, the hitboxes and amount of aoe allow you to be hit so easily and with no burst movement you can easily be dashed at and killed anyway by most duelists. and as far as his ult it is soooo situational, if im not within 15 meters of a ledge its useless, if I grab less than half the team its very likely ill be killed then again my ult is useless, I feel his ult is generally just a gimmick for funny clips not actually viable for most situations. in general he excels at nothing, there is nothing jeff does that another character doesnt do better :/

S is reserved for must bans. Characters who people can pop off with on their first time playing without much knowledge. Psylocke I don’t think fits that but she is definitely A++

Adam is S tier. Comparing him to rocket is crazy. Rocket and iron man fighting for worst hero in the game. If you gonna bring up rocket teamup adams is so much more impactful than your bd punisher not having to press R. I get it I loved guardian of the galaxy as a kid too. Luna, mantis, and adam. S tier supports. Hela, Hawkeye, and Psylocke. S tier dps. Psylocke is right up there. She is OP. Hard to argue that.

Easily Thor. can bully your way to the backline plus has high damage to contest the DPS . only problem is that his ult is doo doo and TBH Venom is just worse Hulk . Both are Dive tanks that create space plus his Ult does do good damage Hulk can basicly Clap and most character get chuncked or die

The thing with all three of them is the team comp you’re facing. Wolverine into comps with 2 or more Vanguards, especially without a Mag, is A tier, outside of that yeah he’s aggressively mid.

People are sleeping on penny, if u have even one healer for used on you, and u are seeting your website and mines, u are unkillable, and u can move very swiftly with that web pull she has i dominate with her, can one v one almost any character and can counter almost all annoying ults and flanker, spylock or iron fist are easy prey as I web the shirt out of them and do crazy damage before they can even get to me
100% agreed. I don’t play Peni, but I’ve seen her go absolutely off when she’s supported. Doesn’t seem to die and racks up the damage.

I think groot is low a tier. His bomb does a good amount of damage and is on a low cooldown. His ult is really good, and his walls are great. I dont think thor is better than groot at all. I think groot is definitely steonger at capturing points rather than pushing a payload though
Groot I think is a lot more map dependant than Thor which is the main reason I think he’s worse. Thor also has better peel and burst damage which is super important in the current meta. But yeah Groot ult is a million times better so on some maps he jumps up to A tier imo

Listen.. Loki just isn’t c tier . I’ve had stupid games looking like Russ with triple doubles over here 15k dmg and 18k healing. The amount of opportunities to flip the script bc you can turn into anyone and instantly have their ult is op. Especially when you go invisible and hunt the one you want. The clones to if you position them right to do 3 times the damage or on domination position the clones to cover the whole site when using the immortality ability. You need to dive into Loki and rethink your opinion dawg. Moral of the story.. Loki is low A and high A or S when Luna/mantis is on the field.
Hulk next to Magneto? That’s just propaganda. Actually think about that for a second. You’re comparing the most optimal style of play that Hulk demands, constantly moving, constantly needing to bail out of 1v1s, low MELEE damage to Magneto. Just stand still, shoot, and absorb all incoming damage.

Rocket takes the cake for me as being the least fun character to play. 90% of your gameplay is holding right click and finding out where to position yourself. Even with Rocket teamup I can't justify taking him over Luna or Mantis. Sure his healing is consistent, and the res is helpful but it is such a bore to hold right click the entire game as you just run away after being dove.

There’s an argument to put him in B depending on if your opponent is running a dive composition or if there’s a Luna in the game (which in high elo she’s banned a lot) but outside of that, hes not worth running

How can Jeff not be S tier just for his ult? It's not that rare that you can swallow 3+ heroes with him, and in some maps, that just mean you trade for 3 of their team, effectively winning that engage, and probably the game.
A lot of ults can team wipe without the cost of kamikaze-ing yourself. Jeff’s ult is great but not unheardly powerful
As you get up into the high elo lobbies, you rarely ever get more than 2 in your ult unless it’s combo’d with someone else.
Cloak’s invis also makes it useless. The only thing Jeff is good at doing is not dying
