- This is the first incarnation of Geese and... he's not too hard, actually. What you need to do is basically provoke him to do Reppukens and jump over them and kick him in his teeth or throw him. That's pretty much it.

@Josimite 313 It's not a 'fuck up.' It's what's known as a Y2K bug. Game's clock is reading current time, but it doesn't go beyond 1999. When it does, instead of hitting 2000, it goes to 1900

There's something hysterical about how he has 0 transition to falling, he doesn't fly off screen, he just flinched in place and then it just cuts to him falling lmao
1916 was a brutal time for combat sports. Rings were not invented, men back then wrestled in bars, tall buildings, or other urban facilities. There was no referee, the crowd would have to regulate the fight by their own power (sometimes not even). Fights would lead to lethal damage resulting in mild bleeding, broken bones, brain damage, and eye sores. There were no rules, no gloves, teeth brace, or protective pads of any kind. The opponent would be declared the loser if he died, got into a coma, or fatally passed. These were times where it was okay to kill your opponent in vengeance for a loved. Americans would wear gang clothes often red to portray power and dominance. Asians still wore traditional clothing as a sign of respect to their native country.
With all this said it would actually make sense for this game to take place in 1916.

KoF exists in a separate timeline from the original FF and AoF. While some events are the same (AoF1 still happend, just no 10 years before FF1), but some things, like Geese's death, didn't happen in KoF timeline.

There was no time travel related to him in KoF, he simply didn't die in that continuity.
In Kof the Fatal Fury timeline isn't canon.
Only some parts of it, like Geese dying. AoF1 story still happend, but around same time as Fatal Fury 1, to make AoF and Fatal Fury characters be in the same game without changing their ages.
I would prefer the AOF/Fatal Fury timeline to canon more than KOF.

The game is set in the 80s, but the game actually has a calendar function that tracks the current date. I did this video in 2016, so that's the date it should be displaying, but because the devs didn't program the calendar to go beyond 1999, it reset to 1900.

yeah the date sourcing never worked right. Not sure if it was because they never had the system clock set right, or because the code was just wonky. Either way it would toss out random dates. It was SUPPOSE to state THAT date you were beating it for the death certificate. But then again it winds up forged, or was it?!
All we know is that after falling from extreme heights TWICE he seems very much alive, and the question of the recurring nightmare people had of Howard were indeed just nightmares, or his way of reaching from beyond, and he simply came back later.
Either way it's official that a Geese Howard still walks among the world of the living.
