It is a shame comments from some people are keeping you from coming to other shows. Those people are becoming a dwindling minority. As our hobby is beginning to skew younger, and there are more who find your inks to be a unique means of expression, there are more who appreciate all you do. Your presence in some other shows would be a very positive experience for a great many people new to fountain pens. I hope you will consider expanding your presence in future years. For every person who criticizes, I’m betting you’ll touch 15 more and make an unforgettable and positive experience for them.
Agreed! Noodler's Inks make up the majority of my collection! I just bought a Triple Tail and the excitement is strong! I would love to see you at shows if it is feasible for you.
Love that Boston Safety Pen. I have the Chestnut and black version. I have had India ink in the Chestnut one for over a month....has NEVER dried up nor failed to start for me. Would love to see a transparent one get out to the main "audience" (through pen sites). Great job Nathan. Keep up the great work. Always enjoy your videos.
One of my videos put all sorts of solvents into some ebonite safety pens. Ebonite is thus VERY tough and turned out to be the perfect material for a safety pen 110 years ago as well as today, but the clear materials tend to only tolerate water based. If this comment I am posting here receives more than 40 "likes" from people who sincerely would buy a clear one in general distribution - forward it to Luxury Brands upon reaching that number and I'll have one more item on the "to do list".
@@InkNeedLastForever I have changed my pipe bits from the original hard rubber (Ebonite?) bit for bits made of Lucite. Lucite is hard on the teeth. The hard rubber oxidizes, almost immediately-ugly. Can a bit be made out of Ebonite? Thanks.
Oh! Every year the video from Nathan makes me wish I could be there! I have strong ancestral ties to the Commonwealth, but my family traded coasts long ago. I love the history, the ink, and the pens! I have wanted a demonstrator Safety pen very badly. Alas, yet again I can't do more than rue my inability to join the show!
5 years have gone by since I started my venture into fountain pens and I love every one of these videos from Nathan. I have watched and rewatched them so much the history he knows is amazing and seeing the thought process of the pens is so interesting. Also on a side note automatic watches are awesome 👌
Absolutely love the new colours and I sincerely hope we can have some in the UK. My goodness, no skipping or rail roading on the new pen even with that speed and pressure! I want to run to my office and get all my bottles of Noodlers out and play... Thank you so much for everything you have done for the fountain pen Community and for making your pens so affordable. God Bless you Sir.
Nathan I love your inks. Is there anyway possible to obtain a Boston Brahmin Eye of the Porbeagle? I’m an artist and this blue black speaks to me! I would be so very grateful.
I had a BEAUTIFUL konrad (like a blue/red Coral, I think it was called). But sadly it snapped apart (in my bag!) the next day. Thankfully the store took it back. I'll have to get another, as I really liked it for that one day. Looking forward to the new stuff! Thanks.
Yes!! I was just thinking this is Bob Ross for fp fans and nerds! So informative. I wish you were my history teacher, Mr Tardiff, I'd probably have my PhD by now!
Hi, Nathan. I’m really hoping to see the new pens and inks soon. There’s a film on Murphy that I watched with my dad when I was a kid. I would love to buy his ink and a fountain pen for my dad. This was a wonderful video, and I enjoyed it while sipping a cup of coffee. Thank you.
I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated this video. I could listen to you talk about history and pens forever! I wish I knew you, however I live waaaaay down south in Louisiana but thanks very much! I love the inks that you make and I have about 15 or so bottles, the first one being Baystate blue.🙂
If these anti feathers go into large production, may I suggest using a facsimile of a blood chit for the reverse of the label on the chennault ink for future production? I think that would be a neat historical touch
The components became costly. You are not alone in the sentiment, however. Alas, because you asked here I've written it on the wall - even if at a nasty loss...perhaps justified as a promotional show ink? Once I learned about Audie Murphy - the idea/concept of what he did and stood for never left.
@@InkNeedLastForever Even if sold at Manjiro Nakahama prices, I'd buy some! Manjiro is another one of my favorites. I am looking for a good, every day green that I don't have to worry about feathering. Audie Murphy looks about perfect! Plus, I love the history and hearing about the stories behind all your labels.

The Blue washable ink you made for the Boston Pen show is a color/ink I wish you would consider making as a production ink. I very much enjoy my Boston Safety Pen as I do all my Noodler’s pens. I would hope that Demonstrator Boston becomes a regular catalog item. Sadly what is being taught as history in schools in the past 30 to 40 years is quite pathetic between omissions and revisionism . The tremendous losses on Russian civilians and servicemen suffered on the Eastern Front in WWII is due to Nazi brutality but also due to Stalin using his people as cannon fodder as a delaying action while the Soviet Union was getting its “stuff” together building the weapons of war such as tanks, airplanes, and small arms.
