We're still a little giddy over all the amazing diamonds Andrew brought us. Did you guess the $5 million dollar gem before we did? If not, what was your guess?
You have done a range of colours for diamonds and other gems, could we please now do a video showing the what I would assume is suprisingly wide range of color golds one can obtain for jewellery. Specifically I'm personally talking about cadmium containing deep green gold
Wow! Andrew really out did himself this time! The animal collection is amazing! And the 5 million dollar green diamond is just incredible! All of them really! And that he has written a book with his animal collection friends is as priceless as the collection is, itself! What a great video and to do it live is amazing. So just how many guards were there standing off stage, outside of the cameras view? Thanks for sharing and thank you andrew! And my guess was the red diamond. But that was without a close look at them too! lol!
I recently acquired a lovely fancy deep purple heart shaped brilliant cut argyle with no colour modifier. It's times like these I'm pretty proud of my ability to appreciate fine things, I have to thank the Lord for leading me to it, the pawn shop had no idea what they were selling 🤪
I love this channel and I really enjoy the videos with Andrew! You can tell he has the passion because he doesn't just care about perfect, flawless, faceted gems. He literally has them all!
It's crazy how the colours diamonds cost so much, before 20-30 years they costs nothing except the pink or other big colour pieces but the most of them the dealer's give it as a gift when you buy big quantity of white diamonds
Wow amazing fancy diamond collections and very lovely to have opportunity to see the "Animal Shape" diamond rough it's extremly rare.. Thank you Andrew and Rebecca to show us beautiful and rare collections of diamond. Greeting from Indonesia
I’ve recently become fascinated my gemstones, this my my favorite channel for anything gemstones. Those star shaped diamonds are so cool, that’s make a really unique ring or necklace
Simply Orange? nope SIMPLY STUNNING!!! Yes I picked the green! then the orange. I would love to meet the lapidarist who cut these beautiful pieces! Just a thought.
The 5mil. blue-green diamond definitely takes the cake. The pink one while being unique and interesting, just does not do it for me. The carbonado diamonds are kewl too.
Would the "impact diamonds" possibly be Lonsdaleite? I was under the impression that they would most likely be Lonsdaleite, however, I haven't purchased any to test for personal confirmation.
I'm honestly not a fan of diamonds. Diamond mining involves a lot of questionable things. Habitat destruction and pollution, violence ect, especially with independent miners which a majority aren't regulated. Alot of companies don't even know where theirs come from,Obviously not all, but most. Opal is my favourite. I've had a few pieces made from an artist who makes amazing jewelry. Fun video though, it's great to see you get so excited!
I feel like lab grown diamonds will eventually take and flood the market. Who knows if natural diamonds can compete since it will require paper work and test to separate a natural vs synthetic which is tedious. I feel like diamond companies are going to have to somehow convince the consumers naturals are better ,how they will do it i have no idea.
@Kahel Diamante yes but the difference now is the capacity, quality and size they can make now with new technology instead of trying to make a dupe they can recreate any stone flawlessly and every bit as expensive. Am seeing it everywhere labgrown gems now fill the cases at jewelry stores and for half the price than buying a natural when the regular human eye can't tell them apart. The truth is all natural gems have are that their "natural" which is only going to last so long with mines being shutdown and producing gems in a lab is much more eco-friendly and cheaper for companies
When my late wife was married to her first husband she had a 3 carat, yellow, marquis cut diamond ring. Can't help but wonder at its current value, and where it might be these days.
I was just wondering if diamond panes were a possibility. and then suddenly handsome Andrew answers my question. at least I think he did. spaceship windows right? oh heck how am I supposed to know exactly what words are coming out of his mouth when my eyes work as good as they do. p.s. I swear I subscribed to this channel for educational purposes.... I swear..
Question. I really can't afford to do a GEM-A or GIA education (especially as I'm not sure if in my 40s I'd get a good career out of it). Do you know if IGI courses are any good? They are way more affordable. Thanks
Suggestion to increase viewer enjoyment: it's really hard to see the specimens while you're handling them especially since the cameras focus on the container's lid and not the specimens themselves and the few closeup shots at the end don't let us enjoy all the little things you're enjoying for the ones that don't get closeups. Could you guys do closeups for more specimens and have them in a corner of your videos so we can still see your faces and reactions, but also actually see the specimens while you talk about them? Just a suggestion. I'll still watch your videos cuz I'm curious and you guys are fun to watch, but I often get a bit disappointed that I have no idea what you're seeing while you talk about them.
Since we can fairly easily create flawless diamonds of any color in laboratories. Natural diamonds are not necessary to mine. Diamond factories should soon put de beers out of business.
We used to sell them for around $50 - $60/ carat, but recent supply shortages have shot their price up. The last batch that was offered to me would have cost me $400/ct!!!

If the brown is cognac, I’m pinning $5-million on the brown gem. Also, I’d like to mega-million the yellow if it’s canary 💎 💛🧸💝💕

I'm not a huge diamond person but that 5 mill blue-green is incredible! I also loved seeing the animal collection. That was so fun!
It’s so tiny. I couldn’t guess it… However, I tried 🥹❤

There definitely was security there, but everyone was more laidback than you might expect with all those gems out on the table

Seeing all the value on the table, I had a question, maybe if you guys ever do a Q&A, has there ever been a theft at your business?
Thankfully only a minor one. Thank you for watching!!!
