There is no way you are saying a team who has won 4 leagues in a row have an issue with mentality, maybe they are just burnt out, they had a similar season in 19/20
To blow a 3 goal lead in 15 minutes. 5 defeats in a row suggests otherwise. Plus Pep’s reaction when they conceded the first goal tells you he was worried for his team’s mentality
Absolutely zero got to do with mentality. There players are not able to get around the pitch like they used too it's as simple as that. They don't have players that can press like Liverpool. Most of city's players are all the same technically brilliant but not good off the ball. They used to get away with it but not this season as it's the toughest ever season with the most games ever.
Spot on mate Liverpool had this exact problem a few years back and even the odd braindead Liverpool fan was blaming Klopp saying sack him. The minute they replaced the washed up players like Henderson Milner Fabinho they started competing again.
@theblues8840 Finally someone who can see this with me. City are on a massive decline and it's no coincidence there conceding goals late on like last night and against Spurs and Brighton. Do you want to know the reason? It's because there a seriously unfit team now compared to the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal. If your a betting man just keep backing against City after 60mins this season you will win the price of a new car. Not 1 city player can get through the work a Diaz,Szoboszlai,Nunez or Jones does for Liverpool and that is the simple truth. City are finished now and it's not going to change. I'd be surprised they finish top 4 as Arsenal,Spurs,Chelsea and Liverpool have players who can run all day.
Rodri kept this group focused and together. Pep never ever had to struggle as every team he got was already a champion or had been recently. Unlike Sir Alex who had to take a poor team and turned them into a dynasty. Now we see the true character of Man City and Pep. They won titles due to cheating and spending Arab money.
Turned Grelish into a fantastic player? Really? Jack only improved his trophy cabinet and bank balance since going to City, why do these mugs act like he's gotten better? He cost 100 million FFS and Arteta spent 780 million stop rounding down and making excuses for the Lego headed bottle job
Pep needs world beaters for his system..he should stop buying the decent players just to fit his system.. Becuz there comes a time when individual brilliance is needed, but there's none..
Yeah mate silk sheets are the reason, not the fact they’re missing the best player in the world and replaced him with a lightweight RB who’s not a CDM.
I HATE Liverpool. As a Newcastle fan, during the 95/96 season, we were cruising to the Title. However, we always knew United were on our tails. Who's on Liverpool's tails! City? Arsenal? Don't think so!
The title days success has taken its toll. It really hasn't. Their owners can't spend money due to the 115 cheaters charges, so this fraud has to learn to manage injuries that he's never had in his entire career.
Every team in the history of football gets worse when you replace key players with a worse one. Every season the fans of whichever club that has the most injuries complain about them because it makes them worse. Then they’re told “everyone gets injuries get on with it” until it’s their clubs turn for an injury crisis. People need to just accept that swapping a player for a worse one makes a team worse, it’s bloody obvious.
They will not find players like before… there isn’t many talented players right now… they will face the same problems like United… there isn’t much in the market for the past 5 years
Tennis players play way more than football players and the strain that stop start sprinting does on the body is alot heavier than a 90 minute football match. Stop banging on about fatigue and burnt out they play at worst 3 hours of football a week. 3 hours out of 168 can we stop with this whole oh but there tired they are supposed to be athletes there are people who hit the gym hard 7 days a week for 40 years of there life never taking a day off
Love Pep but his hubris, arrogance and intransigence is killing City. When he realizes this and adapts his tactics to the players he has instead of playing tactics to the players he thinks he has, then the bleeding could stop. Until then, more of the same
No tactics are going to cover playing a kid who’s not good enough. It’s harsh for the kid but City only fell off once they got injuries and replaced key players with one who’s not good enough. No amount of tactics can spawn fit CB’s and a CDM, City literally have 1 striker and 1 CDM at the club…
@@theblues8840 I’m speaking within the current context of where the club is and not the poor transfer strategies that helped facilitate this mess (of which I agree 100% with you). My point is, the tactics Pep is playing cannot be executed by the players he has to the degree needed to be successful. He did this last season with the stupid high backline and wingback system. Gvardiol only came good in the last few games of the season ans Walker was a nightmare all season He’s doing it again now. We’re leaking goals at an unprecedented rate while playing a super high backline with only 3 defenders while inverting at least 1. Pep should at a min, drop the line back and play a back 4 to fortify the defense to stop leaking goals. He’s got the players to do it and it’s literally going back to basics. Problem is, I think Pep is too stubborn and even arrogant to do it bc then it would mean admitting his tactics were wrong. Also, with a stronger defense that isn’t letting in as many goals simply bc you have more coverage, that might even help with the confidence levels of the other players bc they may not be thinking about not making a mistake which could lead to a goal under the current circumstances. That could change with a fortified defensive structure. All this means nothing if Pep continues doing the same and expecting a different outcome. All up to Pep at least in the short term
@@MCFCTheMadHatter I think Pep will adapt once he gets his defenders back fit but while City’s best right back is Walker that’s a problem whether they play a high line or not, I agree he’s been poor for a while now.
@@theblues8840 He’s been a liability since last season so agree there. However, I think it’s fair to say that playing a high backline is risky no? That you should only play that with a solid defense and solid midfield right? We currently have neither and yet Pep continues to play with that high line. So wouldn’t stand to reason then to drop the line back a bit? Go to a back 4 (more conservative) than 4 and inverting 1 (more aggressive)? I don’t care if we have to park the bus like RM did to get a win. There’s no room for pride in our current situation. Accept where we are, plan accordingly to secure a win and at least not give games away as we have been doing, no?
My boyfriend tried to surprise me with a candlelit dinner. It was lovely until the cat decided to investigate and nearly singed his tail on the flames. Romantic, with a side of fur-scented ambiance💋

Doku, savinho, grealish, foden.... 1goal in the premier league.
This donut said Pep turned Grealish into a better player, Cap🧢At Villa he was 1000 times better

the whole team is going through a trial, the injuries are stackign up, its extreme pressure
City’s success blinded Pep from realising some players are in need of replacing, walker, KDB, silva, and ederson should have been moved on by now.
And not buying a past it Gundagun
@@codywatson770 he was a free transfer. But yeh, he’s definitely past it.
No just 2 signings in summer and a fit Rodri
Man City need Michael Oliver for each game. He'll make sure they win.
There is no way you are saying a team who has won 4 leagues in a row have an issue with mentality, maybe they are just burnt out, they had a similar season in 19/20
The big difference is there is no pace in the defense and no pace in midfield so they are getting done by easy passes that by pass the midfield

Over inflated prices for average squad players wouldn’t help either. They will struggle.
Don't over egg this pudding it is a slump and November doesn't matter March - May does
November does matter. You can win every game between March - May, but if you’re too far behind by then, you’re not winning the league
