That’s an easy assessment after seeing the results. I guess the time that it took for Arne’s predecessor to built a team and create a structure doesn’t come to Arne benefit because he already found all the basis of a winning club, something you can’t find in ManU. If Amorim gets a final Top 6 result this year is way waaay bigger achievement than Arne winning the League.
@@mariosantos2571one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. A manager winning the league in his first year of appointment in a league where man city has dominated for 4 years is way more impressive. Man united isn't close to top 6 anyways.
So it ends Ipswich Town 1-1 Manchester United in Ruben Amorim’s first game incharge as Man United head coach/manager. Well there are positives and negatives. Positives are that I saw some good stuff like our goal and the build up to it from the back to the front with some good passing and movement as Amad ran down the wing with pace/purpose and put in a cross as Rashford scored with a tap in; we looked good in parts and bits when it came to moving the ball and passing it at the back and had some decent moments. Now the negatives are that we are still not keeping the ball well as there’s no sustained possession/attacks, midfield gaps are still there, and bad decisions making when going forward/attacking as we’re overthinking it. So it was an okay performance but still need to improve as we saw it today in the performance of the team as this is a work in progress and will take time. Hopefully we get to see Ugarte in the midfield soon alongside Cas. We move on BUT AS ALWAYS COME ON YOU RED DEVILS👏👏♥️♥️♥️🔥
Do you agree that MU have a penchant for buying exotic names for shirt sales rather than accomplished players who can make a significance diffeerence to the playing poyential of the team.
Never ceases to amaze me that in 2024, Pundits still think that United should outplay and outscore all others. There is quality in this United Team, its just that all others have caught up. When when oh when will people realise that?
I feel united don't need a system but just team chemistry. I bet if Rud Vanisteroy had handled the match, we might have won it after scoring the first goal. Amorim should just try to manage the squad until the end of the season, then start trying to implement his system after because a few bad results, and he will also start to feel the pressure like ETH
He openly adressed it: not sorting things now and next year you’ll be in the same spot. You need to access who are the players that still have in them what it needs to make ManU get right on top, in a system and a team that instills respect on his opponents every single weak, a team that has bench players that come out when need and perform.
It wasn’t as easy as on paper. Kieran McKenna is a manager that knows the team’s weaknesses well. And Amorim hasn’t had the opportunity to work with most of his players yet.
No one appoints of the main issues that Ruben very well has pointed as one of the most hard handicaps that the team reveals right now. A top quality time, shouldn't lose balls the way that Man Utd does. Yesterday after starting the game winning we start to see some lads with great technical skills give the ball away easily as they can get. I counted for instance Casemiro,...25 passes along is on pitch and he only completed 16 (more than 40% of dreadful passes) so he fail something like 9 passes and that at this level isn't simply acceptable.. Tell me just one top level midfielder around the best leagues in Europe that fail so many passes. Pressure...the left side of Man Utd such as Evans or Dalot didn't hard pressure whenever they don't have the ball? This isn't a coach problem but players with so many wrong conceptions on the way they play that hardly Amorim can still count with this two guys. Eriksen playing at turtle pace, not attacking, not covering over midfield, not helping on defensive coverage. This guy is a danish international with high skills and he plays rubbish, as if he lost the grip of being a top class team player. Amorim Said that they spent a lot of time thinking about what they should do and my opinion is that some guys such as Evans; Dalot; Eriksen; Casemiro and so on, definitely they haven't quality to be on Man Utd. Other thing that confuses me is that on defensive work whenever ball gets lose after opponent crosses or bad passes, the guy on Man Utd that get that rebounds, simply kick it away the ball without any criteria or without having the possession to start the attacking momentum from the back and evolving the team on the construction...yesterday I have counted at least five non sense rebound kicks (you couldn't call it even passes attempted, 'cause literary the guy that get that kind of rebounds simply kick the ball away without any criteria even when they don't have direct or strong pressure by the opponents. So what Amorim find yesterday is truly a horror show. High skill players that doesn't now to apply simple principles on tactical disposal (obviously Amorim cannot say and expose that frailty on the Man Utd group, but probably tonight he hasn't got a good night of sleep, after understand that some players don't have the intelligence to understand some of the most simple moves over the tactics in modern football. As Amorim said it is much more than playing 3-4-4; 4-4-2 or whatever is the tactics that you adopt. First lesson; having the ball takes the ball from you opponent and on defensive momentum you cut spaces of your opponent and on attacking momentum you get the conditions that allow you to get danger over your opponent defense and if you behave as a block when you are defending you cut your opponents ways to goal and when you attack as a block, you create progression both by the wings, on central and inner game and even having options to outer shots at goal. To pressure you must have your team blocks playing narrow to each other and to start pressure the mindset of guys such as Garnacho or Rashfors has to improve from night to daytime...when they lose balls they simply don't get back to the midfielders block and work hard to stop the first phase on the construction of your opponent Second, the midfielders and mostly the ones that play on the central areas of midfield shouldn't lose 40% of passes during the game and mostly instead of trying to impose a vertigo pace and flanking long passes to areas where you don't have the sufficient number players to start to evolve and progress where mostly of the team will going to be unbalanced both on attacking and defensive process (if you lose the ball). So the midfielders should keep possession and the team attack as a block and recover fast and start to get high pressure to the opponent on the defensive momentum. Third, Amorim soon will be on a position when he has to take severe decisions over some players future on Man Utd. and yesterday was very clear that at least 50% of the guys that get on the pitch (both on starting eleven as on replacement) simply doesn't have what is needed to play in a giant as Man. Utd. Even on the first year on Sporting Portugal, some players that doesn't have the reputation of some Man.Utd "stars" pretty soon understand the position and both the attacking and defensive momentum they should assume during a match and dreadfully yesterday I notice that at least Man Utd has three to four "stars" on the starting eleven, than worst of having lack of confidence are simply so overrated and so vain and self confident over a "handful of nothing" that instead of being on Man Utd. they full worth to be as simple non-league players (both technical and on mentality) and Amorim should have the courage and the self strong belief to throw out all the crap that the present rooster of the club presents.
The level of disrespect from Sky is staggering; First they send Gary Cotterill to a press conference in PORTUGAL where Amorim was managing a PORTUGESE team and he demands Amorim speaks English. Then this utter fiasco with Ed Sheeran, who has absolutely no business getting involved in the managers post-match interview. Sky pride themselves of being cutting edge and professional but both instances make them look like a fifth rate fan channel of absolute amateurs.
Every one should know that utd are still average. You can not expect utd to change sensationally in one week under Amorin.Emotions are high, but patience is the key.
Why changing players when the club can still sell a lot of souvenirs including team jerseys. As long as Utd fans don't switch teams, nothing needs to be changed. Business's still good, isn't it?
It was same old same old. After the first goal the United players were having another stroll in the park. The United players especially Rashford think that running and chasing the ball is too menial for great players like themselves. Amorim will do himself a lot of favor if he plays the under 21 instead.
Definitely Ruud would have won this match easily, But what United need is beyond just winning a match, don't forget TenHag won this same team 3 goals to nill last season, but overall we are poor in all aspect. So, what we need is identity and I believe Amoring will give us that.
Amorim is building a system. Ruud might've won this match, but the club needs a working system that places them on top of the table eventually. The players either adapt or get the boot
The system will be hard to implement with garbage passers in the back like De Light and Evans, Lindelof, Maguire who always been to scared to pass the ball forward and played sideways passes all the time. The midfields need to drop down to collect the ball because of these donkey passers we have in this team. This was also among the big factor why Ten Hag's system failed miserably.
Grow a pair, Reuben. Take the captaincy away from Fernandes and roll it amongst players in the squad until a real leader arrives. Also, fire Fernandes and Rashford on the bench and bring in players who are emotionally reliable and who are accountable to their teammates and the club. Enough of this garbage play and disrespectful behaviour.

Ipswich played with far more desire, considering our lads shouldve been trying to impress the new manager. Different manager, same problems...same players causing issues. Our front line is awful. Cant hold a ball, pressure defenders, terrible end product and inexplicably loose it cheaply. Im hard on rashford, justifably, but garnacho, hojlund, zirkzee arent good enough...maybe as squad players. Players like dalot seem to get away with being shite too. No excuse that he's playing left side. A good number of these players have got managers the sack, a lot not good enough, not enough work rate throughout...Amad looks technically good and dangerous...we need him further forward. I hope this manager is brave enough to get rid / bench some of these players that, somehow, people think are good. Otherwise they'll see him gone too
Why do people collate news that's already happened, and then at the end make us listen to/watch them play video games. It's such a strange world today.
As a Liverpool fan myself i appraise Roy for being frank and honest. You moaning about him not being a good manager with Ipswich is irrelevant but exposed you are a far leftist .
8:11 Amorim must have gone mad when he saw this, about 30 seconds left and instead of just booting the ball into the box where anything could happen, they were making side passes at the back line 😂. That was just pathetic and kind of sums up the mentality of the squad.

It should be a winning game for United. But Ipswich seem to be dominating. At least it's balanced. Ruud started with a win over Leicester. Amorim should be possible. But yeah let's see.
Lol its not rocket science! Got nothing to do with attitude and character, he played evans, casemiro and eriksen down the spine of the team. That lineup had no legs! It was a poor team selection, if amorim doesnt wise up to the intensity of the premier league quickly he will not last long.

@@SPECTTRE13we never offered him anything. Manc boy
@@mariosantos2571one of the dumbest statements I've ever heard. A manager winning the league in his first year of appointment in a league where man city has dominated for 4 years is way more impressive. Man united isn't close to top 6 anyways.

I love how everyone bitched about the guy who asked Garnacho to pass better , yet today he missed key passes yet AGAIN
It will take 2 to 3 years for Amorim to bring Man Utd to the top. Be patient. You will see a revolution in due time.
Roy Keane only one that talks sense others there why are they there?
DEI 🎉
Do you agree that MU have a penchant for buying exotic names for shirt sales rather than accomplished players who can make a significance diffeerence to the playing poyential of the team.
They better send that Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra to the 2nd team!
But but but the bicycle kick
Not before that traitor Bruno goes
New manager same result... United will always be United
Mangers are never the problem it's the players totally unprofessional
Pep doesn’t like your post…
Never ceases to amaze me that in 2024, Pundits still think that United should outplay and outscore all others. There is quality in this United Team, its just that all others have caught up. When when oh when will people realise that?
As long as they keep doing that a rebuild cant be done well, this is also the reason why the drop off has already taken so many years.
It just shows how useless these players that are paid millions are… not understanding the basic or when to do the most simple things is bonkers
Bruno isn't as good as we think rashford is lazy
So true. Bruno is overrated
@@dwanecampbell4932 You guys are so wrong, the man eats grass!
They dont need nothing they are perfect
United were outplayed by Ipswich Roben has an impossible task ahead of him .
To pressure you must have your team blocks playing narrow to each other and to start pressure the mindset of guys such as Garnacho or Rashfors has to improve from night to daytime...when they lose balls they simply don't get back to the midfielders block and work hard to stop the first phase on the construction of your opponent
Second, the midfielders and mostly the ones that play on the central areas of midfield shouldn't lose 40% of passes during the game and mostly instead of trying to impose a vertigo pace and flanking long passes to areas where you don't have the sufficient number players to start to evolve and progress where mostly of the team will going to be unbalanced both on attacking and defensive process (if you lose the ball).
Remember that this Ipswich manager knows these United players better than Amorim does.
Got to give him plenty of time cos he's got a job on his hands.and the players have to pull their weight as well.
Every one should know that utd are still average. You can not expect utd to change sensationally in one week under Amorin.Emotions are high, but patience is the key.
One of another most important weekend game....😂😂😂..now wait next week also another most important game 🤣🤣🤣
Why changing players when the club can still sell a lot of souvenirs including team jerseys. As long as Utd fans don't switch teams, nothing needs to be changed. Business's still good, isn't it?
Pep agrees.
It was same old same old. After the first goal the United players were having another stroll in the park. The United players especially Rashford think that running and chasing the ball is too menial for great players like themselves. Amorim will do himself a lot of favor if he plays the under 21 instead.
The question now is would ruud had won that game in charge !
Yesss.. watch d play part pattern
Definitely Ruud would have won this match easily, But what United need is beyond just winning a match, don't forget TenHag won this same team 3 goals to nill last season, but overall we are poor in all aspect. So, what we need is identity and I believe Amoring will give us that.
Maybe who knows
Amorim is building a system. Ruud might've won this match, but the club needs a working system that places them on top of the table eventually. The players either adapt or get the boot
@@haroonraja6276 Ruud will win that game today

Amorim got a reality check.
Media in his face , he has a lot to get used to. ETH to his credit never minded filling his media comitments.
His reality check is apparently a couple of training sessions with the full squad after the NT break and his first game...
@@SpireUtdso maybe he should become a pundit instead…
@@mariosantos2571 I think Erik could upset United in the future. ⚽ 🏆 🏆 ⚽
Ipwich beat Tottenham whats your point
The system will be hard to implement with garbage passers in the back like De Light and Evans, Lindelof, Maguire who always been to scared to pass the ball forward and played sideways passes all the time. The midfields need to drop down to collect the ball because of these donkey passers we have in this team. This was also among the big factor why Ten Hag's system failed miserably.
You need a whole new squad
Grow a pair, Reuben. Take the captaincy away from Fernandes and roll it amongst players in the squad until a real leader arrives. Also, fire Fernandes and Rashford on the bench and bring in players who are emotionally reliable and who are accountable to their teammates and the club. Enough of this garbage play and disrespectful behaviour.
Bruno Fernandes is the ONLY One who have saving Manchester United. Without Bruno, would be a shame, a total disaster.
@@vitorsarmento6380 That's rubbish. United are worse with him in the side.
He's a liability on defence. Statistically, his pressing is poor, almost never puts the opposition under any real pressure, and rarely creates a turnover.
He is statistically one of the most likely creative midfielders in the PL to turn the ball over and his assist-to-turnover ratio is poor.
He is positionally irresponsible and leaves gaping holes in midfield and never takes on a difficult assignment when tracking back.
It is absolutely amazing if his corners make it past the first defender. When they do, they are sky-high and everyone is standing around waiting for the ball to descent; far too predictable.
He can score a penalty (the source of the majority of his goals) but he robs United's strikers of the opportunity to build confidence from the spot in order to pad his stats- not a very intelligent move for a captain.
He cannot assist a United no 9. He had Ronaldo (1 Assist), Cavani, Weghorst, Rashford, Hojlund, Hugill, Greenwood, Martial, Elanga, and whoever else. He simply cannot play a ball through the middle to match their runs. It's ridiculous.
He runs around a lot and assists the occasional goal but he's a disaster. Plus, he scapegoats his own players when he makes mistakes. This doesn't earn teammates' respect.
