- Motorola has been besting themselves with every new phone they are launching. The Moto Edge 50 pro is good in many ways but I think they have really improved their camera system this time. And under ₹30,000 this is probably the most durable smartphone that comes with IP 68 water adn dust resistance and this time it comes with 125W wired charging and 50W wireless charging!

Motorola was already offering banger phones under 30k but this one fixed two of their biggest issues- software support and camera. A 5000mAH battery would've made it even better!
They are still working on updates apparently. Thats the biggest issue apart from a fragile curved screen. Would have bought it right away had it been a flat screen tbh.

battery life is my main concern, reviews online are showing abt 6-6.5 hrs sot thats good for now but down the road with battery degradation idk man, i think its worse battery life comparing it to other phones in this segment
@@drainenjoyer I agree tbh. They should've gone for 5000mAh. Would've been much better for the long run. But my Nothing Phone(2) has a 4700mAh battery and it gives me 8+ hours of SoT. No idea if Motorola can achieve this same level of optimization.
At least a 5000mah battery and it would have sold like hot cakes.
But it charges at 125 watts, and this stock Android is very power efficient💀
@@sattyamsingh4410 it charges quick. No doubts about it. Had it not been stock, I would have said 5500 mah. I prefer 5000 because it's stock.
OnePlus has 5500 mah despite being very power efficient.
It's like a cheaper s23 fe (similar usps) except better fast charging on Motorola.

For the first time they have used sony sensors and that's why the improvement in pictures.
What to do to make the screen safer?
really look forward to adding it it to the shopping cart, buy there's one thing that bothers me is i have been a one plus user for more than 4 years and the alert slider is something i cannot afford to lose, so is there a way i can put that widget on the AOD to toggle between silence, vibrate and ring?

In India you are so lucky! Edge 50 Pro was launced in European Union today at a very high price 699 Euros = 62100 rupees‼🫣😱 PS. It's the 12/512 gb version here only, otherwise same phone same specs same 125W charger in the box BUT no case here in EU. In India at your price I would buy it immediately.

@@hahahap9844 still there's no reason to watch 4k video on 1080p unless you're a dumb person. 1080p gives the maximum results on 1080p phones. I've used the OnePlus 11 with 2k display and can't even figure out the pixel differences when compared to a normal 1080p screen. You're a spec sheet warrior bro 🥴

What is the frequency of Security Patch Updates? Monthly, Bimonthly or Quarterly?
That's an interesting point. Moto is actually known for issuing these patches (and androidupgrades) slightly delayed. But the frequency information is not known to me at the moment, so I'm afraid, I can't reply to that with confidence.

Moto has done a great job this time. I am highly impressed by how they are trying to build their own ecosystem. This is something google should be working rather then the brands. If google could make their apps and android easily compatible with windows it would be a game changer for android. I personally use samsung for their ecosystem and since samsung also locks into their ecosystem I would love if google makes something like universal control for windows. Make apps switch between windows and android. Microsoft is working on their end very well with their phone link app but without the support of google it would not work the way apple ecosystem work. By the thanks google for bringing quick share to windows.

More performance, better cameras and much more reliable software.
Nothing OS is no doubt, very smooth, but that's not enough.
This is almost perfect! But i would easily exchange the wireless charging and the 125 watt charger for UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5X ram
Lpddr 5x RAM in this price segment is difficult. Though that ufs 3.1 would have been sweet.
Its UFS 2.2 storage is a high quality one and almost equals UFS 3.1.

I may not be able to do a video, but I'm here to answer.
These are entirely two different phones belonging to two different ecosystems. Both photos and videos on the iPhone 15 will be better. But that's about it.
Rest, if you are already on Android and don't care too much about photos and videos, you'll be better off with superior performance, faster and smoother displays on the OP 12. The OnePlus 12 cameras aren't bad, but they are definitely not as good as iPhone 15.
In years past the Pro is the equivalent to the Edge Plus in the US why does this years Pro have a 7th gen and not an 8th Gen Processor?

Edge 40 had similar reviews..yet i would not recommend it after just 1 year..it got outdated too quickly..edge 50 pro might end up same..when software and ai features become priority next year..motorola is always behind..
Nobody actually talking about the lag between the click n picture being processed...we get scary stuff of half processed photos on quick clicks.

The thing that concerns me more than LPddr4X +Ufs 2.2 is moto's update cycle. Edge 40 ultra is still stuck at A13
This phone's 2.2 performs better than other brands 3.1... and i guess you were talking about edge 30 ultra as there was no 40 ultra, in India moto has started rolling Android 14 update for moto g84, and soon other phones will receive the update
I don't understand why people are so crazy about the updates.
Moto edge 50 Pro comes with the latest Android 14. At least use it. Enjoy it.
Let the Android 15 get released in August.
Moto does take quite a bit more time than the other OEMs and that can definitely be a feedback to the brand but the way people are so crazy about updates is so funny.

It gets warm, for sure. But not too hot. It will also depend on the heat levels around you. Even my flagship phone gets warm in hot temperatures

They've had their own for years. The screen shown just before he talks about lock screen clocks and notifications is their Always On Display. That's more or less what my Moto G Power (2020) looked like (slight differences due to it running Android 10).

Using edge 30 pro for about a year now, Won't recomend. Nice phone if you wish very light usage moderate usage skip and heavy usage is a big no no. It's really smoothe and fast and fluid, for the first 30 sec, If you want to multitask it will overheat like mad. Not usable. Trash camera,but Gcam makes is decent. 7 on 10 G cam if I am being generous.

@@rohan11x_ SOT is about 5 hours if I am not wrong, due to overheating the battery performance goes down, if you have light to moderate usage, then you will be getting about 6 hrs of SOT.
