Am using Motorola edge 30 for last 2 years, its a decent device which serves my purpose. Though i am not a Gamer Moto UI is good one without any adware and junks. Its true that security updates are slow but stable, I do recommend Motorola to my friends. And finally am interested to buy this Edge 50 pro in next few months
I'm also using E30 but going to 50 pro will be a downgrade in terms of storage as it has ufs 2.2 😢

Can't beleive there are people crying about delayed security updates by Motorola and calling it a deal breaker.
Most people don't even know about the updates and what it fixed.

As a senior dev myself, I think critical security updates are important. Android updates, not so much!

I always get satisfied when I watch a Geekyranjit review. He covers almost every cornor of the phone in detail.
That's a really good phone and great camera (I think videos could be improved). As for updates they've been giving proper security patches without bugs in g42 ( that's the only one I know from personal experience rather than assuming the updates to be delayed).
Edge 40 pro and 30 pro haven't even received the Android 14 update yet, sadly.

It's a wrong perception I would say. Yes, Motorola is slow in updates. Still I would take a stable update over crappy updates any day even if it comes slow. Have been using moto phones for 7+ years now - never had an issue in the phone with updates from Motorola.

In fact based on the previous review i opted for the moto edge 30 pro it's really a very good device .
My only worry is by adding more wattage to the fast charger will the battery performance be deteriorated
Motorola is launching good smartphones but they need to work on few things to be the 1st option for customers:
1. Timely updates for handsets
2. Improve camera quality (for older smartphones as well)
3. Improve the accessories availability. It is very very difficult to get a good quality screen guard/tempered glass and back case for Moto phones. Even the popular models like Edge 40 and Edge 40 Neo do have tempered glass/cases available on well known websites.
Their phone cases are almost non existing,it is almost impossible to find a good back cover for moto phones which is bad imo.
Motorola should fix this because the backcover in the packaging is realy not that good,when your phone falls on the screen your screen wil be damaged,no protection at all

Hello Ranjit Sir, I am a long-term subscriber of yours, I like your simple way of making videos, plz do unboxing like earlier you did, don't open the box and use the device, your old style of dabba khol unboxing was really good & minimalist, no other things, sample and cinematic shots.
Love the pics and video India looks beautiful would love to go there one day . Motorola produce great smartphones it the lack of updates would put people off owning them . I wish they would change the updates

I would really consider buying this phone myself, but only after seeing Motorola's performance on updates. I have Moto Edge 30 in my family, which has still not received the Android 14 update

Motorola is best in term of giving software update as it does not provide bugs !! Using from past 10 years and didn't noticed bugs in their any device or in any software update !! They provide software update with proper testing !!

I am using motorola edge 20 pro since launch 2021. Had changed display localy but still works smooth. No complains. Worth waiting for updates. Keep it up Motorola. Will eye on Moto 7 or 9 will atill use 1 or 2 years motorola edge 20 pro.

Motorola has been doing some good work now and they are bringing some really good devices at very competitive price. I, myself, am using Edge 40. They still need to really improve their software update situation. These A14 and the software features should tickle down to other Edge series phones as well and asap. They need to provide these accessories whether wall chargers or the cases on their website or marketplaces as well. Finding a good screen protection for a curved screen is really tough.
Moto is owned by pc giants Lenovo
It has been with Lenovo for a long time now. Still it has took time to come at this point. Besides they really need to up their software game and then they will be almost perfect.

Listening to users in one thing and actually giving the update well within time is second. Sadly, Motorola is lagging with timely updates.
Storage is UFS 2.2, they are not even providing 3.1 and I beleive thats the only negative aspect, but it is quite a major factor as it affects day to day usage.
How does it affect day to day usage? Wouldn't it affect only file transfer speeds? Most users dont transfer files.

I loved how consistent the exposure and white balance were in the video when switching between the three lenses. A couple of months ago I was going ga ga over the OP12 and then I saw its video recording capability, and that was a deal breaker for me. I know that this phone is half that price and certainly not that capable but its video recording capability appears to be better.

I don't really prioritize camera so im gonna go with oneplus nord ce 4,ufs 3.1 storage,5500mah battery and 25k price closes the deal for me over moto.
ce 4 will give you a horrible experience. See videos about its UI, there's no animation at all. That old 1+ is dead after the oppo takeover
It is good news for most of us with a tight budget. Still miss the days when we could get S3 or a One X for around 30K (had both of them, back in the day). However I wish that like LG - Motorola would start giving the option for raw capture.
Ready for , feature is really what made me interested in Motorola phones. A feature that's its been not talked about enough. You get a pc, a laptop, a pop up presenter\conference call, gaming console device for less than 400€

How is the video stabilization in fast paced recording? In case you record something while riding or driving or while running, is the video stable or not?

Lack of timely updates plus no post update issue support makes it a deal breaker. Motorola doesn't focus on after sales service and software update. It is nowhere close to Nothing's feedback support which I think is one of the best in Android.
OnePlus too would be the nice option, OnePlus Nord CE 4

@@lonwulf5246. I have Nothing Phone 1. No display issue so far. Battery drain has been fixed with Nothing OS 2.5.3A update. Phone runs as smooth as it used to run.
Lol I had to exchange Moto G40 fusion with phone 2a because of ghost touches in the device post Android 12 update. It got only 1 update for A12 and security patch for 2 yrs.

50 watt wireless charging it's more than useful for those who use this system and for the battery they could increase by compromising weight and handfeel and that UFS 3.1 storage lack is covered by that pretty decent camera setup 🫤
Yes, giving 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging is really not a good move from moto. Would have been great if they had given 3.1 storage type for the price they're launching as there are many other brands providing 3.1 storage for the same or even less price range.

A dissatisfied Moto edge 40 neo user here. Quarterly updates with no improvements in saturated camera, new moto apps installed in update which can't be uninstalled, yet to receive android 14. Go with nothing. 😔

Good balanced phone for the price. I hope the moto has improved the speed of security updates if not Android. UI and camera improvements look nice. Videos need improvement in HDR.

The camera is top notch, even has a telephoto lens at this price point with other flagship features like wireless charging, IP 68 rating snapdragon 7 gen. Premium build with curve display. Great phone, if it's gonna cost 28k the it's gonna sell like hot cakes.
I need your opinion whether the ufs 2.2 used in Motorola edge 50 pro does make a huge difference in performance when compared to OnePlus nordce4 or is it a big deal? I'm not a gamer but I need stable performance with no lag as my OnePlus 8.

my pixel's display broke yesterday so that's why I'm exploring options for a new device. Honestly edge 50pro seems a good deal. Specifically its display, charging, ip68. Processor is also good as I've used sd730g and being a non gamer I've never faced issue with that processor and compared to that "sd 7gen3" is definitely a good upgrade. Camera sensors are pretty capable but if we don't like the end result we can definitely tweak it a little bit in the photo editing app. I owned pixel and even there I hsd to do some minor tweaks some times. So overall I think this device can do and handle everything. (I'm not a moto fanboy)
Synthetic benchmarks are mjsleading so don't go on that and "ufs2.1" thingy on edge 50 pro is not a problem as in beebom's video we can see that the "ufs2.1" is at par with nord's "ufs3.1"
