This ending reminds of akame ga kill and alita the battle angle. Like everyone dies and they still didn’t kill the final boss. Is a second season even worth it though. Everyone’s gone.
I don't like futuristic type anime or guns.... I was attracted by the muaic..music... and fell in love with this anime. I can't help but imagine if David was still alive and held by the corp and season 2 he gets rescued or something. The ending hurts my heart. Rarely anime does this to me.... but I'm happy I watched it. But inside I'm screaming why did he have to die!!!!!😢
i think this is a good example of stories that have a start and ending. Writing stories without having to leave them open ended for an indefinite number seasons can sometimes be incredibly strong.

We all don't love forever, you have only two options bring remembered by the ones that mattered to you, or remembered by everyone who didn't matter. I love the cyberpunk world because it is our reality when technology has taken over our entire lives. It just magnified the worst parts of humanity and the best at the same time. Money currently has the same effect, who are you and how will you be remembered is a direct reflection of the inner you and your soul. Not everyone has a happy ending, for most they never have a happy ending.
As someone who struggles with emotions and telling people how I truly feel, watching this anime and watching how the love grew between these two. my heart was ripped to shreds when I saw how it ended, I was like I'm happy with the ending but I was so fucking sad I cried so hard, and now I'm here for the last 5 days just playing this song on loop with no end in sight. I don't think can move on from this song and how much grip it has on me

When this show came out, I thought, "Oh, a video game show. I'll give it a try.", but, dude, I didn't expect it to make me smile, laugh, and cry so much and what's more it got anime of the year award and it definitely deserves it. I literally thank god for this video because it really helps whenever I'm going through a hard time and I would think, "Wow, David's a outcast at school and gets bullied and what's worse is he lost his Mom.", that's something a lot of people can relate to. I always feel better knowing I'm not alone after watching this video.
I started this show because I needed a distraction from emotional damage. i ended up feeling even worse at the end of the last episode and cried my eyes out because shit hit so hard in augmented fantasy but 100% would rewatch for feels. I hope more people will watch this.

Sometimes I think about edge runners and can't believe that 12 episodes nearly a year later still resonate with me so much and it's amplified every single time I hear this song.
The night I watched the last episode of Edgerunners I was so emotionally moved that I was inspired to wright a whole song right there on the spot. Went on a date with a lovely lady.. walking through a forest and it just started dumping rain.. we ran, got drenched, never kissed, barely touched hands.. it was the most romantic thing I've ever experienced.. kind of got the feeling she felt the same way.. we appreciate eachother so much and have been through so much, it's hard to commit and potentially ruin something so fucking good and healing. But this is exactly how she makes me feel. Even 6 years later.. very few times in life will love find you before lust and it is worth cherishing and taking care of that. Anyone who makes life's colors look bright again, belongs in your life.. just try not to fuck it up. If the stars align, they'll do it when the time is right. Stay strong.. there are amazing things past the horizon and it's closer than it looks.

Most of sad anime make me cry, But this Anime makes me cry for a day, A lifetime depression And a sad emotion everytime I rewatch the ending and Hear the song, no matter how much i rewatch, It will still be sad
My friends always play this song when we just chilling and having fun. I had no idea from the first until I watched the movie myself and found that this song represents emotional elements such as sadness, sorrow, happiness, despair, and hope. It's ironic because all the elements come together, creating chaos and a confusing feeling. P.S.: I'm not an anime lover at all, but this is a masterpiece!

When I first watched Cyberpunk:Edgerunners, I felt a deep sense of sadness and emptiness inside. It weighed on me so much that I avoided watching the animation for a while. However, a year later, I gave it a second watch. Knowing the story already, I noticed new details, and instead of feeling the same sadness and emptiness I had the first time, I felt a sense of challenge and excitement. So, if you felt down after your first viewing, I encourage you to give it another try. You might find a new perspective.
I got romantic excitement when first time hearing this song between Lucy and David and it hits different at the ending when David wanted to save everyone especially Lucy 😢
its a shame that this anime wont get another season because where would the story go? and if they did make one there is no chance it would be better than the original
I don't know if it could top that crazy ending. But Night City like LA is a city of dreams and nightmares. There's always another solo that wants to climb their way to the top or at least die and become another legend that flew too close to the sun.
There’s something to be said for a series having a concrete ending and letting that stand. Night City has a bunch of stories that could be told, but I don’t know that I want them, let alone a direct sequel. We just have to carry that weight.
Easy. David died, fullfilling the dreams of everyone. Mom, reach the top of the tower. Mentor, metal out. Lucy, ...feel. So on, so on. In night city, it doesn't matter how you lived, but how you died. But Rebecca? Salvage, save, star as protaganist/false of next season.
I really Hope David got Lucy Pregnant, it would be nice that David's, sacrifice not only saved Lucy but gave her another reason to Live. I hope they can go that route if they choose to ever expand this amazing series. Regardless, I loved every second; I loved the whole crew, even Kiwi 🥝 she was just another misunderstood soul, but she got to redeem herself & see who her real family was. I loved Maine & Dorio as the crews parents. Rebecca the sweetest little girl & her poor bro. Last but not least the two cute little Lovebirds David & Lucy. Thank you Netflix/CDProjectRed/Trigger it was an Amazing experience.

Maybe I need to rewatch the anime (no, it hurts), but David in this story took the wrong path if we are talking about giving yourself to love.

The name David means "my love" and "moon seeker" in Hebrew. The name Lucy means "Lux: light" in Latin. The moon doesn't produce light, it just reflects the sun's light. He look to the moon for light, but there is no light there. From the beginning, the two were destined to be separated. The scene in the movie where they were laughing happily together on the moon.

Went on a date with a lovely lady.. walking through a forest and it just started dumping rain.. we ran, got drenched, never kissed, barely touched hands.. it was the most romantic thing I've ever experienced.. kind of got the feeling she felt the same way.. we appreciate eachother so much and have been through so much, it's hard to commit and potentially ruin something so fucking good and healing. But this is exactly how she makes me feel. Even 6 years later.. very few times in life will love find you before lust and it is worth cherishing and taking care of that. Anyone who makes life's colors look bright again, belongs in your life.. just try not to fuck it up. If the stars align, they'll do it when the time is right.

I had no idea from the first until I watched the movie myself and found that this song represents emotional elements such as sadness, sorrow, happiness, despair, and hope. It's ironic because all the elements come together, creating chaos and a confusing feeling.

When I first watched Cyberpunk:Edgerunners, I felt a deep sense of sadness and emptiness inside. It weighed on me so much that I avoided watching the animation for a while.
However, a year later, I gave it a second watch. Knowing the story already, I noticed new details, and instead of feeling the same sadness and emptiness I had the first time, I felt a sense of challenge and excitement.
So, if you felt down after your first viewing, I encourage you to give it another try. You might find a new perspective.

I don't know if it could top that crazy ending. But Night City like LA is a city of dreams and nightmares. There's always another solo that wants to climb their way to the top or at least die and become another legend that flew too close to the sun.
There’s something to be said for a series having a concrete ending and letting that stand.
Night City has a bunch of stories that could be told, but I don’t know that I want them, let alone a direct sequel. We just have to carry that weight.
Easy. David died, fullfilling the dreams of everyone. Mom, reach the top of the tower. Mentor, metal out. Lucy, ...feel. So on, so on. In night city, it doesn't matter how you lived, but how you died.
But Rebecca? Salvage, save, star as protaganist/false of next season.
It stands for itself and should be left alone. A heartbreaking and beautiful story. We all know a sequel won't feel right and won't be as good.

I really Hope David got Lucy Pregnant, it would be nice that David's, sacrifice not only saved Lucy but gave her another reason to Live. I hope they can go that route if they choose to ever expand this amazing series. Regardless, I loved every second; I loved the whole crew, even Kiwi 🥝 she was just another misunderstood soul, but she got to redeem herself & see who her real family was. I loved Maine & Dorio as the crews parents. Rebecca the sweetest little girl & her poor bro. Last but not least the two cute little Lovebirds David & Lucy. Thank you Netflix/CDProjectRed/Trigger it was an Amazing experience.

Maybe I need to rewatch the anime (no, it hurts), but David in this story took the wrong path if we are talking about giving yourself to love.
