I am really upset that I don’t come to the obvious solutions myself, like blinking past the nagas in the prison. I also was building towers which had very little yield, don’t know why I got so focused on them
Fact about the Summoner is that they take damage only on Magic Type like Mana Flare. But Chimera's own attack can damage the Summoner since Chimera has magic damage

I still think you can definitely defeat the Undead base first. Seeing how easily you pushed through Illidan's base it wouldn't have been particularly hard.
About what you said in the end, I was actually going to comment before getting to the end that even though I've watched pretty much all of this playlist, I still can't really tell what's going on in a battle. I was thinking that one would get used to it over time, but readability apparently doesn't exist, and the environment doesn't help either since models blend in with it. It is a shame that such a fundamental aspect for an RTS game is missing in reforged.
Time-stamps 2:00 - Have Maiev drop two items, run north alone, avoid as many Naga as possible. Send a fairy dragon next to the Paladin’s prison for Blink space. 2:20 - As Maiev is roaming with Blink, have Malfurion capture the east gold mine. 2:40 - Have a fairy dragon meet up with Maiev to give her more Blink range. 4:10 - Blink in the Paladin’s cell. Activate the Paladin’s immunity, have him run straight home. Send the fairy dragon home as well. 4:30 - Then have Maiev blink escape. 4:45 - While Maiev is out and about, have Malfurion guard the general area, and grab as many upgrades as possible! 5:35 - Build another Ancient of War 6:20 - Defend Kael 7:00 - Have the Paladin hero drop Robe of the Magi, give it to Malfurion. 7:30 - Have Maiev help guard Kael with Vengeance 7:40 - Guard the western front with Malfurion, Maiev, and others 9:10, 9:20 - Recruit a lot of Glaives for buildings, archers for the fliers. 16:00, 16:40 - Attacking the main enemy base. 16:50 - Animate dead 20:15, 21:00 - Completing the quest. The entire point of both the previous and the next mission is that the whole country is swarming with hordes of undead and no one has an army to challenge them directly. Having the blood elves defend makes Tyrande's sacrifice pay off (I mean, if they _weren't_ here with us we'd surely be asking why tf we even bothered to help them last mission) and them not aiding the attack preserves the challenge of the mission, otherwise it might be too easy to sneak in with a pack of chimeras or faerie dragons while all the couatl pile on top of Kael'Thas' doomed attack wave.
@@Photoloss it's possible to manipulate Kael to help in attack. Bait his priests to heal you and run with them to enemy base, let enemy attack priest but not kill it. If Kael is not preoccupied with undead, he will send his army to help.
Unfortunately I am not getting any of these advantages in this video because it has evidently changed. There is no "Animate the dead" or the tons of treasure drops beginning of map in your base... I always hated this mission. But not even having trees in the enemy base is super frustrating. Nobody even shows up to blow up his bases at the SAME TIME MARKER I attack the main base. Such a dumb mission. Never goes the way it does in other peoples videos.
"animate the dead or the tons of treasure drops" thats because those items are from Tyrande inventory, who is dead. You had to accumulate these items in previous missions, I think animate the dead was in Chapter Five: Balancing the Scales, and the scrolls were purchasable in goblin shops in Chapter Six: Shards of the Alliance, and some earlier missions. To manip the Kael forces to help you in destroying the bases you need to first run a damaged unit through Kael base such that his priest runs after it trying to heal it. Keep the priest running all the way to enemy base and when enemy attacks the priest AND Kaels base is not under attack, he will send his units to help the priest. Make sure the priest doesn't die before Kael arrives. Overall, instead of blaming the mission or game, just git gud noob.
I see what you mean, Besides seeing herself as some sort of Justice and Vengeance incarnate and ending up being an antagonist in the process, her talents and abilities are quite unique, a part of me sees this as a waste, but oh well, at least she'll show up again in the next campaign.
Well, in the lore, she was being influenced by the shadow orb that you pick up in Sargeras Tomb. It makes her obsession that much worse and slowly makes her focus ONLY on capture Illidan and nothing else matters. They don't really hit on it in the game, but in the lore, that is what is happening. She never would have lied to Shando or done any of that other stuff if the Orb hadn't been influencing her.

Maiev saves Arthas, Undead Scourge and the Lich King from Illidan.
Because Illidan was considered the worse threat. I wonder if he wasn't right, despite rending Northrend apart.

Despite the elves being considered the best race, speaking of how good of people they are, they do some sketchy stuff.

i find disabling healthbars helps a lot in visibility but then you need to keep a mental track of whats being damaged to not lose units
but true, in the original everything was so sharp. Meanwhile in reforged they put in this weird fog like effect and everything just washes in together
