#minecraft #reaction
Thanks guys for the fun reactions. Always keep in mind. All these machines are created by countless dedicated and smart people. I am just the messenger 🐐
G.O.A.T.
you’re a legend!
You're such a legend and an inspiration for redstoners and all of the minecraft community. As shown in this video anyone, minecrafter or not, everyone can get impressed by your work. Keep up it up!
Absolutely NOT fluffy!
5:07 Quantum superposition is the idea that particles exist in multiple states at once. When a measurement is performed, it is as if the particle selects one of the states in the superposition.
What he’s done is made a single pig exist in 2 places at once which is why he calls it the quantum pig and has then used the quantum pig to slingshot himself
Doc always gives credit to his Hivemind crew. He is friends with a lot of the top technical minecraft players which help him design many of his projects.
Good catch. Love the Hive Mind.
The hive mind is members on the Scicraft server right? I see him on the scicraft server discord alot
Hivemind are the best to do it 👌
@@CriticalCipher yup.
@@CriticalCipher some are but not all of the hivemind is scicrafters and not all scicrafters are part of that but yes they overlap
His name is Docm77 but he actually has a doctoral degree in political science with a focus on healthcare. He was also a professional basketball player (I assume in the Euros or a professional German league) for 15 years.
By far one of the coolest and good hearted dudes.
His username comes from his time playing basketball at the local American military base. The American soldiers called him Dr. M, in reference to Dr. J. He originally created the UA-cam account to comment on street basketball videos.
my favorite story doc tells is that he was like a teenager when they took down the wall between east and west Germany :D and that mess's with my perception of time XD i'd honestly love to hear him talk more about it :o
technically he has a Ph.D in social science for his dementia research
Thunder God
I love these guys just glance over the fact that, he uses Diamond Ore as the blocks to put his redstone on. His machine basically break the economy of any world he's on.

ask yourself, did you do enough to make the great goat leader proud today? the answer is always... you could have done more.
Grind, Optimize, Automate, Together
God I miss season 9
Doc got his name from when he was a pro basketballer, his team used to just call him "The Docm" like Doctor J but with his last name initial at the end, he was born in 1977. Also he is super smart IRL, definitely one of the smartest UA-camrs on the platform. He has the highest level of Electronic Engineering Degree in Germany (which explains the Redstone skillz) and a Ph.D. in Social Science for his dementia research. He likes growing Tomatoes too.
He has a Ph.D.? That's crazy, although I guess it shouldn't surprise me.
It is Doc's world, we're just living in it
Look in depth at all the machines in Docs perimeter season 9, the creeper canon, anvil canon, wither skull canon, server loud speaker system, etc..
The permiter was the 1st place I went to when season 9 became available.
The quantum railgun blew me away the most! Not to mention the sand teleporter he had at his starter base (reliant on the nether roof state change locker). And how he got the zombies to all path toward 0,0,0 and rigged a fox at spawn so he didn't even need to log in after restarts to get it working again.
The railgun was insane. Sending an arrow thousands and thousands of blocks in seconds, through physical blocks, at a speed that not only insta-kills but also deletes their armor. Bonkers.
@@philberto53 Yeah, it one shot like 5 wardens in a row
@@philberto53 right!!
Doc is brilliant and so much more. He has a team behind him called the Hive Mind and a group of dedication artist called the DCP who he spotlights in episodes. He is the biggest ally of LGBT. Also the man is hilarious. GOAT
CAREFUL, while a supporter, Doc ain't as supportive as a few others... and I'm betting two or three are actually gay. They just don't advertise the fact BECAUSE IT'S NOT RELEVANT, (One of the biggest Hermits was on server over three years before life series banter verified... BTW i suspect a third of Lifers are gay, BUT AGAIN, IRRELEVANT !!)
@@qazwiz you probably shouldn't speak on things you know nothing about.
@@qazwizlol what, from HC Cleo and Gem are bi, that's it. Adding Life series members, Scott is gay and Lizzie is bi. You know these people livestream, talk about their lives, are on social media right? Most of the hermits are married/in a committed relationship/have kids, that's a whole lot of assumptions you're making there. The fact they're all very supportive of the lgbtq+ community doesn't make them gay?
Does Doc have anything to do with Scicraft?
@didi81_ that person was speaking so much nonsense lol
You missed his instant death arrow. Which is my favorite doc build
That one is insane and lets not forget poppy technology.
The s8 waterfall of flesh (zombie pig farm) is my personal favorite just because of Ren's reaction to seeing it start up.
Or the anvil cannon
These boys comparing Doc to Elon Musk...... don't insult Doc in that way.
Fr, even if you like Musk he's not the guy doing the research, improving the science, engineering anything... he's a talking head. And it's more than fair not to like Musk because he's a frankly terrible and trashy human being who pushes pseudoscience and got his start in blood money from his wealthy South African family. Doc is leagues above Musk in intelligence, and is a much better person to boot.
Where's the insult? He's the Musk of minecraft
@@gavinmoore29541. doc does NOT like musk and has been pretty vocal about it. he is morally opposed to musk and would absolutely take offense at the comparison.
2. musk has never actually done anything genuinely impressive except be rich. he's not a scientist, he's not an inventor, he pays other people to do those things for him.
doc on the other hand... even if it's not entirely his own design, actually understands what he's building and how it works and is close friends with the people that help him do it. he is knowledgeable, has a strong moral compass, and is hard working; musk is none of those things.
Elon doesn't invent or build anything. Maybe he gets ideas but pays others to bring them to fruition. Not a genius, but perhaps evil in the way he treats his employees. Doc, on the other hand, an actual genius who always gives credit to people who assist him. Funny and warm-hearted despite his gruff exterior.
Mate, musk just bought companies that were already doing stuff, he isn't a hero and to those of us who think, he never was. Also, calling him "African American" is literally a meme about identity politics being taken to absurd lengths, he grew up filthy rich and is descended from white slave owners, just cause they didn't transport their slaves out of Africa doesn't mean that's better somehow. He's a clown who's actively harming the world and economy while exploiting programs to make his tiny car company have a massively outsized footprint. Also he loves crushing free speech.
Doc is doing all of this while helping raise a 3 year old. He is truly insane
(He also loves it when you call him fluffy😊)
He is the floofiest guy.
HE IS NOT FLUFFY OR WHOLESOME. HE IS A BADASS.
@@mrtoast244He is both and he rocks it
@@mrtoast244 He's absolutely both.

I used many docm77 designed builds in my hardcore world, hands down one of the most creative and intelligent minecraft players
Doc does help create stuff but he does have a community that helps create and think of these contraptions. Its not just him. He is kind of just the face
Praise the G.O.A.T.
THE GOAT 💚
Love to see him featured in one of these, that mad scientist and The Hivemind deserve shoutouts.
Hermitcraft for Doc is basically just him showcasing all the crazy stuff discovered in each version of the game, by both him and the Hivemind, while the rest of the server is scared. Doc never disappoints and he ISN'T FLUFFY. From shadow tech and wither cages in Season 8, to max level perimeter farms, wireless Redstone, crazy weapons and ai manipulation in Season 9 (Season 9 was peak imo) to ridiculously high output wood farms (to the point where chunk skipping boat cannons are required to transport bonemeal from bonemeal farms since the amount produced lags the client horribly) and also his auto crafter centric base and storage system which basically gives him a computer with a Creative mode inventory in Season 10. Also Doc travelled at half the speed of light to the farlands (which we saw in this compilation... essentially he tricks the game into thinking the pig boat is in two places at once and it stores a crazy amount of energy) and like 2 million blocks in the air (breeze charges) within the span of a few episodes.
The best part though is how he explains it in a way that a total noob can understand. I like how his Poker was included too, it's a super complex and compact machine but it's actually a good Poker game and showcases his fun side a bit more. The only thing that outweighs his smarts however is his sheer dedication. Every single block in the perimeter was placed by hand by him. People called him crazy for making full sized murals and trims, even his own viewers, but he knew he wanted the Perimeter to look cool. A few of his farms also literally took days straight of just block placing. He's the perfect person to be playing this game tbh.
He made a sand duper which made infinite sand which lagged the server so bad he got banned from ever making it again
Doc uploads movies every week. You guys could do so many episodes of his shenanigans. Especially his pranks.
To further explain the Quantum Pig - Doc tricked the game into essentially pre-loading the pig with a ridiculous amount of forward momentum while he was too far away for the game to actually carry out the process of moving said pig. Then he used a machine to pull the pig physically over to his position, hopped onto it, and clicked on the noteblock to send a chain of system updates over to the space where the game still had the pig's momentum being calculated, letting it finally execute the process all at once, resulting in the pig flying through the Minecraft world at warp speeds.
and they hadn't even seen when he brought the enderdragon to the overworld
To keep as a PET
@@hoopa6477 exactly!
My understanding of what happened with the quantum pig (I might be wrong) is that he did something to make the game think the pig was in on chunk that is unloaded when the pig is actually in a different location that he moved it to. Now that there the pig is in 2 locations he rides the one pig and then when he presses the noteblock it sends a red stone signal that loads the chunk that the game thought the pig was in. When that chunk loads, the game realizes the pig has move, finds where the pig is now, and assumes that the pig was moving with enough speed to move from the original location to the new location. Now because the pig has a ton of speed he gets launched and Doc rides it for 4M blocks
Kinda close.
The chunk wasn’t unloaded it was lazy loaded so things in it aren’t loaded normally.
In the lazy-loaded chunk the pig was pulled out of a minecart and moved to a location where 600 boats were spawned to sort of entity cram and power it, but because it wasn’t loaded perfectly the game thought the pig was still in the minecart. After that it was move to Doc where after pressing the button the minecart was broken and the game realized that the pig wasn’t where it thought it was and thus computed all the stored energy and used it.
@@willowwispwolf I'll take being kinda close when I just guessed based of the knowledge I have of Minecraft and how I could imagine it working.
Docm77 is amazing, we love him on the hermitcraft server ! Thanks guys for another TST Minecraft react ! We love these as well !
Shouts out to that PERFECT analogy about the fire nation and earth kingdom. I snorted.
15:45 oh man you should react to “hermits after dark”
That would be hilarious🤣
BEGGING for some Hermitcraft members on the pod! Grian, Mumbo, Scar, Doc, etc. would be fantastic.
Didn't scar comment on one of these videos saying he wants to play cod?
@ considering how many Hermits got their start on COD, I would be mindblown to see a TST x HC crossover. Maybe running some games in both COD and a Minecraft run.
Generational crossover.
@@Howzieky do we know what vid
I know sometime soon Grian will be releasing a server tour of season 10 so far that you boys could react to
technically there is no border in minecraft....BUT every sane server has one because generating an infinite amount of block data would break every computer ever. It used to break the game but I think "the farlands" (where literally the game and world gen and stuff would not really work) was patched a while ago.
"Farlands" used to be some sort of absurdly broken terrain generation combined with all sorts of broken game physics. Something to do with the code in Java not being able to handle calculations correctly at those coordinates. They did something at some point that fixed most of that behavior so the terrain generation looks the same as anywhere else. I think the physics still aren't perfect, though? Like in that video of Doc's where he got out to that border, moments after where the compilation they were watching ended that clip, he tested some flaw still present in the game's code that far out which made it possible to piston push a top slab and a bottom slab of different block types into the same block space as each other to create an impossible block.
Every world has a border because at some point the world can’t continue to generate normally but in a regularly generated world it’s 30 million blocks out so you ain’t gonna hit easily
@@willowwispwolf probably. But Minecraft originalluy didnt have a border. I'm sure there are 103423423 different game rules today
@@justmarcus33 Yea the new border was a rule created to fix the farlands
Docm77 is awesome. The Hivemind makes things as well, or feeds him ideas. He's been part of Sci-craft which is a LOT of machines that break the game in various ways...he's managed to make shadow items or a "cloud network" multiple times even doing it AFTER they "patched it so it couldn't be done" so yeah, Docm77 is a genius.
1:40 Blake was so right with that analogy 😂
I spit out my water when it swapped to Hitch’s face lmao 😂
@@Yulvw "keep going" had me dead
No one gonna mention. In pretty much most of doc's redstone builds, he uses deepslate diamond ore. He is so rich he builds with diamonds for redstone

Doc and Etho are my favorite youtubers, been watching them over ten years, even when im not playing Minecraft.
I recently thought of _doc shop_ from elybeatmaker and when I looked it up it was 11years ago. Time sure flies bye.
At one point he made a bow, so powerful that not only could it one shot anything but also destroy their armor in the process because of how much damage it did. As in it would instantly break a *netherite chestplate* from a single shot.
He literally made a GOD BOW in vanilla Minecraft 😂
I've watched so much Doc stuff that I've become so desensitised to how unreal what he does, it was so cool to see peoples reactions from outside of that bubble. Like the term "quantum pig" doesn't even seem so strange anymore but I'd never really thought about how ridiculous that is 😂
You should show these guys some of the things by Zedaph like his Combrewter or TangoTek's Decked Out game
Fun fact: that poker machine was built in collaboration with Purplers (a very cool redstone UA-camr!)
Blake is goated for that ATLA reference 😂
The GOAT (Grind Optimize Automate Thrive) and his Hivemind!
You should do GoodTimesWithScar next. His season 9 finale where he tours his MASSIVE ScarLand base that was built entirely in survival.
um, actually, you are missing a few key details... but , Docm77 and his buddies (the hivemind) love breaking the game and doing cool things, he was not allowed to dupe sand anymore, so he is charging sand at his new shops. the Hermitcraft server has lots of different people that are really friends, and they all do different things. they listen to and work with each other.
Ohh i love Doc, a true OG. super wholesome guy too
The Note Block is actually the easiest part to understand.
If you place a Note Block with an Observer looking at it, every time you right-click the note block, you produce a 1-tick redstone pulse.
So instead of right-clicking a Stone Button that stays on for a whole second
Or a Wooden Button that stays on for 1.5 second when you press it
You use a Note block, and it can be pressed again after 0.2 second. So 5 times per second, if you can click fast enough. Plus, it looks cooler! >.>
Y'all didn't even get to shadow tech, which is honestly even more insane than any of the stuff shown in this video. It was the reason I started watching Doc back in Season 8, and I've never seen anything that comes close to it in over 10 years of playing Minecraft.
With the pig, he basically found a way to give it an absurd amount of momentum.
One of the funniest pranks on the server was when most of the other minecrafters teamed up and terraformed the perimeter to look like it had never happened.
You could tell in his reaction video he was equally impressed and amused lol
Imagine if the fire nation had dry coral fans... I shudder at the thought.
Doc is one of the most wonderful actual real humans. He is always so engaged with his community and has and will always stand up for them. His work is insane yes but the guy behind all of this goat energy is simpley wonderful
That World Eater is heretical.
Docm77 is literally my hero. He’s an outstanding man and an incredible Minecrafter.
Have y’all seen his season 9 charged creeper launcher? That’s an insane build, and he did it for a prank
Hermitcraft S8 was amazing. I was a part of Hermatrix and helped decipher some of the clues. It was such a fun idea to include the community ❤
You gotta show them the “space pig” episode when Doc uses compressed “breeze bullets” to fly to orbit. It’s pretty awesome.
"This is doc's world and we're just allowed to live in it"
Doc is absolut my comfort content creatoor. Both at yt at twitch. amazing human. and yes, insane in the best posible way!
What's more crazy is that, this is not built in Creative mode. Pure dedication and talent coming from Doc.
It's the goats world, we just live in it
This is the Goat's world! You just live in it!
This is the Goat's world, you just live in it.
Doc is one of the absolute best minecraft youtibers ever! Mango, Doc and Ethos.
Doc is backed by the hivemind and is great friends with most of the "Scicraft" server members and gives credit to all the designers of most of his builds.
7:52 that explanation is messing with my brain, I swear I’ll never understand how that happening makes any sense whatsoever!
Not that hard to understand if you know Minecraft
@@Meepie_Playz Yeah I can’t understand technical things, clearly. I just play the game, build, explore & mine.
The gist is that he builds up a tonne of momentum in the pig with the tnt but since the tnt part is close but not too close only part of the physics engine is running. He moves the pig with pistons so the pigs momentum is still enormous from the tnt but the game hasn't updated it's physics all the way (hence "quantum pig" - the game's physics engine is calculating different parts of the pigs physics as if it's in two different places). When he hits the noteblock he triggers a physics update and it launches the pig.
@@twinlamp he also often uses noteblocks instead of buttons/levers to trigger redstone.
It's Doc's world, we just live in it. The Hivemind are behind the GOAT. Jono has composed all of Doc's music along with a few other bits for the hermits.
Docm77 is GOAT.
Dude manipulates Minecraft like Neo manipulates the Matrix. It's truly insane.
Been watching doc for well over a decade he’s a chain smoking genius
The Poker game is so good now it is done. He made a drycleaner on top, and he has armorstands doing a show on a stage. Epic.
Cant wait for you all to see Mumbos S10 base, the progression he's made in his building is unreal, and its nowhere near even done yet
His insta-kill armor destroying arrow launcher was another banger.
So, just so you know: in older versions of minecraft technically there was no world border, and, technically, you can disable the border still. However, there WAS a different kind of border, once you passed the max integer location in any direction the world became “farlands” the 4 cardinal directions became stacked horizontal flat layers of world that overlapped, and the 4 diagonal directions became angled vertical layers that intersected. If you traveled past these VERY strange things started happening to mobs, items, physics, player stats, and more. Eventually you ended up dropping through the world because the world could not load correct block location data
13:49 The lightning, while visually cool, isn't actually the impressive part of that build. In Bedrock, it's dead simple to generate lightning like that but that is because Bedrock tridents don't have a despawn timer when thrown. They'll always sit where you throw them and are even a part of an entire branch of technical building allowing for afk farming with Looting III. Java on the other hand has a despawn timer so his build has to constantly keep the game thinking the trident is still being thrown and hasn't landed yet so that the tridents don't despawn after a minute.
They should present the scicraft server and team instead. That's where most of Doc's ideas come from.
edit: There's a Mumbo Jumbo 2 epsiodes where he visits the server. Gives a good overview of what they are capable of.
And now look what Tango build with Decked Out and Decked Out2 that’s also mind blowing :)
iirc, doc surprised ren with the lightning thing. Like, ren had asked doc if he could make it be hit with lightning for their story/lore, so he knew it was gonna be, but he didnt know itd be like THAT.
This is Doc's world, we just live in it.
don't forget, updates ruin redstone contraptions, Doc has to redo so many things to make them work now, like the puff air things from the breeze that launch a pig into space.
Doc's themesong is by Jono Smithers, who is Rendog's brother. He does a few of the Hermit's and is on twitch and youtube.
DocM brought the Ender Dragon through to the over world in Hermicraft season 9.
that blew a few minds
You guys should REEAALLLY look at Doctor4t and his crazy minecraft mods. Bro and his crew are INSANE! I’d recommend his Coding a custom Minecraft Horror Dimension, & $50,000 Eldritch Minecraft Mod videos! They’re amazing!!
I’ve been to the world boarder on two servers. But I walked there in the nether. It’s actually pretty cool to see. The maps are called map art. I’ve made them before. It’s basically a huge pixel art that fills a map like a painting. The largest map art I’ve seen is 32x64. My largest I’ve made is 11x9 and it’s of the Pillar of Autumn from Halo. Also he gets help with this stuff. The gambling machine was actually made with the help of somebody else who made a video on it then he built it on the server.
Not to mention how he only uses diamond ore for redstone lines in survival minecraft. You sould also look up the time grian and scar messed with his tunnel borer.
Me watching doc- man he explains it so well just give it ago... then I make it in my Minecraft world, getting amazing loot from my farm❤
Me watching grian : this building is so easy just do blah blah blah I end up with a Frankenstein of creation 💀
Doc and Tango are my favorite hardcore redstoners on Hermitcraft, with Tango being massively more into the mini game space, Mumbo is also really great but I wouldn't quite put him to their level though he's up there
ahh your watching a season 9 one; his season 10 intro is fire and contraptions are crazier.
Another hermit y’all should definitely look at for his insane builds is Keralis. His full blown city that he built was nuts
Scicraft Minecraft Sever you have got to react. It's like a sever of only Docm77's on steroids. Your minds will explode. I recommend watching Mumbo 2nd tour or their builds and farms as they explain a lot of what the builds are and what they do so that why Mumbo's vid is a good one, I think.
Been watching docm since the mindcrack days. Cool seeing the OpTic boys react, been following before hutch joined as well. Crazy meeting of worlds ahah
You need to see when he 1 shot scar with an arrow from over 3k blocks away.
Honestly the most insane thing I think I've seen is his arrow warp cannon
Just to clarify, Docm, is not the array of lightning bolts but the character below the label. The thumbnail is misleading there ;)
7:37 That’s actually really close to what happened with the pig. The pig was in a minecart and was pulled out of it and then the pig had 600 boats spawn to power it to go so far and then when Doc hit the noteblock it broke the minecart and the game computed everything that happened like that the pig wasn’t where it was supposed to be and it used the stored energy from the boats to launch it.
now you back to reacting to minecraft builds you guys should check out the middle earth server
When the fire nation attacks 😂😂😂😂😂
we are so lucky doc uses his massive intellect for Minecraft and not like. world domination
Season 8 poppy technology literally gave me chills
Watching Docm77's Villain Arc live LOL
Doc's poker game was fun but you should look at The game Vintage Beef made out of maps in the same season. It was so well developed he made over 100 individual cards.
14:20 the sound from this was literally heard across the server haha
I wouldn't call Doc an evil genius, everyone knows he's a soft a cuddly genius.
Blake with the goated Avatar reference
Can tell these guys have not played minecraft since they think it might have been faster to mine it by hand. The permiter he dug is 33 by 33 chunks this is an average of 22.3 million normal blocks and 18.1 million deepslate blocks. This on average would take with haste 2 beacon and efficiency 5 diamond tool about an hour per chunk to dig, there are 1089 chunks. So if a person were to dig for 12 hours a day they would have to dig for 90 DAYS. If one were to builod this world eater and run it by the time the world eater is done (which btw you just have to watch it run which is like no work) the person digging would have down about 1.1019 percent of the size the whole it dug out. I don't know why they can even imagine digging for 12 hours would beat that🤣
i think it's more that they didný understand the scope or how quickly doc builds devices
@@danielwilson8604 Don't think thats just it since anyone can tell at glance that he placed less than a million blocks and theres now way placing afew thousand blocks is slower than digging a couple million. Even if it took a 5 days to do the prep and building the machine which it usually does, that's still way less than 90 days
And that doesn't even take into account the amount of pickaxes you would have to repair/make
