American Fork Wins Arcadia Invite 4xMile!

- American Fork (UT) High School's Ben Jaster, Seth Smith, Ben Bradshaw and Daniel Simmons claimed the 2022 Arcadia Invitational 4xMile in a quick 17:13.24. That's the number 15 time all-time in US high school history.
Portland (OR Jesuit's quartet of Josh Augustine, Gus Clevenger, Jacob Nenow and Caden Swanson took home 2nd in 17:16.89.
Both times are number 2 all-time in each school's respective state.

So impressed with these guys! Especially how the anchor came from behind and won the race. Nice job guys!

Sad that newbury park didn’t field a team.
NP would have easily won and perhaps set the track record. With three seniors and junior Dev Doshi, it would have been no contest. Last year NP ran an indoor 4xmile under 16:30 - in New York. Aaron Sahlman ran the (slowest!) leg in a blistering 4:11. Compare that to Simmons in this race - anchor for American Fork this year at 4:10, likely the fastest time of all the runners.
American Fork (2017) holds the meet and high school record in this race at 16:41 which is about 16:48 for 4 miles.

@@ayeeffvee8173 Yes it could be Brayden Seymour who is a fast miler, and a senior.
@@wiggles3238 I ran XC in high school a long time ago, our best varsity runners could barely beat 5 min/mile. I'm a fan of the marathon but I've been reading about Newbury Park when I learned they may have the best high school team of any sport in the U.S.
Seeing the Jesuit Jersey and seeing that it was my hometown school afterwards was exciting!
What are the ages of the American fork runners? Looks like some of them still have a year or two left in high school age division.
