I love what the low carb community does for "us". The docs are really great. I have been know to quote Dr Unwin's definition of carbs: "sugar molecules holding hands". Thanks, everyone!

To be fair, not necessarily ketogenic. But all of them were in favour of restricting carbohydrates and boosting ‘nutrient dense’ foods. Dr unwin specifically said to eat nutrient dense foods that don’t spike your insulin. So that means eggs, cream, cheese, meat, fish etc. He also volunteered the stat that his successful patients were reporting a carb intake of about 75g per day. I believe this detail is important because carbs are nice to eat. For example it’s a bit difficult to eat cheese without a cracker! But the underlying message is probably ‘go ahead and eat the cracker but eat it with a big lump of cheese’. This stands on its head current dietary advice which is ‘eat the crackers as long as they’re whole grain. Eat lots of them but avoid eating the cheese!'
Anyway this dietary advice which we have had in the uk for about 40 years is disastrous. Let me be clear there is probably nothing wrong with a ketogenic diet and it’s probably a very good thing. But your average person needing to alter dietary intake just won’t go there and it probably isn’t necessary.

#3 sounds very over complicated. It would not work for me. Sorry.
